Sony not letting Disney use Spider-Man anymore

>Sony not letting Disney use Spider-Man anymore

>Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 in development hell

Yikes. How fucked are Disney?

There are rumours that Disney will outright buy Spider-Man back but I'm not sure they will pay Sony the insane amount they would ask.

Why is there no outrage that they rehired Gunn?

I don't plan on watching anymore marvel movies now that endgame is finished. Literally nothing to get excited for. I honestly feel bad for disney, they blew their load and now only firing blanks.

Outrage only lasts as long as the money to fund the outrage. Liberals and feminists don't have enough money to keep buying out media to bitch about it.

Has any modern era marvel movie flopped? I don’t think so. Even captain marvel pulled over a billion fucking dollars. Why have they “lost confidence” exactly? I don’t keep up with capeshit gossip.

Marvel has made money hand over fist and marvel fans have shown they will go see pretty much any slop they put out. Disney is fine.

They have thousands of characters to use and they’ve proven over and over they can make a hit out of anything, doesn’t need to be something already famous.

We're never getting a Moon Knight movie are we?

>outrage over a pedophile
Pedophilia is Hollywood approved

>They have thousands of characters to use and they’ve proven over and over they can make a hit out of anything
/thread
All these retards saying “hurr durr they need spider-man” are retarded. They gotten to this point without him and they get further again without him

Apple buys Sony.
Problem solved.

i mean, star wars practically writes itself and they still tanked it. that theme park money loss and the put all their eggs in one basket with spiderman, a character that doesn't belong to them.

i'd say they're pretty fucking vulnerable right now.

>There are rumours that Disney will outright buy Spider-Man
lmao the day sony folds is the day they sell spiderman

>I honestly feel bad for disney
i don't. they want to own everything in the world. they buy a property like deadpool and strangle it because it's not disney approved family entertainment. fuck em

don't forget
>magneto and shadowcat are going to be blackwashed with many additional white characters also threatened to get their race changed as well
>the trilogy will focus on a female wolverine copycat
>disney has come out and said that title "x-men" is outdated and sexist so they will even change that aspect

you are only allowed to be outraged if said person isn't a liberal

>disney has come out and said that title "x-men" is outdated and sexist
awesome.
guess the word 'women' is outdated and sexist too since it has the word 'men' in it.
what are they going to call it? X-ers? X-people? really strikes fear into the hearts of the bad guys i'm sure.

They’ve generally had charismatic guys leading their movies that people would recognize and talk about.

I’ve not seen anyone talk about the black panther lead and his real life. Doubt many even know his name. There’s an element of appeal now lacking with Marvel Movies abandoning male sex appeal and charisma.

X-people
X-irs
X-folk

they're the X Men no matter what disney says.

Problem is their fuckups are entirely of their own making. Literally no one wanted Captain Marvel we got.

>Marvel Comics
>going further down the WOKE drain with very new issue

>Marvel Cinematic Universe
>printing more and more money with each new movie

Who's brilliant idea was it to start mixing the two?

What were they thinking?

it's unironically over for them

>we're disney we're too big to fail

it's funny i never thought i'd see the day disney truly wobbled but here we are.

>Disney lost confidence in Captain Marvel

people actually believing rumor started by blogspam like cosmicbooknews

Because there was nothing to be outraged with in the first place. The jokes he made were super old and meh-tier edgy, and the only people pushing for anyone to be upset didn't actually care about Gunn or his comments in the first place. It was obviously superficial "outrage", so everyone just moved on.

