Pine Barrens
>directed by Rian Johnson
The Sopranos:
Long Term Parking, College, Knight in White Satin Armor, Whitecaps, Whoever Did This
Season 7 episode 1 of The Walking Dead
Live Together, Die Alone
The Constant
It's almost like Rian Johnson isn't a bad director even though he made a movie that triggered a bunch of autistic manchildren.
that was the fly one wasn't it
>It's almost like Rian Johnson isn't a bad director even though he made a movie that triggered a bunch of autistic manchildren.
Whoops I meant that haha sorry guys. Op posted a 10/10 my bad
It's almost like Breaking Bad is overrated and everyone who gushes about it hasn't watched anything more complex than a Tarantino movie
loved this episode
>second to last episode of S4 of The Wire
My fucking favorite
Farscape 3x16 Revenging Angel (the looney tunes episode)
The Test Dream
last two episodes of the wire were incredible too '
youtube.com
I’m gonna post an 11/10, I hope it’s fine
As great as Ozymandias is, it's not like Rian was the glue that made it all work. If it were directed by Michelle MacLauren, it would probably be on the same level of excellent seeing how kino To'hajilee was.
Seasons finales were 10/10s except for season 2.
Oh true2true
Based only watches underground kino that no one has heard of poster
the slow building reaction when everyone realizes what Lane did is amazing

Fleabag Season 2 Episode 1
Everything in that final episode was pure kino.
>DUDE I'M TOO COOL TO QUOTE LMAO

Chuck's saga threads were pretty good desu
why is it so hard to find those in an archive?
>that one better cuck chuck poster with louie ck in the background
S11E05 of The Simpsons
ozymandius was directed by rian johnson. what happened?
because it wasn't written by him, that's what happened
christoper
the sopranos
Based. Had to make sure someone mentioned it
>no comedy
fuckin' brainlets
the friends episode where they find the prom video
mac and charlie die or jersey shore
take your pick from 15 different seinfeld or simpsons episodes minimum
the first 4 series of peep show are equally flawless, but the series 4 finale and the episode before it are peak brit comedy

(you)
Scrubs did not age well
>netflix never bothered with this
>pic related still remains the greatest series finale of all time
Nathan for you finale is one of the best episodes of television. Not even a mild exaggeration
Friday Night Lights
The Son
I rewatched most of it last year and loved it, as long as you pretend it ended when it should have it holds up perfectly well
>MAGNA CARTA
I'm still a little sad he didn't go for one more season.
Not sure I'm following you here, lad. Netflix never bothered with it how exactly?
that laugh track is insufferable
You know, I've seen a couple of episodes of Nathan For You and really enjoyed them, but haven't taken the time to watch the rest of the series. I think I'll have to catch up on that.
Its a relic of its time. Growing up with it you notice it less.
season 3 was shite and I assume it's only gotten worse
Firefly - Objects in Space
To the Lost from Boardwalk Empire
Bastogne from Band of Brothers
Ah, fair enough. USS Callister was solid incelcore, but for the most part yeah it's definitely declined. Season 5 was absolute fucking trash. I likes Nosedive and Hated in the Nation in season 3 though
It's shit cause she died after
He's not a terrible director but he's a terrible writer. If you think that The Last Jedi is a well written film then you're simply hopeless. Beyond shitting on a franchise that a lot of people cared about its simply a poorly conceived and put together story notable only for its childish obsession with subverting expectations even when doing so is to the detriment of the narrative.
And lets be real here, directing a cast and crew that's already been doing a show for 4 seasons while following another writer's excellent script isn't exactly a challenge.
agreed
This is honestly 11/10 because this singular episode provides thematic trails of breadcrumbs for the entire series.
See >SHE WAS A HORSE
S5 finale of the shield
Wrong, when Chuck was still alive it made for pretty good TV, but after he died it plummeted in quality to the point of being unwatchable.
Kino
Maario Naharis
The Terror: Episode 9- The C, The C, The Open C
Based. One of the best cartoons ever.
What's this?
Very much this. I'm gonna have to start rewatching the series one of these days.
Twin Peaks season 2 finale
Oath
First 3 seasons where good then it went to absolute boring shit territory
The Leftovers. Brilliant show.
the international assassin is better but this one is still kino
the entire last season is perfect
better than TPS3
>getting raped by overweight miners for eternity
Season 4 Episode 1 of The Wire.
Faggot
episode 5 of too old to die young
I had forgotten about this part, one of the roughest moments from the show
last episode was better, that's close though.
The fact one could make a good argument that this was better than International Assassin guarantees it's kino status.
both of chris' episodes
michelle's episodes
sid's episodes
honestly just all of series 1 and 2.
For me it was Battle of the Century
>Whitecaps
>great
Screw your season long NY-NJ rift, we're gonna have family drama for an hour!
The Wire, Middle Ground (season 3 episode 11).
The Prisoner, second to last episode (part 1 of the two part finale).
Mad Men, Shut the Door Have a Seat (season 3 finale).
Twin Peaks (season 1, season 2, and season 3 finales).
Hero
S2 ending to Hannibal
This.
First correct post
He’s hit or miss at best. He’s a risk taker so that’s something. Still deserves the mountain of hate for ruining Star Wars.
I'd argue Parricide was a tighter episode.
Oops meant to reply to this one
True Detective S1Ep5 The Secret Fate of All Life
>Remember Mike?
>I don't
Great fucking scene, especially that moment and what it represents, but think I'd give the slight edge to Prez and Dookie's goodbye.
>only those who could possibly criticize are incel loser white ebil nazi gamers
take an IQ test and live stream it, useful idiot
>writes this thinking it's humerous
>is a actually a hollywood writer and director
The entire second part was kino
33 Minutes, The Hand Of God, the New Caprica Arc, and Baltar's trial are all insane good episodes of television.
And from the spooky trifecta:
Supernatural - Mystery Spot
Buffy TVS - The Zeppo
Angel - Smile Time
I was astounded they used the laugh track there. I cannot imagine why they thought that would work or why it was a good idea. Almost ruined a genuinely great scene
Season 3 evil Morty reveal episode.
Based and Rustpilled
unironically this is correct if the previous episodes and last episode actually tried to help it make sense. I feel like this is the only episode of the last season that follows GRRM exactly.
Hannibal season 2 finale
Also this. It's fucking incredible
Ozymandiaw is great!!
[ ]
heaaaaat of the moment
based and unironically redpilled
DUDE, Asia

