I hear Cameron is a big Ridley Scott fan

Maybe it is just a 'famous' tunnel in LA?
That tunnel is in Downtown L.A. and I used to walk through it everyday to and from work. You can see on the side there is a VERY tiny sidewalk, and each trip through there was a brush with death. Facing such daily dangers has turned me into the manly alpha I am today, and made my hog grow about an inch and a half.
>fan
thats a funny way of spelling "hack"
i just watched a scene from attack of the clones and i think i said fuuuck off out loud when the stupid motown speeder they were in swoops down to the iconic bladerunner gas flares and when he started doging and weaving them i just turned it off
>well ridley you may have come up with that concept but in MY movie the flares are actually part of the action
the word pathetic comes to mind
I wanna live in L.A. so bad let me sleep in your closet please.
>I wanna live in L.A
No. You dont.
What in the hell are you blathering around nigga
why not
camehack btfo
the thread is about directors copying shit from ridley
Because its obscenely overpriced, overpopulated, completely chocked full of all species of mexican, polluted, rent is positively extortionists and the whole thing is just filthy.
eh i live in jersey now and moving anywhere would be an upgrade. im gonna buy a camper van an live off ramen while trying to break into hollywood
Leave the stupid comparisons to anime fans, asswipe.
>jersey
Forget everything I said. Get out here now. California is several steps above Jersey even with all its problems
However, if you're gonna live in a van and try to make it in Hollywood, you should know some things. once you start doing gay porn, you should realize things arent going to work out quite as you've planned. And when you obtain the obligatory meth habit, you should stay north of Santa Monica Blvd or the pimps will turn you out and have you sucking dick Wilshire and Western
Cameron is the biggest hack of all time. He has never once in his career had an original thought.
Terminator - Plagiarized from a novella.
Terminator 2 - Terminator with more explosions
Aliens - Alien with more explosions.
Titanic - Literally just history.
Avatar - Pocahontas in space.
>Other films in which the tunnel has appeared include: The Terminal Man (1974), The Driver (1978), When a Stranger Calls (1979), Flashdance (1983), The Terminator (1984), Repo Man (1984), Sneakers (1992), Deep Cover (1992), Demolition Man (1993), Money Talks (1997), Con Air (1997), Gattaca (1997), Enemy of the State (1998), Independence Day (1996), Kill Bill (2003), Transformers (2007) and Black November (2012). It is also featured in music videos such as "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls, "We R Who We R" by Kesha, "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, "Kings and Queens" by Thirty Seconds to Mars, "Grenade" by Bruno Mars, "Sing" by My Chemical Romance, "Protovision" by Kavinsky, "Bet" by Tinashe, "Feel Good (feat. Daya)" by Gryffin and Illenium, and "Narcissist" by Halo Circus, and "Please Me" by Bruno Mars and Cardi B.
Cameron is a hack. He literally got sued (successfully) for ripping the plot of Terminator of some guy's book. And just look at Avatar's "plot"
HOWEVER the shot in question is an homage at best. It's quite likely that the location manager was the same person on both films, or that this tunnel is just easy/cheap to get a permit to film in.
But 90% of tunnel shots look visually similar because it's a fucking tunnel. You strap a camera to a car and drive and that's more or less the shot you get.
BR looks newer than Terminator wtf
>He literally got sued (successfully) for ripping the plot of Terminator of some guy's book
Modern directors don't even read obscure stuff and just rip off old classics from 60's and 70's. He also wrote the script for Strange Days which is a pretty good movie.
Now post MIB and Back to the Future
Wow, it's almost like he is a filmmaker and not a scriptwriter. I guess Kubrick is even bigger hack than Cameron.
yeah, definitely the most iconic use of it, but certainly not the first. that sound is so memorable.
what are some other famous tunnels?
your mamma's
MOOOODS
my roommate is watching demolition man right now and I just happened to see the tunnel in it too
It shows, both are mediocre.
Stay the fuck in New Jersey, we have so many of you assholes here it’s ridiculous. New Jersey is like right after Mexico in terms of where the people ruining California come from
kek i'm curious as to what they did to piss you off?
The tunnel under the brooklyn bridge is in pretty much every film set in ny.
Same goes for the tunnels underneath Chicago actually. Most notable in TDK