>disney has come out and said that title "x-men" is outdated and sexist so they will even change that aspect
BASED deadpool predicting the X-persons

Phase 4 is intentionally dry to coincide with the Disney+ promo period when subscription costs fuck all to hook everyone in, they'll only pull out the big guns (Mutants, FF, etc) when it's time to double the prices while keeping everyone subscribed. Makes no sense to give your best stuff away for cheap.

they are putting all their chips on the disney + shit

the thing is that disney jumped the gunn and fired him almost immediately and released a statement along the lines of "he/what he did doesn't align with our companies values" and then they do a 180 later basically showing how spinless they are with their decision making

yeah, whats up with that rumor?

the initial firing was what was spineless. rehiring him took guts because of retards like you who think admitting you were wrong is somehow a fault.

his first firing was spineless alright, but after the stand they took and all the press coverage they should have stood their ground. that 180 turn made them look like the fake weasels they trully are

except they never admitted they were wrong. they just hired him without a statement probably because of backlash or because they realised how fucked they were without him. my point is that they fired him because of pressure and even tried to justify it but then they changed their mind probably because of more backlash

"The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James' Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio's values, and we have severed our business relationship with him," this is what disney said when then fired him. they then later rehired him without correcting this statement at all. so what is it disney? are these tweets consistent with your studio's values after all?

>2 minutes screen time in Endgame
>No one (even at Disney) is talking about her
>"Don't invoke her name"
>Not even a mention at comic con
And people still don't believe that Disney inflated her numbers

>Disney will outright buy Spider-Man back
I've read somewhere that it was 7B + 5 movies after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, now after Venom and if Morbius succed it could be 11B

endgame came out 2 months after craptain marvel. reception to that movie had nothing to do with her screentime. the reason why she was barely in it is that endgame was filmed even before CM had it's script finished. they just wanted her in the movie but didn't even know what her story was supposed to be. that is why she has no development in endgame at all except fighting. the inflated numbers are obvious though.

yep. sony has no incentive whatsoever to give away spiderman. it was one of the best investments of all time to buy the rights for pennies back in the 90s

yawn

Dude had pictures with notorious pedophiles

Stupid mousecuck

I never hear anyone talk about Tom Holland IRL and now everyone is saying Disney can’t survive without him.

Marvel was offering 1.5B, Sony wanted 3 and partial ownership, Marvel wouldn't go over 2. But Sony thought a Sinister Six movie could make 2B in a time when the only movies that have ever done so were Avatar and Titanic so we know they're delusional.

>X-folk
I'd be fine with this if they moved the mutant school to Alabama

I see what you did there user

i would agree but he was one of the people who said that roseanne should be fired because of what she said on twitter. him getting fired for the same reason was just pottery

X-vagina

Not as delusional as most mouse fags

because he is left

>How fucked are Disney
How fucked are the SJW mob running the show or the guys with the money?
Both sides will tell you it's fine but both sides have knives pointed at each others throats as well.
Oh you mean for the future mcu?
Yeah they are fucked without spiderman, everyone is fully aware of it.
>So basically, time travel
>Again

Attached: 1426467217270.jpg (600x706, 44K)

to be a fly on the wall at Disney right now

How is MCU fucked without Spiderman? I honestly haven't liked any Spiderman movie since the Raimi ones and he isn't part of phase 4 at all.

>Sony wanted 3
Now it will be 5

It's just delusional Sony shills who think Sony's PG-13 Carnage film will be the second coming of Christ

Sony might be ran by actual retards but 1.5 billion is still nothing for Spiderman.

- Iron Man is dead
. Black Widow is dead, and will be even more so after her PREQUEL movie is done
- Hawkeye will be replaced by female Hawkeye
- Thor will be replaced by female Thor
- Hulk is now useless and will be replaced by female Hulk
- No one cares about Scarlet Witch

The only things they have going are Dr Strange and Black Panther.

>guess the word 'women' is outdated and sexist too since it has the word 'men' in it
Yes. You haven't seen SJWs use the word "womyn" before?

Also, Captain America has been replaced by a guy having a jetpack.

because they plan these movies to be all connected and work off eachother. they were setting phase 4 up with spiderman and they probably have to change entire scripts and plans.

>they were setting phase 4 up with spiderman
No they weren't

Why would people still care about capeshit when shonenshit/anime is slowly becoming mainstream?

Michael B Jordan was that charismatic guy and should have been BP. all along.

