Michael Shannon appreciation thread

I love him as an actor, especially in the role of General Zod in Man of Steel

he's based irl too

What’s this haircut called? Can I rock it with a five head and brown hair

Honestly hated him because of zod. It wasn't until I seen boardwalk empire when I learned to appreciate him.

I WILL FIND HIM!

I didn't hate him as Zod, but I also went pretty much this path. And the guy is endearing as fuck irl.

What was his problem?

He's KINO in Nocturnal Animals and The Shape Of Water

Walton Goggins biopic?

did the days without an accident counter drop to 0? nice.
also, fuck i love this movie

>Look at this. We could have built a new Krypton in this squalor, but you chose the humans over us. I exist only to protect Krypton. That is the sole purpose for which I was born. And every action I take, no matter how violent, or how cruel, is for the greater good of my people. And now, I have no people. My soul…That Is what you have taken from me!

He seems to be a man highly prone to heed random impulses.

Seriously, I am dying to see him & Ezra Miller compete with one another for most mindbendingly fucktarded ensemble.

Man of Steel is such a weird movie

It's got so many disparate elements that sound amazing on their own, but they fail to coalesce into a coherent storyline and the director is manchild who thinks putting in a bunch of hamfisted Jesus parallels makes his movie profound, and despite Metropolis suffering about 100 9/11's in the climax everything is sunshine and rainbows because Superman kissed Lois Lane

Last thing I saw him in was Midnight Special. It was really bad.

Where did you find that picture of me?

>He's KINO in Nocturnal Animals
Who? What are you an owl? You an owl Lou?

This movie wouldn't have been fun if there wasn't the equivalent of 100 9/11s in it

It's called the "Caesar" cut.

While as a human I question why, if he had basically magi-tech, he didn't just to Mars, as a person I found this part moving.

I like to think that Earth was the only planet suitable because of it's mass
Mars lost it's own atmosphere because it doesn't have enough of a gravitational pull
If they included this in the movie, it would have been more KINO

Retard with no cinematic comprehension

Became one of my favourite actors after Boardwalk Empire. Loved him in 99 Homes

I feel ya, but those whatever terraforming things were increasing mass on Earth iirc. Then again, maybe they only had enough power to terraform something already most of the way there.

He and faora made the movie for me. Especially faora. Spin off movie with her when??

Man, I wish
Hopefully DC comes back to it's capeshit roots

Doesn't he have an unfortunate penor?

Looks fine to me. Not like, foine fine, but adequate.

I’ll pitch it, she manages to escape because comic book magic happens in movies as well, but she’s confused as to motivations and her ultimate goals because time and space manipulation fucks with memories or some shit. Make her more anti-hero because “true personality showing through” and fight, not a world menace, not a universal menace, but some local overly powered goofball as she’s still regaining her ability to use her powers and isn’t full god-like yet. Idk... something that shows her more prominently and she’d naturally kick a lot of ass as a military fighter.

Maybe bring in parallel universes including one in which Krypton can still be saved

Let’s touch wieners together while we watch the Snyder cut

Michael Shannon's best movie, ironically is about Furries.

So bring in SCIENCE!! and use the theory that everything is happening at the same time and add a dash of string theory nonsense that doesn’t really function that way but its loose enough that in comic books it dies, and she phases through time and space to appear on krypton and she trues to stop the world ending cataclysm as her powers are slowly disappearing?

They needed Earth because it had the organic material needed for terraforming. They could change Mars’ gravity but it wasn’t going to fill it up with trees and oceans.

looks like a 16 year old Aussie bong rat

Great cameo in Revolutionary Road... kind of an insane diviner character, not really a villain tho

DC mars has white martians and green martians

He's unironically my favourite actor working today. I watched Waco because he was in it and it was fucking great.

take shelter is my favourite film of the last decade i think

I liked him in Premium Rush and Nocturnal Animals
