I'm not too familiar with engineering but that's a little different, isn't it? Since you have to go to school, pass tests, take some kind of certification exam, etc. . Hollywood has no real quality control and no minimum qualifications to get in front of a camera.

If they all work in the same firm or company then I could see that as an example of nepotism, but I think in the case of engineering it's more that having an engineer parent is a factor that pushes them towards engineering. Hollywood is where talentless or mediocre talents can somehow squeeze in because they were the progeny of more talented parents.