>Why is there no outrage that they rehired Gunn?
Um swarthy... Getting a new Marvel movie is more important than worrying about whether or not someone is a pedophile.

Female Thor is my only issue because Jane sucks but everything else I'll wait and see. Also I like SW and looking foward to Wandavision the out of all the shows

They obviously were. He was being set up to be Iron Man's replacement. Disney were using a character they don't own that could be taken away from them to be the new face of the MCU. Fucking morons.

jane was easily one of the worst things about the first 2 thors and it was a great idea to abandon the human characters in ragnarok. i am bewildered that they think she can carry a movie

Like Black Panther and Mutants and FF, they were planned for Phase 5 and beyond, Spider-Man was never supposed to be in Phase 4.

what do you think far from home was trying to do?

Proof?

fuck whoever came up with this graphic

Far From Home was literally about Spider-Man becoming his own hero and dealing with Tony being dead. It was setting him up for Phase 4 as a new Avenger.

Yes he was. Didn't you see the ending Far From Home? His story wasn't over yet. A third movie would be the end of his trilogy.

I just said Spider-Man wasn't supposed to be in *Phase 4* and like the rest of the big names was delayed to Phase 5 and beyond. Pic related was announced in July, and the Sony deal fell through in August.

Attached: 1569244173624.jpg (1200x675, 122K)

>Sony not letting Disney use Spider-Man anymore
Sucks but MCU didn't have Spider-Man for years and did fine. We recently had a Spider-Man movie anyways, so we wouldn't get another for a few years. Who knows, Disney could get him back in that time, but even if they don't, it doesn't matter.
>Disney lost confidence in Captain Marvel
Rumor made up by a Youtuber.
>Ant-Man sequel cancelled
They're looking to make a show. Considering the Ant-Man films weren't huge moneymakers despite being good, it's no big loss to them.
>Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 in development hell
Gunn recently said he's going to do it. Seems like it's moving forward.
>X-Men and Fantastic Four are years away
There's 10 projects officially lined up between 2020 and 2021. Do we really need more?
>Thor probably only has one more appearance in Love and Thunder before they kill him off and replace him with Natalie Portman
It was recently confirmed by Taika Waititi that Thor is the main character and Portman will play a secondary character.

Honestly they could get a decent run of movies out of Dr Strange and Black Panther teaming up to fight Dr Doom

That ending (and the movie in general) was made by Sony. People overestimate Disney's involved in these movies, they're largely relegated to a creative consultant role.

no he’s shady as fuck
hollyweird likes that though
one of “them”

Phase four looks like shit unless they are planning on adding the FF (phase four and fantastic four, the fucking irony) and the X-men to the schedule.

>magneto and shadowcat are going to be blackwashed
>Blackwashing the two jewish characters
Oy vey

Liberal and feminist article writers can barely pay their rent in expensive cities, it's the mouse that bankrolls them

The outrage dried up because Disney needs Gunn to make them more money, simple as that

Attached: Collider-Movie-Talk-09-13-15.jpg (970x545, 379K)

>There are rumours that Disney will outright buy Spider-Man back but I'm not sure they will pay Sony the insane amount they would ask.
Sony asked for 10 billions after the flop of TASM 2, imagine the price after their first billion spiderman

>Ant-Man sequel cancelled
Wait really? Perfect. After kicking Bucky and Wanda to rot on their tv series and now with Ant Man dead the only character a care about is Strange, so i can leave it all behind!

The moment Warner hired him for Suicide Squad 2, Disney realized they should have kept this money making machine. Also Bautista was pretty loud agianst his firing saying he didn't want to play in GoTG 3 wtout Gunn

>"Don't invoke her name"
Explain.

When Fury asked Spider-Man to help him and Mysterio in Far From Home. he said Captain Marvel could help instead and Fury said "Don't invoke her name."

It was just a way to write her out.

Ah ok, haven't watched that movie so i missed this. Still a weird thing to say desu.

It is all Cameron's master plan to get rid off Alita: Angel of Victory's competition.

