Is he the most complex villain of the decade?

That's not Bane

>complex
>purple guy who wants more power

No, but ironically his movie version is actually more complex than his comic version which is literally just "man I wanna bone the skelly woman".

I mean his philosophy about balance and how hurt he felt about killing his child, and how he genuinely felt for the dead

He wasn't even as good as he was in the comics lol

The girl in Gone Girl was really well written.

Christ, you're a retard. His motivation in the comics not only makes more sense, it's way, way darker and better thought out. Yes, he's infatuated with the personification Death itself, who's sometimes a female Grim Reaper and sometimes a hot chick in a purple robe. But the reason for him killing half the universe is because he thinks it *might* please her, and it's only the tip of the iceberg. His vision of the future includes "death factories" where life is birthed into existence just to immediately die as well as annual tributes to Death, mass sacrifices that never end. And keep in mind, he's doing this on more or less a whim, essentially saying, "Eh, it's worth a shot, and it's not like anyone can stop me."

Compared to the comics, movie Thanos is a short-sighted, one-dimensional retard who can't even into logistical growth curves. Now I wish for this thread what comics Thanos would - death.

>kills half of endangered species populations so they fully die off
>destroys ovenmitt so large populations can't be culled later when needed to sustain resources
He's not deep, only retarded

NERD
LOOK AT THIS NERD LOL

>power

god dude shut the fuck up

this board is fucking retarded. Someone makes a half decent post and you just act like 10 year olds

I wanna smack on the head you dumbass

>t. babby's first noir

>literally destroys the stones
Nice film analysis brainlet

Idiot
Death factories is literally the edgiest thing I have ever heard
Are you retarded
Do you actually think that is genuinely dark and complex in any way
Does mommy keep you from reading real books

>Gamora, my beautiful daughter... it pains me so much to lose you...
>But not my other children who I arbitrarily don't like as much.

If you can’t just take a fucking bullet

How else are you supposed to woo Death, user? Life factories?

If they wanted the shock of killing him off early in Endgame they needed to fucking commit to it. Having him die and then replaced by another timeline version who doesn't even know most of the main characters or why they're against him was stupid.

Nice samefaggotry normie. Also Gamera was apparently the strongest

for cape maybe

lmao its Yea Forums they are here for the trap porn, they dont care about movies

Well I wouldn't try to woo a dentist with teeth factories

Yeah, it's the "normies" that actually know the lore, right faggot? Go be retarded and wrong where you came from.

Only faggot teenagers think of shit in terms of "edgy." Show me a non-edgy tribute to a death god if you're so fucking smart.

Killing half the universe because you're too stupid to math is not only "edgy," it's pants-on-head retarded.

Trying to woo death is retarded

Just look at all the butthurt bugmen defending "product" here. Your Big Bad was just King Retard - no depth, no complexity, because you actually need a character written with some intelligence and thought before you get such a character. When your villainous "master plan" is to put a two-generation bandaid on a trillion-year problem, then destroy the bandaid-maker, your character doesn't qualify as intelligently written. In fact, I'd barely call that written at all.

He was a kino villain, until part 2 happened

Not as retarded as the movie character, though.

There's nothing complex about him. He simply wanted to save the universe from what happened to his home planet due to overpopulation.

Sure it wasn't very well thoughtout as you had people like the Asgardians, who had just suffered some deaths at the hands of Hela, only to run into Thanos and have him kill 50% of them, only to have him snap his fingers and kill another 50%.

>kills half of the living things in the universe
>half of the 80 million strains of bacteria that keep your skin and stomach working vanish
>everybody dies bleeding from their pores and shitting violently
i'd actually watch that cape shit

I can digest a character being retarded over a retarded concept

>I can buy a retard who's a genius until he needs to be retarded

Movie Thanos didn't have a bad motivation because the movie actually justified what he preached, as Thanos' world died and Gamera's world was better off from the culling, at least that's what he says. He was overkill with the Asgardians but still.

He's not even the most complex superhero villain of the decade

No, regardless of what happened on his own planet, his "solution" is just laughably stupid. For starters, it holds that the circumstances his own people suffered are universal, that all life everywhere will all be equally unsuited and incapable of solving its own problems. Secondly, it's not even close to a permanent fix. It's something reversible in a single human lifespan. Thirdly, unless he telepathically made everyone everywhere aware of what happened and why, it's not even a workable deterrent. And lastly, if he's supposed to be both A)intelligent and B) compassionately thinking of the greater good, how do you square that with a plan so stupid, callous, and short-sighted that even a dullard can spot its flaws in seconds? Absolute power literally in his grasp and this is the best he can come up with? How about fertility rates that respond to population pressure? How about hooking everyone up with that sweet, sweet space travel that lets the GotG and Captain Marvel all over the galaxy in hours? How about shrinking all life to a fraction of its current size? How about "borrowing" infinite resources from the infinite past? That's what the Avengers did - consequence-free. Pic-related is the formula for infinite Pym canisters, assuming you started with a total of five.

He might be, but that's more of an indictment of cinema in the last decade than him being anything worth praising.

Their "POV" was to not have one, hence all the lack of actual rebuttals. In essence:

>PRODUCT GOOD