The episode "Pegasus" (s2e10) from Battlestar Galactica.
>I'm getting my men
> Rian Johnson directed the best-rated (Ozymandias) and worst-rated (The Fly) episodes of Breaking Bad.
S02E02 of Succession
I DON'T KNOW YOU
If anything he's proven he's a good TV director, and should just stick to that. Brick, Looper, and TLJ are all gay shit. Knives Out looks reddit as fuck, too.
Incredible episode. Coach is especially great in this.
Fly is a true pleb filter. It's a really great episode.
Yes user because a movie by one of the directors didn't match your highly refined taste the show is bad.
Also they like Tarantino? You sure showed them

God I love BSG so much.
Only thing in recent memory that comes close is The Expanse, why is good sci-fi space stuff so rare?
is the walking dead worth watching again or is tv tricking me i never watched past season 2
the test dream was unironically the only sopranos episode that i skipped through. i dont give a shit about metaphors and trying to work out what something means thats boring as fuck
>NOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST KILL MY BROTHER IN LAW
Fleabag season 2, episode 3
>nooo they killed my chad brother in law who busted my balls all the time and whom my son idolizes way more than me this is totally on the same level as Gus seeing his protoge/gay lover getting shot noooooo im so sad just way more sad than if Jesse or Walt Jr got shot instead

Season 2 gets worse with every episode. It will be nearly unwatchable by the time it ends.
based opinion, so many shitters hating on this episode does my head in
he's extremely hit or miss
Last Jedi and most of Looper are dogshit, but his BB Episodes and music videos for The Mountain Goats are kino
International Assassin. The entire show is mostly 10/10 episodes tbqh. Unreal level of quality
Leg disabled.
He didn't write those episodes though. He's not a bad director, he just shouldn't write things.
Chicanery
>sentient AI/ digital consciousness
this episode marked the downfall of the series
the penultimate episode of Fargo season 1
based triggerer of manchildren
That writer is just fucking horrible at concluding his stories.
Family meeting is the greatest finale episode ever

The Suitcase/The Wheel/The Crash.
The Suitcase was great. Their argument was so well done.

Also, for its sizeable few flaws, Fargo Season 2 has some absolute kino moments.

It was one of the best things on television until the final episodes started to sniff their own farts
youtube.com
"Haven't had a slice of pie like that since the garden of Eden"
>sizeable few flaws
curious what you're referring to - the ufo stuff? hanzee finding wrench and numbers on the playground?
It is shit tho because there’s too many inconsistencies and characters being dumbed down for the sake of just moving the story forward. It’s not even half as good some of the best episodes in the series unless you just like random explosions.
felina ending with my baby blue was the most offputting finale song
i hated it and i hate it now
based.
cringe, the lyrics are kino
lyrics are okay, the music was shit
>no 6 degress of separation