>There are rumours that Disney will outright buy Spider-Man
they should buy RDJ apparence instead and make him a 3d actor just like in the movie The Congress.

There's a good in-universe explanation for it

The focus character for the new MCU arch after IronMan was supposed to be Spidey. Now they are stuck with second-grade options.

It's because the "Fury" that said that is a Skrull and had no idea how to handle the job.

Captain Marvel is one of the top selling Movies
>Disney does not like her!
>they committed fraud for leftist brownie points by spending millions of their own movie to inflate the numbers!
listening to youtubers insane theories does not mean it is true.

GotG3 is not being made until Suicide Squad 2 is done. Disney fucked up by buckling to internet outrage over edgy jokes.

They are not gonna rush Xmen/FF in to the universe. They are not WB/Universal who just rush to make the movie that is "in universe". Give it a few years for them to work them in.

Losing Spiderman is an issue. They have been setting him up as the next main guy in the movies since he got in. Now it seems like their big plan has be cut short 1/2 movies.

>Captain Marvel is one of the top selling Movies
>>Disney does not like her!
Then where is she here?

Disney admitted to getting RottenTomatoes to censor Captain Marvel's reviews and they admitted to inflating the numbers. They did the same shit by paying for black people to see Black Panther but paid for school girls to see Captain Marvel under the guise of "empowering them"

reddit.com/r/FuckMarvel/comments/b0qddx/rotten_tomatoes_admits_to_tampering_with_site/

X-Y

>Even captain marvel pulled over a billion fucking dollars
Two months before Endgame. A movie about Howard the duck screw-dicking Darkhawk could have made that much money. Same with the first Black Panther.
But there is no more Infinity War tying everything together, making people think that they have to watch all the films anymore. A lot of these smaller movies are toast under that rubric.

She's not in phase 4 because phase 4 is focusing on Disney+ and is only two years long (making it the shortest phase thus far). There's also no Black Panther and no GotG despite those being really popular. Does Disney suddenly hate Black Panther and GotG now, too? Because following your logic, it would appear so. Except Disney has flat out said they're doing movies of all of three of those after phase 4.

They must not like Black Panther and Avengers either with that line of logic. It's definitely not them rebuilding the roaster after end game.

They had never fired him in the first place, they were bring publicly hounded to take action against him while others wanted him to stay so they agreed to "suspend" him, letting him sign onto a DC movie to get the media stirred up and then "rehire" him for the next movie. He was never fired, he knew this and they knew this. It was all for show to make the people who wanted him gone and people who wanted him to stay happy. To the public it looked like Disney had shown a display of power and mercy.

>X-irs

So that's either Xirs ... or ex-IRS, which quite frankly sounds more terrifying.

>"Excuse me, bub. I'm here to use mah mutant power of tax auditing on you."

Scarlet Witch is the main reason people are excited for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.

Based Sony

It was never going to be Spiderman due to him being a Sony property.

Part of the journey is the end.

Attached: Screenshot_11.jpg (797x460, 40K)

They will probably just use X-Force since Deadpool was already building up to it anyway.

Honestly the best way for them to handle the X-Men and FF4 is to have them be from alternate universes, and having a big Secret Wars movie and merging them all in one Earth. That way they can build up standalone X-Men movies, like how most X-Men comics are always self-contained. X-Men rarely ever works in crossovers outside of the occasional Wolverine teamup

X-Force is a better name.

Check the audience reactions when everyone got snapped in Infinity War. When everyone started dying one by one, you hears lots of "Ooh" "Noo" "Shiiit" "Damn" "Oh no no no". But when Scarlet Witch dies you don't hear a single thing. They have to team her up with Dr Strange because she can't carry a movie by herself.

