You made at least one of us here envious

Not online.

>tfw the only used book stores in town have like 10$ books on average
Why are books cheaper everywhere except for me?
even if you only end up reading Nine Stories, it will still be worth it
yep pretty good stuff
Thrift store had a hardcover copy of Pynchon's Against the Day for a buck and a quarter that.

I would not buy any of those personally.
Sometimes I pay $40 for a single book, but I get exactly what I want rather than a random assortment. Hardcovers last longer, and I am planning on keeping my books for decades. Worth the price.
They saw you coming.
>guys do I fit in yet? A-am I Yea Forums?
They look almost new. Would be worth a lot more than 40 if you read them all! Would be worthless if you don't read any!
If you read them, yes
if you understand them
>he doesn't like Austen
Pseud detected!
what edition is that of tractatus? it looks so nice
hows that edition of the death of ivan ilych so thick? isnt that book like 80 pages?
"And other stories"
I know very little about Jane Austen; my interest in books lies in non-fiction rather than fiction. I am not a literary sad to say; perhaps I should become one.
Great books that you'll never read
average good condition paperback goes for about 6$ at mine, I guess around 10 for bookstoppers (both volumes of a man without qualities have been sitting there for years).
>tractacus for cheap
nice
i like pensées too though
>man without qualities
20$ for a hardback set of man without qualities ... its buy that.
that's a good haul
& I said what about breakfast at Tiffany's, & she said what about hanging with you.
All the 19th century stuff is legally free online y'know
Anyone here in Sydney?
Depends entirely up to you.
>Memecarthy's second weakest book
You did grab Confederacy of Dunces, which is one of the funniest American books of the past hundred years.
how can someone with such a good taste spend money on Wittgenstein?

I stand by both statements.