Sopranos - College / Remember When are both absolute 10/10
I always thought the S5 ending was the best
Fuck it was such a good reveal the first time.
>Think they're not going to show the body
>They duck the camera on like 3 occasions, blocking the view of Lane
>That quick scene where they nonchalantly show him at the same time Don sees him for the first time
Masterfully done, such a great reveal
ATHF - The Broodwich
That episode of KotH were Bobby sees Luane naked
Hanzee becoming Tripoli isn't stupid in itself, thematically it's quite neat, but they should have got someone who isn't a giant Italian-looking white bloke to play Tripoli in Season 1 to make it believable one could grow into the other if they were planning to set it up- which I suspect they weren't, they just made it up as they went along like so many US shows. Plastic surgery in the 70s making a Native American into a natural, non-Michael-Jackson-looking white Italian-American is just too silly in the "grounded" element of the show, we already had the UFOs for the urban legend bit for that season.
Hanzee meeting young Wrench and Numbers wouldn't have been contrived in itself unless it had no bearing to their role in season 1 and Hanzee had just happened to stumble across two kids who'd later grow up to be independent elements of the same story, but that's not the case.
The UFO didn't actually bug me too much given we got the precedent of the biblical references in season 1 setting the tone of the show as faux-urban legend. However, Hanzee's turning on the Gerhardts wasn't set up very well. I also wish they'd done something more with the conference Peggy was obsessed with, like having the shootout wind up happening there. Seemed like red herrings for red herrings' sake, same as the Greek bloke and his son in season 1. They cut the last scene featuring him for time where they discuss some Book of Job type shit that (not very well) ties up his arc. Instead it's probably season 1's biggest flaw, spending so much time on the whole supermarket king subplot only for it end up meaning nothing except a couple of cool setpieces with no real bearing on either the plot or the thematics, hyped up as something significant and then left hanging. I know it's something the Coen brothers do a lot in their own work for edginess's sake but it's one of the worst things about their films and it doesn't mean it should be copied. Again, red herrings for red herrings' sake.

>Those Yea Forums """leak""" shitposts about the first episode of S5B where the baby was drowned in the pool that made more thematic sense than what we got
I miss those days bros
DUSTY OLD BONES FULL OF GREEN DUST
Season 1 had lots of kino episodes, but especially Company Man.
why is gendry dressed in a sweater and holding a glass
what the fuck is he wearing, that trashback jacket looks awful on a suit, layers upon layer upon fucking layers
That was almost prophetic in a way since TLJ was the most divisive blockbuster of the last... Maybe ever?
The ultimate C(_)CK episode
Granite State is the best episode of the final season. I remember the thread on Yea Forums for that episode, that ending had everyone on edge
>I feel like this is the only episode of the last season that follows GRRM exactly.
This, except instead of Cersei it will be Aegon in the books.
Kennedy and Heidi - The Sopranos
Part 18 - Twin Peaks: The Return
Bastogne - Band of Brothers
Caillou and the Dragon - Caillou
Stargate SG-1: Window of Opportunity
This
Pretty much. Breaking Bad's quality was always determined by the writing.
this
Actually Ozymandias was the best episode. I remember the thread on Yea Forums for that episode and the entire episode, not just the ending, had everyone on edge.
having a 5 episodes long climatic battle in one location was so fucking briliant
The Expanse S02E04 Godspeed. This episode was some intense shit and better than ep 5 for me.
>The Nauvoo leaving Tycho Station
>Holden nuking the medical ship
>The debris from the medical ship fucking up the nuke's safety
>Miller staying back to ensure the safety doesn't go off
>that fucking ending
Live audience, not a laugh track
That sounds just as dumb as Walt Jr dying because he starts smoking Walter's meth.
ya think we'll reminisce about the end of got in the same way?
What show?
S3 Part 2 was peak kino. I think Midnight Sun or That Day were probably my favorite though. Everything with Kruger was amazing too.
youtube.com
Everything about this scene is just perfect. Why the fuck hasn't any TV made me feel this way since Lost?
Pilot episode of Dark
It started with so much mystery and an interesting plot
Best opening to a series I'd seen in a long time
The Storm
The Siege of the North
Zuko Alone
The Crossroads of Destiny
The Avatar and the Firelord
The Day of Black Sun
Sozin's Comet
I've seen that show so many times and I still laugh out loud like a sperg at that episode
Doctor who, episode Heaven Sent
He's a colossal faggot and Last Jedi was trash, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad director.
Pine barrens ffs
Friends ruined ozymandias to me by spoiling it.
>tfw I'll never experience watching it in full the first time
Avatar is a cartoon for children
kino. For once I didn't mind the awfully formulaic "haha we'll deliberately mislead the audience and then pretend we laid breadcrumbs to figure it out throughout the episode" shit they always do
Felina is the worst TV experience i have ever had.
Such an awful episode
fuck off. avatar is based. aang and sokka and toph and iroh are great characters.
Most of Babylon Berlin is 10/10, but everything about the Blutmai episode was pure perfection.
tales of ba sing se, the cave, the puppetmaster, the desert. it had no business being as good as it was
any episode where Svetlana sings is also 100% kino
Miami Vice s1 ep2 Heart of Darkness
genuinely some of the best tv i've ever seen, the first time I watched Erwin's charge I was speechless
Episode 4 and 5 of True Detective, peak of television
>is shown to be a disturbed psychopath, but still deeply cares about slaves and the otherwise oppressed
>uses unnecessary force a few times
>watches friend die, even though she has lost people before, this one is worse?
>Snow doesn't dick her down
>???
>systematically kills thousands of innocents for no reason instead of targeting the one building she should, the one with the oppressors in it, even though there is no way she will be able to rule after committing this atrocity. Guess she's crazy lol :)
True Detective s1e4
True but the ending of Granite State was a pretty crazy cliff hanger. The theme music was a nice touch to get everyone hype.