It will probably be just Mutants

Spider-man FFH was disappointing. Only looking forward to GOTG 3 and Doctor Strange 2. After that I have no interest, especially given that they're pushing SJW Feminazi woke bullshit!!!FACT!!!

ant-man is not cancelled

Because as awful as the MCU is, it's league's above most shounenshit

no it isn't. charles xavier aka Professor X wants peace and coexistence with humanity, ergo 'force' is combatitve and implies violence. 'X Men' implies a collective of 'his' people, the mutants. also 'men' meaning 'human' as in recognisably another stage or offshoot of evolution, other but the same. implying it's sexist is dumb and small minded, in conclusion you're a fucking retard and so is disney.

the jokes was sick and fucked up i will never ever support james gunn again he can choke on big fat dick

disney isn't fucked. Have you ever looked at what they own?

Running out of shitty Marvel movies to make doesn't sink a $200bil company. Also good fucking riddance with that bread and circus crap.

Attached: 1c8ace8f-every-company-disney-owns-13_pageversion-lg.jpg (2500x3017, 1.14M)

It is, which isn't surprising since Ant-Man and the Wasp bombed hard

no its not and paul rudd will be at nycc so im pretty sure we will be getting some news

This^

Disney does this all the time. They buy millions of tickets at bulk prices from theaters, then give them away to groups the movie is “supposed to be empowering too” then count those heavily discounted tickets as full ticket sales later to claim that those millions of people bought tickets, when really they saw everything for free.

>121421136
Wasn't that during the period where Sony were giving Disney the cold shoulder?

That's not how companies work, user

hope dr. strange and panther make the 'defenders' to replace the avengers.

She's got the rep of being the only Avenger who beat Thanos 1 on 1.

yikes

Also Captain Marvel 2 isn't confirmed. The only reason the first one made a billion was because it was advertised as being necessary to understand Endgame and because Disney inflated the ticket sales.

Michael Douglas talked about an Ant-Man sequel, Black Panther 2 is confirmed, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is confirmed. Spider-Man is getting another movie whether it's in the MCU or not, fucking Thor is getting a sequel. Guardians are getting a sequel. The only new character who isn't getting one is Captain Marvel :)

Attached: mockup-cd3d6a4d.jpg (600x600, 25K)

It could work well if Marvel generally took the Generation 2 approach like they were doing with Spiderman. Basically a bunch of new heroes having to fill the shoes of the old ones in a post-Unsnap world. Problem is that requires vulnerability and insecurity in your characters and strong chances of failure, which the Girrrl Powah mindset absolutely rejects. Gotta be absolute badasses from Day 1, no time for development. Look how Carol became an unstoppable god in her debut movie.

the guy he was joking around with on facebook got convicted of CP within 3 months of the scandal breaking

they call it weapon x or x-force, despite both organisation being very, very different from the x-men in the comics

>MARVEL STUD-10'S

Didn't they renew thor's contract

>it took Disney less than 5 years to destroy a beloved franchise and alienate the fanbase

fucking hell

It's a single cosmicbooknews article making the rounds of other incelcentric websites. Matt McGloin clickbaiting strikes again.

Yes, for Thor 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

>i'd say they're pretty fucking vulnerable right now.
Nope. Disney overall only makes about 15% of their income from movies, the bulk of their profit comes from the parks, which still rake in a mountain of money overall, despite the flop of Galaxy's Edge, and their profit from the networks they own.
Their biggest problem right now is replacing Iger, and the gamble on Disney+, but they're in no way vulnerable, to anything.

>they just wanted her in the movie but didn't even know what her story was supposed to be
these characters were written like a decade ago

>despite the flop of Galaxy's Edge
yeah that's a billion dollar loss, i'd say that was more than a flop.

I've only ever heard people bring up tom holland when discussing spider-man like "which bond was best" or whatever. If it happens again I'll ask them what other movies holland has been in I bet I will hear crickets.

What about all the merchandise and toys that they are selling?

u stupid fool kevin feige said captain marvel 2 was in development at comic-con

X-myn

damn u one stupid ass motherfucker

I was promised that the future would be female, well now it's the present and it's female, so I guess they were right

Most of that is from the parks, so that's folded into the park and resort profits. Go read their last investor's report. They make a mountain of money, they could sell off Marvel and Lucas tomorrow, and still make money.

