Why is this shit so popular?

Used to fucking hate having to watch it 10 times a year during Christmas time as a kid

The song is a positive masterpiece compared to the utter trash that gets made these days, though.

SIPPING ON MY IRRRN BRUUUU

The fucks wrong with it you miserable cunt?

I like Snowman but with the same guy also making When The Wind Blows I have to wonder how he got so fucked up to willing write these stories.Their so depressing I'm surprised he hasn't killed himself

You brought a breath of fresh air to this board

it was secretly about grooming.
Imagine the snowman as Stephen Fry, you'll see what I mean.

t. breathes farts

You're a nigger aren't you?

I've no idea what you're on about, I'm 29 and I haven't seen it in at least 20 years

You have no soul, sorry.

>wholesome sincerity and tradition is bad
you wanna know how i know you're a soulless zoomer, op?

You might be Jewish

Reminder that the kid was young David Bowie

Does anyone else feel like crying when listening ti this song?

It's popular because the book is a classic graphic novel.
The animation is ok, but it's popular mainly because of its faithfulness to the book, the song, comes from a long lost time of British animation, and is itself about a long lost memory of British winter.

>and is itself about a long lost memory of British winter
And a long lost memory of Britain

Never seen this. Isn't that a nightwish song?

>And a long lost memory of Britain
Which isn't saying much, seeing as how if you'll notice that the kid is a ginger.
He would have been brutally bullied into suicide in 'old Britain'.

It's timeless kino.

OP, I respect you for posting an actually fresh topic but Halloween hasn’t even come to pass yet. Can this wait another 2 months?

This film is a masterpiece. Everything about it is flawlessly executed- animation, music, theme, it’s all perfect.

>I LOST MY UNDERWEEARRRRRR UP THEERRREEEE

me and my m8s just swapped the lyrics and took the piss

>comfy October/November/December season
Nah. Having to socialize with normalfags/relatives, having to feel bad for not buying people presents, having to eat sugary foods because amerifats are too fucking ignorant to not eat every hour on the hour, having to pretend to do something over the break, having to listen to shitty music. Fuck this season.

were you ever a kid you beast?

The animation is lovely and faithful to the original illustrations, the score is terrific, the main song is an iconic classic, the physical comedy does its job, the quaint rural England Winter setting is bliss.
I never burn out on it because I generally only see it twice a year. Once on my own, and again on Xmas Day when I see my family.
Fuck the snowdog.

December
>Snowman
>Muppet Christmas Carol
>Disney's Very Merry Xmas Songs '88

That's exactly why I do it, to give myself my own little traditions to look forward to. All that stuff you're talking about are things that you can opt out of. I stopped going to Thanksgiving/Christmas family gatherings a few years back, because I realized at some point that I hate pretending to enjoy the company of people who I only talk to once a year, and I'm a grown man who doesn't have to do shit like that if I don't want to. It's incredibly liberating. All that said, I still enjoy the sights and sounds of the season, even moreso now than I used to.

Father Christmas was superior in every way
