Both Jay and Rich were reserved in their opinion of TFA and mostly agreed that it was a good starting place for a new trilogy and compared it to Star Trek (2009) in that respect. Mike clearly got caught up in the buzz of getting a new Star Wars movie that didn't have George Lucas's retarded fingerprints all over it and had an overly positive initial opinion of TFA which clearly subsided in the months following its release, and his opinion was solidified as more negative by the time the Plinkett review came out for it. Shilling what now?

I genuinely don't think this dynamic is showcasing what you think it is. People seem to think that when Jay says he hates the movie, but Mike says he likes it, Jay then changes his mind. I think if Jay or Mike found themselves changing their mind on a dime, they would edit it to make themselves to look better. What I believe is actually happening each time we see this dynamic is this:
