>some assholes saying scripted jokes that usually aren't funny while a movie plays
I'll never understand the appeal of MST3k

Eegah
youtube.com/watch?v=LuS_TZ3FF38

Know him? HE WAS DELICIOUS!

Attached: final-sacrifice-varmints.jpg (480x360, 9K)

i've only seen about half a dozen episodes but I really liked San Francisco International

Time Chasers.
And why is it that zoomer faggot will watch some other faggot make scream noises while playing Fortnite but won't watch MST3Kino?

If I could only pick one, it would probably be Prince of Space.

Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Boggy Creek II, Time Chasers and Final Justice round out my top 5.

Attached: 1549849973948.jpg (600x600, 36K)

I'm a 22 year old zoomer and I hate youtubers

>Overdrawn at the Memory Bank
MY NUTS!

>this person doesn't like mst3k, therefore they like Fortnite streamers
great logic there

Too many Sci Fi era. You need more I Accuse My Parents, Gamera, Angel's Revenge and Amazing Colossal Man.

/thread
>I wonder if there's beer on the sun

I loved Joel, but the SciFi era is peak Mike, who is clearly the best.

Patrician tastes, my friend.

Attached: Rowsdower.jpg (600x458, 49K)

Prove him wrong.

Probably because you're a sad fuck with no sense of humor, or something. Sorry bud, we'll just be over here enjoying neat shit while you keep ignoring the topic of the threads you post in because its more important everyone knows you're a huge wet blanket

Danger! Death Ray
Best short: Young Man's Fancy

Attached: 1527723196094.png (255x204, 50K)

what a fag

Mike/Kevin/Trace > Joel/Kevin/Trace > Mike/Kevin/Bill > Joel/Josh/Trace

For my money (i'm neet), it's Pod People

Acceptable though Corbett was clearly the better Crow

I'm not saying you shouldn't enjoy it, I'm just saying I don't get it

Zoomers barely watch TV, let alone a 20+ year old show about 30+ year old movies.
But the concept is still the same. It's content being riffed on while it's being viewed.

Jack Frost is pure kino.

Werewolf. Definitely Werewolf.

Mike or Joel? They're both great and each had their own strengths and weaknesses and all, but which is your favorite? Joel for me.

Mike > Joel
Corbett Crow > Trace Crow
Dr. Forrester & TV's Frank > Pearl, Bobo, Brain Guy
SciFi SOL Set > Comedy Central SOL Set
SciFi sketches and bits > Invention Exchange and Letter Reading
Mike's brother Eddie > Mike

Nice opinions, but Mike is best.

Attached: zootopia bunny.jpg (1365x1707, 572K)

Actually me. Though I like Trace's crow, too.

Attached: 1341021674901.jpg (686x934, 257K)

I find the lack of Space Mutiny disappointing.

We're the only two people left in the universe, aren't we?

>I like Trace's crow, too.
Me too. But his voice was a little whiny and Corbett brought some real sarcasm to Crow. Both are great though. There isn't a single element to either the Mike or Joel era that I dislike.

I'M Dr. TED NELSON.. DAMN IT

>There isn't a single element to either the Mike or Joel era that I dislike
Not one?

Attached: Pearl.jpg (300x439, 23K)

I liked Pearl. Her, Bobo and Brain Guy were a fun trio.

>2019
>watching any host segments

Attached: Kevin.jpg (474x634, 58K)

Do you think most jokes aren't scripted? Like it's a stand up routine is just ad libbed on the spot? What kind of faggot ass false criticism is this? You don't like things that are crafted and planned and thought of ahead of time? What kind of smoothbrained regal take is this shit?

The problem is that they're delivered terribly. They sound scripted and inorganic

Are you fucking retarded? The host segments are filled with some great bits, song parodies, and sketches that reflect the movie.
Are you some faggot that didn't enjoy Tom being shrunk down to nanite size to bully the nanites, only to be made a little too small and they end up kicking his ass?

