Retarded kino.
Unironically both
It's pretentious and niggery. So yeah, retarded
kino of course
retard
Both, more retarded than kino, but they're some kino scenes.
Great trailer terrible movie
Nobody would have cared about it whatsoever if it wasn't starred by black people.
kino for retards
It's black 'The Broken'.
I don't think so, because the movie has enough else going on and is well received in other countries that aren't as brainfucked as the USA. Even with white actors the flick would have pulled a big part of starved horror fans.
What's with them speaking and acting like a stereotypical white family from the suburbs. I never in my life have seen niggers act this way. What did they mean by this???
It’s fucking shit. Seems like a college film project
>the clones somehow manage to mimic the exact actions of the originals in the cramped underground tunnels to the point of having the same looking kids and managing to be under the same place as them somehow.
>They somehow manufacture red robes and gold scissors.
How does the world fucking work. Nonsensical and embarassing.
Hollywood has become so gentryfied that the only roles left for black actors is white people.
It's a fucking hilarious trend, when you see that the actor normally don't talk and act like this. I mean there is just a different sound to when a black person or asian talks, not in a bad way but it's there. I feel like this latest trend to write minorities as white as possible stems from the idea that this is how "mature/white" people talk and it's double hilarious when it's only lefty cunts raging about internalized racism who are doing it.
It started off kino, but the ending makes no sense.
fpbp.
It was retino af.
It is extremely incoherent and retarded
-Humans cant survive on rabbit
-Why didnt the original girl leave the tunnels
-If the clones and originals share a soul
Why did the clone girl had free will? Since the original girl had the "soul"
-what was making the clones copy the actions of the originals?
-who fed them once the goverment cancelled the project?
-how could the girl give birth down there without doctors
It goes on and on and on and on
Retarded retarded retarded
They're meant to be privileged "well spoken" Black people you retards. That's the point. Social/economic Class and privilege is the central theme.
It was so bad, I tapped out after about 30 mins. Just couldn't watch another minute. Get Out was shit, but at least I was able to make it through. Us was just unwatchable.
Lupita is great in it.
100% retarded. Lupita is indeed great but nothing could have saved this.
At the end, the boy was able to make the clone walk into the fire
But the entire rest of the movie, the clones, all the clines even the white ones have free will.
Why did the clone boy had free will everywhere but at the end walks into the fire?
>DUDE! Privileges! LMAO!
Yes, I totally got all that from an hour of home invasion flick. Should've cut Red's monologue where she explains everything. Such exposition drop feels like they realized that movie they made doesn't relay message they wanted.
>no security
>no cameras
>doors seems to have no locks
>just an escalator (ONE escalator that goes only down, guess clones know how to operate it)
It was a good horror film - the film itself wasn't scary but the themes were horrifying.
>Yes, I totally got all that from an hour of home invasion flick. Should've cut Red's monologue where she explains everything. Such exposition drop feels like they realized that movie they made doesn't relay message they wanted.
Even at the beginning they had a quote about the empty tunnels in america and the hands together garbage.
I think test screenings might have gone terrible for them to spoonfeed the audience
it was okay
get out was way better
kinda both
Considering Jordan Peele's other works, I'm thinking it was just his own original and bad writing.
Same sort of info dump happened in Get Out rather than allowing for the audience to just piece things together on their own. I'm guessing part of the issue is the desire to include bits of comedy and action but not knowing how to weave it into the movie so it still adds something to the narrative so he practically has to beat the audience over the head with his messages to have it all make sense.
It has a lot of great stuff, but also a lot of weirdly cringe, cliche, groan worthy stuff.
Worth watching IMO, but depending on your tastes I can see people easily falling one way or the other.
Some of the "comedy" stuff did feel a bit out of place. I guess that the premise is supposed to be fairly absurdist such that the audience probably isn't supposed to be taking everything super serious, but it felt weird that they'd seemingly treat so much of the horror/murder stuff seriously, before immediately jumping to a "lol haha light hearted family moment" thing.
"Oh FUCK we were nearly brutally murdered by insane doppelgangers ... haha i have the highest kill count."
