Yeah, anyone who loved or hated it is a pleb.

Is it the First Man of this year?

i like brad and i like space but i heard he wants to suck his dads dick or something in this or he's like some fagit that cries
yeah i dunno

>Ad Astra
shouldve named it Roy McBride desu senpai
but its a great movie
Neptune looks comfy af

First Man
>outrage from right over dumb flag controversy
>outrage from left for not including niggers in movie
Ad Astra
>outrage from right about the film being about "toxic masculinity"
>outrage from left becasue the film is about men and the relationship between father and son
yep. both of these films have no political stance whatsoever but people will try and claim it does so they have a reason to complain.

Fuck this movie

Fuck humans. Fuck you all. I'm going out to the heliosphere and finding some alien booty

>pleb filter

Oh so it’s a shit movie? Cool I’ll cancel my plans for tomorrow.

IM CLAPPIN SUM CHEEKS

It's time to let go user.....

acting exactly like tommy lee jones in this movie lmao

It was pretty based
Ancient Alienfags be pissed

based. Tommy Lee Jones is /ourguy/
Would rather spend his life searching for alien pussy than get bogged down with a roastie on earth

Anyone who doesn't like this movie is a woman or a soiboi. this film was made for men

Just watched this today and it was fuckin' shit

Why the fuck are so many movies targeted to incels now?

This is NOT okay.

It was bretty good but nothing special. Are people really caring that much about it?

>Why go on.
>I will deal with him. I will deal with my father.
>*grabs a fucking piece of metal and jumps through Neptune's ring using it as a shield*
Pure Kino

Tommy Lee Jones couldnt sanction the buffoonery of the earthlings on the Lima so he btfo them all, then was like fuck this shit im gonna crash into neptune
based

>"There's a rage inside me, just like my father"
>"Here we go again, fighting over natural resources, I guess humans never change"
>Exposition lazily delivered through a news broadcast
>Surfing through a ring of Neptune on a metal plate
this movie was written by a 12 year old

Aren’t the rings of Neptune not that dense? It’s be more realistic if brad Pitt hit nothing on his way back to his ship.

Isn’t the whole point of the obvious narration was to hammer home that he’s well aware of his emotions but is kept from expressing them? He wants to say all these things but he can’t.

BASED TOXIC WHITE MALES ARE MAKING A COMEBACK

THE PATRIARCHY NEVER LEFT

theMoon being turned into a mall with pirates, it was pure kino

>Give up your dream, there's nothing out there so stop wasting your time and just settle down with that nice woman and be a good member of society

fuck this movie.

Is there a reason why the Lima project couldn't have a rotating crew? Clearly it wasn't a one way trip since Brad Pitt made it back. Seems like it would have been a good idea to keep the crews sanity and it would be in line with how we currently handle the crews on the Intl Space Station.

Could be that the technology for two-way long-distance trips wasn't available at the time the Lima project left.

Even then, Roy needed to use a nuke to help propel him back to Earth

Weren’t they supposed to keep going to the outer limits? I assumed the Lima shit fucked with the ship.

Are you ready for your psychological evaluation?

The quality of the writing of the narration is so terrible though. I can't remember a single noteworthy or memorable line. It was all just Brad Pitt explaining and spoon-feeding plot details to the audience.

>ive been on this board for so long that I can’t a remember a time where I wasn’t on it. I still remain committed to the mission.

Isn’t his mind always on the mission with brief moments of expressing his emotional turmoil before being reminded of the mission?

>heartbeat over 80
sorry lad you're going back to r*ddit

>that opening scene

>contact NASA confirmation code Bravo-Delta-Niner-Lima-November-Eight

So many times i found myself just shaking my head in disbelief, the nose eating monkeys, the 5 minutes till blast off stowaway, the black bitch and crew instakill. THE INTERGALACTIC SURFBOARD WTF!! who green lighted this shit? So much potential wasted...

YOU KNOW WHAT HAD A GOOD OPENING SPACE SCENE
DARK PHOENIX
WAS PRETTY SICK IN IMAX TOO BAD THE REST OF THE MOVIE SUCKED LMAO

>nose eating monkeys
those will fuck you up you know imagine that in space
jamie do we have that video?

Really sweaty? Maybe the last line of the movie? HELLO

Why would right wingers decry toxic masculinity?

DONT WORRY HES WRONG

ITS A TYPE OF BRAINLETISM, THE HORSESHOE THEORIST

lol
>stop exploring
>stay at home
>what we have now is all we ever will
This movie was made by and for lazy soibois

IT'S A MOVIE ABOUT A TOXIC WHITE MALE IN SPACE

SO ITS BASED

SIMPLE AS

Humanity will never leave our solar system within 500-750 years at least. We already know there's only really mining to be done in the planets within our system and on asteroids. There's no other reason to be sending humans to space at the current time and for the foreseeable future. Habitable planets are scarce and distant, outside of human capability.

>Habitable planets are scarce and distant

You will feel really stupid once next gen telescopes start going online.

>its Yea Forums wont stop sucking brad pitt dick thread
yawn

>I look forward to the day my solitude ends, and I am home.

Some people say the voiceover was putting to fine a point on the themes, but a lot of it hits hard.

the baboon scene was kino

I think it improves the film and I usually hate voice overs.

>You will feel really stupid once next gen telescopes start going online.

Are they going to tell us there's a star closer than Proxima Centauri which is itself far outside our reach?

The contrast between the first and final psych evals was great.

>is it the shit tier space movie of this year?
Well is it?

Why keep looking out when you're supposed to be looking in? You won't fix your problems by leaving.

ANY SPACE MOVIE IS ALREADY AUTOMATICALLY BETTER THAN 90% OF MOVIES RELEASED IN ITS YEAR

No it isn't because only less than 10% of Space movies are ever good

If you expected that aliens will appear at any point during the movie, then you don't deserve to be here.

Is it worth watching?

I saw it twice.

Yes in IMAX. That’s if your not expecting too much action.

ALL BIG BUDGET SPACE MOVIES ARE GOOD
SOME MID BUDGET SPACE MOVIES ARE GOOD
YOU HOWEVER ARE NEVER GOOD LMAO

I hate First man, I love Contact and Arrival, I hear that this is similar to "Apocalypse now" which I love.
I will like this one?

As I was watching this I kept trying to think of the movie it reminded me of, later I figured out it was The American Astronaut.

youtube.com/watch?v=uujG1ADn2zk

What didn't you like about First Man? Not trying to put down, just curious.

>Pillow and blanket combo costs $120

Inflation or is it really that expensive to have extra amenities on board a rocket?

The main character surprised his emotions like gosling did in First Man but Pitt outdoes him in subtleties. Narrated like apocalypse now and has the same structure.

>encounter an unstable antimatter chain reaction, which your boss tells you could easily destroy all life in the solar system
>stick a great big nuke in it

Attached: 1528621586456.png (544x492, 561K)

Suppresses

I like how its shooted but it feels like its dragging the whole movie, I get the characters but not invest in them; I kinda need a movie with a climax and first man doesnt do it for me.
thanks that its helpful.

>leave your wife friends and kid behind and waste years of your life in a tin can doing research for us goy! Work life balance is a meme!

kikes hate space exploration because only nazis are good at it

How would things be different if Roy simply let the Cepheus crew do their job? It still ends up with a dead dad and a nuked Project Lima.

And three lives are spared in the process.