Hobgoblins
Painted Hills
Final Sacrifice
Space Mutiny
Pod People
Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders
Mitchell
Teenage Strangler
Zombie Nightmare
Werewolf
Puma Man
Boggy Creek II

Bitch, please.
youtube.com/watch?v=7pGZbfNADNs&t=5s

You couldn't be more wrong you zoomer faggot. They take movies that are unwatchable and turn them into comedy gold.

Hey Mike ask me if I'm a Valerian. Space Mutiny was the funniest damn episode.

Attached: 31006c51a2228dfbf1820b83ab5cb2e5.jpg (480x360, 26K)

>Valerian
It's BAlerian.
And ultimately, Crow wasn't sure, but then he finally wasn't.

That's another thing. They do it to a lot of low budget b movies from the 50s to 70s, which are films that have a lot of heart and are entertaining to watch. I get doing something like that to a truly unwatchable movie like Jack and Jill or the remake of Ghostbusters, but I'd rather watch my public domain 50s sci fi kino without a bunch of assholes telling shitty jokes

Rewording your original statement is not an argument. Smooth brained regal.

I don't think this is true. I can see how you get there with Joel (who I am partial to) because he is so soft spoken he sometimes delivers a joke sounding like he's about to cry, but Mike and the Bots are convincing

I hated the host segments as a teenager, now I treasure them.

Overdrawn might be the best episode. I feel like Devil Fish gets overlooked a lot though.

Attached: vlcsnap-2019-09-23-23h17m47s638.png (720x480, 253K)

>They do it to a lot of low budget b movies from the 50s to 70s, which are films that have a lot of heart and are entertaining to watch.
Those films are few and far between. Most of the films they riff are on real grade F garbage. And you can still watch the non-MST3K versions of all these films.
>but I'd rather watch my public domain 50s sci fi kino without a bunch of assholes telling shitty jokes
Then do that, who's stopping you.
But I can't think of one movie where the MST3K version was inferior to the non-MST3K version.

It's actually an okay film, just had shitty dubbing

Yeah, Ed Wood made pure unadulterated kino that wasn't confusing at all. Bert I. Gordon wasn't the king of trash drive in distribution. And most of the other direct to TV trash and Italian funded money laundering wasn't scrubbed clean of any incriminating production company. They are shitty movies that are neigh unwatchable and they add value and in some cases make the companies money off of distributing these stinkers all over again.

Time of the apes. I wouldn't say its objectively the best, but its the best one for me.
When I need to code under pressure or have work I need to complete, I put it on in the back ground. Soothing...

Attached: time of the apes.jpg (621x468, 292K)

I wouldn't say it is the best, but The Giant Gila Monster sticks with me for being particularly funny.

Sandy Frank imports were always kino.

The only movies that I can think off of the top of my head that I would watch without MST3K are Space Mutiny, because it's batshit insane, and Bride of the Atom because I like Ed Wood films. Everything else would be tough to get through without Mike/Joel and the bots.

Mitchell is the best

The Legend of Boggy Creek II
The Beast of Yucca Flats
Devil Doll
Monster A Go Go
The Dead Talk Back
The Final Sacrifice

I still can't believe the final ep was the very forgettable Danger Diabolik when it should have been Plan 9 From Outer Space or Troll 2.

>sing whenever I sing

Space Mutiny has the most jokes that still deliver all day everyday, Final Sacrifice is a close second.

Final Sacrifice all day every day. But I cried with laughter during Squirm as well.

Attached: squirm-vintage-movie-poster-original-subway-1-sheet-29x45-7807.jpg (2655x3839, 1.24M)

Mitchell
Space Mutiny
Overdrawn at the Memory Bank

Italians pretending to be Floridians is hilarious

The movie

ROLL FIZZLEBEEF

There are a few.
San Francisco international
kitten with a whip
diabolik(if you liked the source material)
The Rebel Set with "Chief" from Get Smart and the singing hot rodder from giant gila monster.
The Horrors of Spider Island is pure 50s TnA exploitation.
I'm sure there's some more depending on how low your bar for entertainment is.

youtube.com/watch?v=moPB92lu3fQ&feature=youtu.be&t=279

You'd love the last shark from Riff Trax then.