"oh FUCK this TV announcement about how all this is happening all over the country is fucked ... lol the teenager's dead body was on the coffee table between us this whole time lmao"
People here wont like it because it was made by black person and has black people in it and millenials cant look passed their own politics and enjoy something for what it is. I havent seen it because horrors is the worst genre after musicals lol.
tim heidecker is in it and he got sam hyde cancelled so i can't enjoy it and im not joking but i also thought the whole cloning plot twist was pretty fucking stupid
For a lot of horror movies that sort of comedy can work great to make it feel like more of a thrill ride than something psychologically disturbing, like a Freddy Krueger or Child's Play type movie. Lets you get the excitement of the horror but then add in the punch line to make it more fun than horrifying.
Junji Ito is a good example of horror done right, being able to do the usual stories playing on particular fears and body horror, but also getting that you don't have to change the pacing or imagery to turn that same horror style into a comedy like with She Is A Slow Walker.
Let the poor fuck believe his own shitty explanation dude it's the only thing he's got left, his shit assumptions.
I don't disagree with the idea, but I think it depends on the tone of the rest of the movie. You go into the Freddy movies or Child's Play knowing that they're not supposed to have a super serious tone, you know that they're popcorn flicks that lean towards tongue in cheek. Us didn't feel like it was trying to be like that as much ... it certainly had the lighter hearted jokey moments, but the "serious" horror stuff felt like it was supposed to be taken "seriously". Except for the parts where they decided it wasn't?
It might just be a problem with my own perception of the movie, but this part of the tone just felt a little all over the place, as opposed to being more of the "thrill ride" you described. I still enjoyed the movie though, so it certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me.

fuck you stupid piece of dog shit asshole
i gave legitimate reasons to why it suck
fuck you braindead shitface
Maybe i was wrong about you but most people here wont like a movie because of muh niggers.
The writing was shockingly bad considering how good Get Out was. The only parts that weren't well written were derivative.
I still thinking Jordan is insanely talented and can't wait to see what he does next. Also super underrated as an actor, I'd love to see him do drama.
its just bad, really bad writing, bad ending, bad twist
Yea Forums shits on a lot of white directors too, if jj Abrams or Joss Whedon made it, it would get shit on as well
Trash
Did you watch the movie? Obviously the one real girl among the clones went out and got all that shit. Now one can wonder how the tethering work, there's a lot of questions but I don't see how it affects the quality of the movie, it does not owe the viewer any elaboration. They never really established any rules, it is vague and you might critique it on that, however I don't see the point. Nitpicking things that never explicitly establish things is just a fast road to being unable to enjoy anything.
I presume he browses Yea Forums
>Obviously the one real girl among the clones went out and got all that shit
one girl got thousands of jumpsuits and scissors
fuck you. fuck you. FUCK YOU
everything about the tethering could have been explained by making it paranormal or another dimension or alien tests,
but this retarded wanted it to be like GOVERNMENT BAD!
stupid fucking asshole. fuck him and fuck you
why?
>one girl got thousands of jumpsuits and scissors
>fuck you. fuck you. FUCK YOU
Well she had a shit load of time and scissors and jumpsuit ain't exactly illegal or expensive. What about it?
i watched it while high on acid and had no ideas what the fuck was going on and the ending was retarded
His hokey writing and attempt to throw in comedy inappropriately, it's almost a rewrite bad movies thread.
it ruins the reality of the story
this cunt cant even speak or have any money.
the movie's problems could easily be fixed by making it aliens or a alternate dimension
jordan peele cared more about gOVERNMENT IS EVIL than to make a good movie
>it ruins the reality of the story
>this cunt cant even speak or have any money.
Mute people and poor people get hold of much more complicated and difficult things than that all the time. Not really a problem at all.
are you trolling or are you black?
Neither, I'm just stating solutions to imagined problems.
>I mean there is just a different sound to when a black person or asian talks, not in a bad way but it's there
user have you ever watched a Lupita interview? Not every black person speaks in Ebonics.
Kino
Only racists say otherwise
but have you ever seen lupita speak with another black?
Yes. The same.
This and Quiet place made no fucking sense. How are these absolutely brainless trash movies rated so high?
>speaking and acting like a stereotypical white family
I witnessed that back in the 1980s. Society was pretty comfy.
