The RE movies are great, well mostly. I liked that it was remixed stuff from the games and the games eventually took stuff from the movies. It was really cool to see that on the big screen. After watching all the director commentaries with him and jeremy bolt it's pretty clear they know a lot about the games and paul has played them quite a bit.

The thing about the RE movies is their focus on over the top action.
Paul would've made a pretty awesome Devil May Cry movie series. It's the kind of movie he makes. Putting him in charge of a franchise like Resident Evil wasted him.

All there was was Reptile, Scorpion's chain, Sub Zero's ice powers, and Shao Kahn at the end. Nearly everything else was practical.

It was just a movie that ticked the boxes that could be applicable for fans of the vidya and the modern moviegoers

Bought it on cassette. Was a real fucking treat with this and the Hackers soundtrack around the same time.
