It was ALWAYS a brittish film where the minority got beat up during the movie and as the only minority in class it was super awkward for me.

Closest I got was when a first year teacher let the class watch the Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan. The dumb bitch didn't know or forgot that it had titties in a love scene. The class oohed and aahed because high school and she ran to the TV screen and did her best to cover it up. Sophomore year lol
>ctrl+F threads
>no replies
fucking millenial scums.
Because it is. Superbook, also known as Animated Parent and Child Theatre (アニメ 親子劇場 Anime Oyako Gekijō),[1] is an anime television series from the early 1980s, initially produced at Tatsunoko Productions in Japan in conjunction with the Christian Broadcasting Network in the United States and more recently solely produced by CBN for global distribution and broadcast.
It was pretty kino too. I went to a all-boy catholic school and we all loved it
Dunno i remember our teacher left us to attend something and one classmate put his Girls Gone Wild dvd.
At the end of Grade 8, we watched Scream. The girl who liked me sat on my lap for the entire movie

No that girl was mexican. I had a crush.
In 7th grade we came back from lunch to history class and we were going to watch one scene from Gangs of NY but when our Boomer teacher hit play on the DVD player there was some kind of nude scene that instantly started playing.
Don't know if that counts.
Even when I was 8 I could see through that bullshit
There were titties on Romeo and Juliet when we watched it.
From what I remember, this was all high school aside from Bill Nye:

My psych teacher had a few psychology documentaries on laserdisk (this was 2014) though I don't recall which.
Saw this one in elementary school, totally forgot about it until now.
COSMOS. The original comfy mind-expanding one.
Now that I think about it we also got to watch the Animal Farm movie in English class. Pretty sure it was the 1999 one.

>not watching the animated version
BRUH
We're watching All Summer In A Day
Can kids today watch Chrostmas specials like Charlie Brown Christmas or The Grinch in the week leading up to winter break, or is that not allowed anymore?
we didn't see The Wave but we got to read a condensed screenplay. I liked it desu.
>everyone had their knobs out
wat
You had to go to school on Xmas eve?
Teacher tried to play Roots, class was laughing at it, so we had to watch Rememver the Titans instead and write a 10 page paper.
raiders of the lost ark
Surprised no one else has posted it.
Sometimes my teacher couldn't get the cart tv though, so we watched stuff on some little tv on the counter (yes our classroom had one)
youtube.com
My experience as a US high schooler in NY 2002-2006
I remember watching some video about how it's difficult to catch AIDS and they had just random shots all quickly cut together of kids going down a slide, people picking fruit out of a bowl, and opening doors. I was crying I was laughing so hard and got sent to the principal's office.
I also got sent to the principal in 2nd grade for not wanting to be paired up with the black girl for the square dancing unit (yes, really...and I live in NJ) in gym class.
Anyway, as for kino shown in a classroom environment:
* Mississippi Mermaid, for French class, 4th form (=9th grade) I think
* Gallipoli, History, 4th form again
* Casablanca, History again, 6th form (=11-12th). although this was the history teacher not giving a fuck, not something that counted to A level
* Bakshi Lord Of The Rings, 6th grade English (this was before I went to the UK)
I'm not counting documentaries obviously.
And there was some French Caribbean thingie they showed us in 7th grade French in the US, all about how "The Master became The Boss" and this poor black kid was accused of plagiarism for writing that /leftypol/ screed, but I don't remember the title.
What I did learn is that if the boobs were in a foreign language, they'd screen the boobs to junior high and high school kids, because French speaking boobs are educational. Oh la la.
This, plus 12 Angry Men & Remember the Titans
The story was depressing AF, still mad about it and its been almost 15 years.
Never again. Whose the faggot that wrote it?
holy shit i thought I was the only one that saw this
Night at the Museum 1 and 2 or National Treasurer 1 and 2.
Bradbury I think. He wrote it when he still thought Venus was the cloudy rain planet.
The movie was 1970s when they knew Bradbury was wrong, so they didn't name the planet.
October Sky, several times
the first half of A Knight's Tale, 3 times
French Kiss (4 times) and the Lion King with French subtitles in French class
Some of my teachers were really bad.
ad astra and first man don't got shit on this history class space kino
OMG you had to watch a lot of shit.
Except Battle of Algiers.
Serious question: I see a few mentions of Remember the Titans here. Did that movie get replaced with The Blind Side for zoomers to fill the "racial harmony plus sports" movie quota?
Our Friend Martin, the whole thing's on Youtube
youtube.com
Well that dredged up some long buried memory, holy shit
Yes. I saw the switch happen.
>no strap over the top of the TV
We watched 3/4 of Scarface in my world history class. Some pussy complained and we didn't get to finish it :(

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
Dances with Wolves.
Who remembers watching the old Romeo and Juliette movie in Highschool where it shows a legit 15 year old girl topless?
I don't know how English teachers got away with showing that for so long.
my french teacher put amelie and walked out of the classroom for the sex scenes
Because it's ART.
For most of my pre-junior high years the "generic movie of choice" always seemed to be Bug's Life.
Probably Bill Nye or something. It's difficult to tell since sometime around the late 1990s/early 2000s my elementary school went through a huge upgrade, literally going from the point where filmstrips were watched fairly frequently (does anyone remember the ones with the library books?) to where TVs were permanently were mounted in the corner of every room, and it was those TVs where I watched 9/11 started to unfold in real time.
Romeo +Juliette
They were showing it (with titties, thanks based Mrs. Morrison) in 2010 in my Freshman English class, they probably still show it today.
Se7en, Jurassic Park Twister or a Buddy Holly doc if it was music class.
The worst animated rendition of the jungle book I've ever seen, what in the absolute fuck is this. I didn't even know something this cringe inducing could exist, and the fact that you thought we'd want to watch makes me embarrassed for you.
GATTACA
again
I got to watch the Patriot on one of these bad boys.
>that scene where he pushes the fast forward button just as she gets them out
SCIENCE RULES
That's an awfully thin VCR, how do you get the videos inside?
Probably fucking Gattaca AGAIN
What grade did they show you that? That film is gory as fuck.
