The writing is dreadful; the books were terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

I saw it in cinema and torrnted it once. It was a good experience in the cinema. Kind of weak at home though. To follow the characters Scamander, his gf and Dumbledore I'm awaiing the next movie slightly hopeful.
The magical animals are really cool and feels to me like a version of pokemon that make sense in live action. I see the critisisms but to any HP fan who havent seen it I'd say it's woth a watch.

Mixing of magical blood would eventually lead to the death of their entire society. A mud blood would be one who didnt grow up with an appreciation for magic because they did not exist in that culture all their lives. Theyd treat it more like a tool rather than just their way of life. Look at Tom Riddle, Harry, and Hermione. All 3 grew up outside the magical world and treated magic like a tool and all 3 had no problem breaking rules set in place by wizards much more experienced than they were in order to make sure stuff didnt get destroyed.

If you grow up not knowing magic exists and then you learn about it when youre a teenager, most of us would probably treat it like a tool to get what we want
