I think one of Grant’s magic spells backfired or something and prohibits him from doing anything movie related. It’s his biggest dream and he can’t get anything movie (adaptation) related done. Meanwhile, his protege-turned-nemesis Mark Millar simplybwrites comics so they can be turned into movies now.

Batman Rip would be verbatim from the comics (with some flashback scenes to goofy Silver Age Batman adventures that were just hallucinations). Imagine people getting mad at the whole shenenigans with Honor Jackson, Zur-En-Ark and Bat-Mite. Post credit scene would obviously be Bruce Wayne returning to the cave after surviving the helicopter crash and getting ready to die in Final Crisis
Dick Grayson & Damian Wayne + Return of Bruce Wayne (and Simon Hurt and the Joker) would follow
