Dude 5 pages and 5 hours break? It’s more like 5 days playing and masturbating non stop.

the sugar melts your brain and makes you less willing to read more

I'm craving cocoa puffs. Please help me stray myself from the demonic temptatioms of sugary sweet choco balls swimming in the disgusting breast milk of the bovine devil creature.

that's my battle to fight.

Milk is good. Eat it with red meat (rare)

There's not much to be done about one's idea of fun. I've read all of Montaigne close to 10 times during the last 20 years, but I'm sure most people couldn't stand him even once, because his gloriously massive and benign ego would get on their nerves. As for video games, the last one I played is "Tempest", in 1982, on a machine installed in a convenience store along the route from High School, and only at the prompting of friends who smoked up a storm in the presence of my virgin lungs. I hated the fucking thing, and the only thing I like about today's craze for them is how it fuels development of hardware useful for computationally intensive graphics practiced as an art. I've killed more hours twiddling the light & color parameters of MB3D than I've spent at the eyepiece of telescopes. Naturally I regret all of this only in Lord Henry's sense of regretting everything--which is almost indistinguishable from regretting nothing.

I am so ashamed of what this board has become.

>imagine reading kant while yelling at my mom to bring me more sips and shitposting

Sometimes I struggle to read a page. Other times I can read 20 easy. Or 50. One time I read for an hour straight. Another time I read like 200 pages without stopping. I definitely read more than I used to, problem is I can't force myself. It's only when I want to, and sometimes I just lose all interest in it altogether.

But I'm maintaining the interest more and more these days.

I want to leave, but I have nowhere else to go and would just be a weirdo who has no idea about current trends. I'm too young to be that old.

Literally go on reddit for a couple hours. There isn't that much to figure out.

I know that feel

America was never great
Maybe when it was a British colony and the based British saw the natives and decided they didnt like them

Sugar contains essential fast burning carbohydrates that are essential for your brain to survive, ackshually

I don't see the problem with this if it's M&Ms or Skittles or some shit.

Yeah but refined sugar gives you cancer

So does literally everything

>Yea Forums or eight chan

You’re right.

Everything except most things

how have i sunk so low

Honestly this.
When I've read a few hundred pages I have to force myself to "reward" me with eating or getting some fresh air

Do you have a job?
Do you lift?

Fact: You have cancerous cells inside you right now

teach me your ways, senpai (I'm fucking serious)

Me too. But then again, I live in a shithole without any book clubs.

I DONT understand what this picture is supposed to be

After reading your posts I sure do

I do this too, I generally know after the first quarter of a book if it's gonna end up wasting my time but I keep reading it anyway because I need to see it through. It's really petty and wastes my life but I'd probably be wasting it anyway.