FFH kinda felt like they were though what with tony passing his crown and using the "great responsibility" line except it might have just been their way of cutting uncle ben out entirely

Oh you.jpg

To be honest, buying tickets to keep stocks up is a way more plausible explanation than buying tickets to appease women and minorities (lol)

>Sony not letting Disney use Spider-Man anymore
There's a rumor that Apple will buy Sony Pictures, with an additional rumor that Apple will either sell back the rights or it will revert back anyway due to the original contract with Sony and Marvel Enterprises

That's incredible how all this shit works. It really does sound like Disney will get Spidey back one way or another. Shit is just going down behind the scenes.

Attached: 1556761146955.jpg (1013x797, 185K)

lol'd. Why would apple sell Spiderman? The rights must be worth at least 5 billion

If Sony sells the movie division to anyone, the rights to Spider-Man automatically revert to Marvel, it was part of the original deal

Captain America wasn't that popular, especially outside of the United States. Black Panther is a more popular character than Spider Man and Iron Man. Captain Marvel is also incredibly popular.
They're making Disney+ shows to help grow that platform. They're still making movies at the same rate as before (before they made two to three movies every year, and phase 4 is five movies in two years, or in other words, two to three movies every year).
I don't get what you think Suicide Squad has any bearing on Guardians of the Galaxy. Are they in a race to make a third film in your imagination or something?
Half the projects are movies. The other half aren't. That's not "most of them not even being movies."
Hemsworth certainly could be replaced. His character could die. Or they could clone him and now we have two. Or they could have him decide to be a full-time member of Guardians so he can be in the third one. That's the magic of movie, and you can speculate endlessly. Does it matter? Fact is, though, he's the star of Thor 4.

Well then they just will buy the Sony Picture™. There must be hundreds of loop holes. You think Apple or anyone else would really leave so billions on the table?

>Black Panther is a more popular character than Spider Man

Attached: 1424136465725.jpg (487x457, 35K)

Where's the lie?

you posted it.

Thank you Korg.

I'm skeptical of the Apple/Sony rumors, a licensing deal is more likely, for Apple TV, they need something to compete with, but I just don't see Sony selling off their movie division.
Apple has been sitting on a lot of cash, and has been for a long time, and people like to spend it for them all the time. It's easy to say "Apple should just buy [corporation]", but it's not that simple, especially if the other entity doesn't want to sell. The only way Apple could force Sony to sell is to take over the parent company, and Sony is a multi-trillion dollar company. Plus, Apple has no experience making content, or running content companies. They know distributing, from iTunes.
Never say never, but I'm skeptical on this one. Licencing deal? Yes. Purchase? Don't believe it.

>>Disney lost confidence in Captain Marvel
but a billion people saw it in the theaters, right?
how did they lose confidence in it?

I didn't lie. I'm a good boy.

you're wrong and you're not a good boy. go sit on the stairs.

Because a youtuber said so and clickbait websites quoted him, so it must be true!

There never was a plan past endgame. It's all incoherent fumbling around from here on out.

No and no and no thanks.

No, anyone looking to buy Sony Pictures just has to be aware they're not getting the Spider-Man IP with it and negotiate accordingly

How would you know that? From clickbait articles?
No one knows what's written in the contract and how it could be spinned by a team of world class lawyers.

>To be honest, buying tickets to keep stocks up is a way more plausible explanation than buying tickets to appease women and minorities (lol)

The women and minorities thing is just a PR move, it's a way to create artificial demand by implying that those women, little girls, and black people desperately WANT to see the movie and they totally WOULD if they could just AFFORD it. But the truth is, it's not the case, and those kids and black people are literally indifferent, and just being offered a free outing so they don't give a shit. The result is free publicity, free goodwill and social-virture-good-boy points for Disney, and they get to buy a few thousand more tickets for their movie to report to investors.

