It already did.
(Now guess which anime I'm thinking of)

kiki's delivery service

I am far from an anime fiend and find most of it silly, nor am I OP, but there is some great anime and I loved The Master and Margarita and want to know.

At best that is a very superficial rendition.

Stoner

I feel like they could make William Stoner into a Japanese man quite easily.

puella magi magical whatever

the sun also rises could be adapted to be set in a highschool possibly even genderswapped into a harem anime

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Looking at the wikipedia entry, it lacks all of the social and political commentary of The Master and Margarita, it looks like standard anime trope, regular people become super heros fighting mystical creatures. I might watch it, but I doubt it.

It's a bit more than that but you definitely won't find any gripping commentary

So what you are saying is it is not at all like The Master and Margarita.

>anime adaptation

well i dont wanna just list off every anime with a talking cat so i give up.

>reduces the book to a talking cat

yeah, it is a good idea to give up.

Infinite Jest

dont be so dense. its only that i cant think of any anime that reminds me of master and margarita or even faust so a talking cat seems like the only clue i could use

I was under the impression you were

The Remembrance of Earth's Past

Yes, all three books.

Dune

Do you have high hopes for the upcoming movie adaptation? I think it's going to be at least decent judging by casting. Good Harkonnen. Meh Leto but he dies quick anyways. Chamelet's performance will determine if it will be great imo. Mid-game Paul is a very different role from a lot of his previous work.

I really want it to be good.

are you familiar with the work of the director? top notch on his part but often problems with the script writing. a couple of examples are that in "Prisoners" a supposedly top notch detective does jack shit for the whole movie then stumbles into the answer by chance and in "Arrival" humans gain the ability to see through time simply by studying a forgien language, then can alter the outcome of some events but not others. can prevent a bomb from going off but cannot prevent a child from becoming fatally ill. fingers crossed the man he's working with can adapt it from page to screen but for now, high hopes and low expectations.

The chinese should get off their asses and make a good animated adaptation of Three Kingdoms.
They did a fucking anime on Marx’s life for fuck’s sake.

Yeah, I’ve seen Arrival, Prisoners, and 2049. 2049 was the best by far, Prisoners fell apart a bit and Arrival was... okay. I liked the alien design at least. I don’t know how much input he had on the scale and set design of 2049 but I think if he can pull that off again the movie will be fine.

Wut it's not even close

That is not the way time works in arrival it's similar to slaughter house 5.

its on the wikipedia list of works influenced by faust and the white thing looks more like a cat than a human.

who's the loli?
and why is it the cat?

Well, what is it?

suspect it was the user that said Puella Magi Madoka Magica and once was shown stupid pretended to be a different user.