No one asked for your opinion, though. The topic of the thread is what episode you liked best, you autistic goober.

>tfw you sneak Space Mutiny references into your online marketing

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-09-23 at 11.45.13 PM.png (1234x1538, 908K)

I am surprised this has not been rebooted and marketed heavily.

Space Mutiny has the best individual running gag but I wouldn't call it the best episode.

His in theater stuff was definitely the best, but Joel's skits are what made me love him.

Forrester and Frank over that ugly fat cunt is no contest. Come to think of it that might actually be why I like Joel more.

user, I...

I hate the fugly red head and Fatton Asswalt, but I almost like the netflix revival. Pity they didn't just make up new bots, would have been way better than wrong sounding puppets.

That's clever.

>Joe Don Baker is Joe Don Baker as Joe Don Baker in Joe Don Baker: The Joe Don Baker story starring Joe Don Baker

joel wanted to make them his again sad really

I really appreciate Overdrawn at the Memory Bank. Poor Raul Julia.
>he went to the syntho flavo door
>to wendys!

youtube.com/watch?v=U1_ZEL0ehkE
Literally you

My theory is he wa forced to do community service for drunk driving and this is what he offered to donate his time to.

Favorite mike-space mutiny
Best line-“I don’t think we are all on agreement here” mike “I disagree”
Favorite joel- warrior of the lost world
Best line-“jimmy carter in missing in action!”

I don’t think the New MST3k isn’t that bad, but strongest episode seems to be wizards of the lost kingdom in my opinion

All of the running gags in Space Mutiny were glorious, but that film is eye gougingly bad.

>I disagree!
Avalanche was my favorite for some reason.

The incredible strange creatures etc..
You really have to be on acid to understand what the hell is going on.
>hot dogs, fresh roasted peanuts!
>I see that feelthy pig futures are down!
>we hope you enjoyed no moral theater!

Star crash was solid too

I think this is true

Solid, top five. But Soultaker is number 1

“He’s like a catcher’s mitt with eyes!”

Fuck best episode, what's the best short?
And why is it Junior Rodeo Daredevils?

Then he should have coerced those clowns to come back for another season or two. I don't hate Jonah, but the guys voicing the bots are insufferable. Between them and that disgusting redhead shitting out her lines It's hard to watch a full episode.

It works because the jokes works the whole episode without getting old.

your list is pretty close to mine but I'd add Godzilla vs. Megalon.

HE JOCK IT MADE OF STEEL
EATS SUSHI FROM A PAIL
JET JAGUAR? JET JAGUAR!
HE MOTHER NEVER REALLY LOVE HIM
HE CRIMEFIGHTING COVERS UP A BASIC INSECURITY
HE DICKEY COVERS UP AN ADAMS APPLE THE SIZE OF A TOYOTA
HE BASICALLY GOOD-HEARTED BUT HE'D LIKE TO SMASH THAT KID AGAINST A ROCK
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

HE'S IN THE POOR HOUSE WHERE I REPLACED HIM JUST LIKE IM GONNA REPLACE YOU IF YOU DONT SHUT UP

What a song.
And we can all sing along!

that was my first episode.
was hoping to catch some Kids in the Hall on Comedy Central when I noticed they were showing Godzilla and i was like...wtf is this?
then the guys started doing their thing and I was hooked.

I used to watch it every night at midnight for an hour then go to bed with the vcr recording then watch the next half as I was getting ready for school. I got most of my friends hooked on it and we'd talk about the previous night episode between classes

I still have hundreds of CD's worth of episodes I got from Kazaa

No, he was heroic.
He wanted to be a serious actor (he is praised for some of his earlier stuff, he did a dramatization of Camus' The Plague).
Then he was diagnosed with late stage cancer and given not much time to live.
He took every role that came his way so his kids would have money. This is how he got to be in Street Fighter.

>KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

Catalina Caper.

First time I saw vs Megalon was the MST3K version
Still havent seen the original lol

space mutiny
hobgoblins
chicken of tomorrow
gumby
uncle jims dairy farm

Pod People.

Italian logic and a potato!

Manos the Hands of Fate

I'm like that with a lot of movies they did.