But when it came to Captain Marvel, there was objective proof that they were just funneling part of the marketing budget (which is hundreds of millions, by the way) to just buy up tickets for movie showings in all kinds of theaters, so that they looked sold out and theaters reported them as sold, but no one was there to watch it.

It looks good on the reports when you can see hundreds of thousands more tickets sold, and technically they get half the money back anyway since theaters give about half of every ticket sale to the publisher, so they lose a little bit but that would only show up if someone did a deep dive into their books and audited them. To investors and shareholders, it looks like the movie boomed and everyone is excited about the property for a little while.

The problem is, much like Nu-Wars, Disney can't move blu-rays or merch for these characters long-term and can't keep them profitable while they figure out their next movies.

I'd settle for any kind of signal that Sony is looking to sell, period. I see nothing that indicates that.

You forget Black Panther 2

Its gonna be the best movie fucking ever.

>I'd settle for any kind of signal that Sony is looking to sell, period.

Why are people so desperate to watch big media conglomerates be absorbed by even bigger media conglomerates just so they can get more bad CGI movies every year?

What other sources are there? At least this piece of info is two decades old

Yeah, it doesn't seem likely, but what Sony Pictures presents might be different from what Sony has in mind for the division

It would be kinda funny if the What If... series really was just them going full shitshow and every episode is "SO WHAT IF IRON MAN WAS TRANS?"

>never hear anyone talk about Tom Holland IRL
How old and detached from society are you?

What if Elsa had a baby with Spider-Man

>Black Panther is a more popular character than Spider Man and Iron Man.

This is an insanely stupid thing to believe.

Prove it wrong.

t. manchild or a 12yo

>magneto and shadowcat are going to be blackwashed with many additional white characters also threatened to get their race changed as well
I ve seen black nerds raging about this as well. They want original black characters not some white washing of characters they also love the way they are.

Theatrical releases will be full force social engineering while tv-shows on disney+ will at least please the fan-boys.

it's been proved consistently since the 1960's. what rock are you living under?

and she did the holdo maneuver to save the day

If Sony didn't sell after the Pascal era, they're not selling now. Sony is a long term thinking company, they don't just sell off divisions on a whim. They made a huge investment buying Paramount and the other IPs and content libraries, and Spiderman is a small part of that. Now that Spiderman is viable again, why would they just sell it off? Makes no sense.
Again - people LOVE spending Apple's money. Doesn't mean it's credible.

>They made a huge investment buying Paramount and the other IPs and content libraries
they did no such thing

Columbia, I made a mistake, don't even think about reeeing at me. Get the fuck over it. Take your hands off your keyboard.

>Black Panther is a more popular character than Spider Man and Iron Man
He's really not. At most he's on par with them. The blacks in my theater were hype when BP got revived but they were just as excited and happy when Spiderman appeared too

How are the toy sales for BP? Last time I checked Spider-Man toy sales are still through the roof.

Disney took star wars for granted, now they have the corpse of the biggest franchise known to man and cant make a profit from it

>post proof
>"no"
Then you're just full of shit.

alright man your dumb opinion is right and the facts are wrong, you win.

What was my opinion? You said something you couldn't prove and I called you out on it. That's not an opinion. That's me being right and you being full of shit. Next time you want to post, stop. Don't.

Wew. I was excited for a second somebody might do better with Star Trek. All well.

it's not my fault you're a fucking retard is it?

Not him, but I'd also like to see the numbers on Black Panther IP being more popular. Interesting if true.

it's not true. it's the equivalent of saying frankie and benny's is more popular than mcdonalds
>prove it
there is so much basic, common knowledge proof i wouldn't know where to begin.

It’s getting a show on Disney+.

And they bought with stock.

And now they're being investigated for inflating their revenues...which means inflated stock prices.

MCU ended with Infinity War
Why you niggas feel the need to go through the pain of another 20 bland flicks again just to get an underdeveloped and quipping Doom or Galactus?

