Thinking Fast and Slow is a classic but no longer up-to-date. Our Political Nature and Predisposed are very interesting to me. Behave by Sapolsky is good. A textbook like the one by David M. Buss could be an option. Geoffrey Miller is interesting but maybe a bit too speculative. Then there's Scott Barry Kauffman.