I have yet to see the reboot because I cannot stand the people involved and I can tell It would just piss me off

Attached: santa-mediuma.png (825x464, 148K)

Didn't Manos and Santa Claus vs the Martians come in a box set from Rhino?
I seem to remember I owned it at one point.

Chief?

McCloud?

Based episode also references A Woman Under the Influence in one of the riffs
>See, ya gotta tell her every day that you love her...

not sure
I only bought a few sets because I have almost all of them burned on CD
you can find a handful on youtube too
gotta keep circulating the tapes

Devil Fish was kino

Sup Justin?

warms my cold and jaded heart knowing that people still care about a show I was addicted to almost 30 years ago

rifftrax is pretty good and is the only way I can watch some movies like Twilight etc.

NOOOO BRADDU PITTU

My favorite is probably Bride of the Monster.
My favorite Joel episode is Time of the Apes.

>Mike's brother Eddie > Mike
Eh-heh, sure thing Eddie!

One of my few good memories of time with my dad is staying up late and watching MST3K with him so I'll always enjoy it for the nostalgia

Someone help me. I remember a scene of a guy driving away from an air strip of some kind of open space and they yell "Weenie man away!" I watched it as a kid and only remember that part

It's from the movie.

I'm here for you, user.

Attached: mst3k7.jpg (1170x780, 115K)

I actually don't believe I have seen the movie since then. Thank you very much boys

She's got an armadillo down her trousers!

I have a pretty big soft spot for Pod People. My cousin had a VHS of it that she kept at our grandma's house and me, her, and my brother would watch that every time we were over there for Sunday dinner. We pretty much memorized all the lines and jokes and even laughed at the references that went over our heads as kids because it had become an in-joke with us.

Pretty good memories.

Attached: image.jpg (292x220, 19K)

we must confound Gerry at every turn!

kino

the first and only woman that ever mentioned this show to me favorite episode was Pod people.

she had quite the nice potato if you know what I mean

Based idiot control now.

Pod people

For years and years I could have sworn they did an episode watching an anime movie. I have searched far and wide but it seems it never existed.

Such cringe.
She was a good writer though

You're probably thinking of Ultracity 6060

Joel revival sux.
RiffTrax is the kino modern mst3k with the same voices too

What was the movie they actually at one point stood up and walked out on? Spacemen Beyond Pluto? I remember it sticking out how a movie could be so bad even they walked out on it.

>This is the house of a million foyers
>it has nothing to do with pods, it has nothing to do with people, it has everything to do with hurting

During Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, there's a kid in the movie watching anime, I think its the Ultraman anime or Voltron.
youtu.be/p8Q-RuAx4V4
1:20:13 in the video

I love Boggy Creek II. They seem to play it a lot on the Pluto channel. "Can I borrow a cup of shirt?"

What did you expect? It was a fun amateur show made by some funny friends in the middle of Minnesota. It didn't get pozzed by hollywood until the remake.

I haven’t seen the reboot. Is it even out yet? What was wrong with it?

I like the one with a world without springs

>felicia day
>patton oswalt
yikes. the reboot hired a lot of murderers.

they always make me wish I had friends

Mitchell
Mr B Natural

Not the objective best, I'm aware, but Beginning of the End is my favorite.

>Hey general, where you goin? Decatur, I'm gonna shoot that paper-hangin sonofabitch

Giant Spider Invasion had my favorite run on gag.
>Packers won the Superbowl!
youtube.com/watch?v=0iqLhdInGrk

I never watched a lot of episodes, the only way I could was to order individual ones on bus from rhino. But my personal picks are
>The Wild Wild World of Batwoman
>Mitchell
>Catalina Caper
>Red Zone Cuba
>Teenage Strangler

Who did Felicia Day kill? Was it her dad? Is that why Joe doesn't show up in those cigarette ads anymore?

It's okay, the problem is that the new robots sound the same as the host, and there's actually too many jokes. You can't hear any parts of the actual movie because they're constantly riffing and they should cut like 30% of the jokes

ah, so there are too many jokes!

subtlety is dead in our age.