How many video games has Black Panther been in compared to Spider-Man again?

And how many Japanese sentai versions does Black Panther have?

If I was Sony, I'd never sell Spiderman. They can commit to the previous deal and give a share of the merch profits if they want MY Spiderman to make Captain Marvel of all things likeable.

Spider-Man has been Marvel’s most popular character consistently since his creation. It’s not even a contest. Other heroes just have more exposure now because of the MCU.

I want to see a “Who Killed Captain Alex” style Black Panther movie now.

Who should play Wolverine?

better than nothing I suppose. There isn't any possible way they could mess with Moon Knight and fuck it up right?

They don't own Spider-man forever.

a short burly hairy dude. they have to go full comic book logan there is no way people would take to some pretender trying to be hugh jackman's wolverine.

Scott Caan?

too old they need some longevity out of the character

>Disney buying Spider-Man
Sony first bought the rights for 10 million
There's no amount of money they could sell Spider-Man for that would equal the amount of money that's given them the past 20 years (and anyone would be crazy to even pay that price)

This. They want to replace all the guys with girls but are shit at writing them because they always make them powerfantasy wankjobs. Nebula and Gomorrah from GotG are the only two female Marvel characters I genuinely enjoy

I was actually kidding. But I appreciate the earnest answer. Who's your pick?

They even tried to replace Spider-Man with Iron Man as their comics "mascot" but then Bendis somehow sabotaged his own fucking plan

i dunno to be honest but it would be all about the physicality, and being gruff so he wouldn't need to be a particularly great actor in the sense of delivering speeches or carrying a film. i feel for the guy who takes it on, hugh jackman set a very high bar.

So they'll probably go with a young-ish unknown. (If they ever get around to using the properties they paid out the ass for.)

Spiderman is unquestionably more globally popular, it's not even debatable.

Your opinion was Black panther is more popular. You didn't prove it and you can;t. People rightly called you insane, simply given the popularity of comics, video games, TV shows, and toys across the planet. It's not even close. Even in other countries they try to make their own Spiderman movies, literally nobody is trying to get into Black panther.

How is Spider-Man going to leave the MCU after the massive twist at the end of Far From Home? Do they just never mention Mysterio, Happy, Iron Man and the Avengers again? This is going to be a disaster.

Tencent buys Disney. Screenshot this.

>No one cares about Scarlet Witch
This is absolutely wrong.

>Billion doller baby
>disney cancel her
its almost like it was all made up

we knew marvel would take a tumble after captain america and iron man are out. but i doubt its gonna flop. my guess is they no longer make billon dollar movies.

I know, isn't it great? I really hope Disney completely fails and either disappears or just goes through a rough patch. They've always made their best work when they were at their lowest.

this

Well Apple couldn't buy all of Sony due to Japanese laws.

>X-Men
Sweetie, it's X-People now.

Attached: Victoria_Alonso.jpg (400x600, 58K)

But how could they backwash Magneto when both Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver were white

This. When Aquaman earned more than a billion dollars it got a sequel and spinoff movie. Captain Marvel earned more than a billion dollars, Disney suddenly loses confidence? Doesn't sound fishy right? Right?

You do realize Disney paid for girls and women to see Captain Marvel? They admitted to buying tickets and Rotten Tomatoes admitted to meddling with the ratings.

It was also advertised as being necessary to understand Endgame.

No you dumbass, it's because "Fury" was Talos, who worships CM because she rescued the skrulls in her garbage movie.

I'm a cape faggot all the way, but trends come and go. Suits have a way of disrupting decent content. And general audiences get fatigued. I have debated stupid cape shit like whether Wonder Woman's uterus could withstand Superman's jizz blast since I was in elementary school. I don't want this stuff to die. But trends die down to a trickle. America was flooded with Westerns until we weren't. Flooded with WW2 movies until we weren't. The 90's were lousy with sci-fi TV and then just came back. And so on. Marvel Studios had an amazing run. Maybe we are nearing the end game on this trend cycle.
