It's just a really by-the-books superhero action movie
Black Panther as a character is not very interesting - he doesn't really struggle with anything. He gets the powers, he gets the suit, and he protects Wakanda from the bad guy.
They were trying to get into some themes like "filling his father's shoes" but at no point is that ever in doubt - his father always believed in him, and everybody in Wakanda had no doubt he would be a fine king.
So there's not really much for him to do except beat up the bad guy at the end, who of course wears a similar suit and has similar powers but with a color swap
