The first TLOU was fine - good, even - but it wasn't NEARLY the groundbreaking title it was hyped up as by the devs, media and fanboys. It was a very solid but very cookie-cutter third person shooter that was carried along by the quality of its character writing and cutscenes despite the actual game part of the game (i.e., the thing that makes games worth playing) not being any particularly better or worse than Uncharted. It's ultimately kind of shallow.

So I don't think the entire medium of film is going to be btfo by the incredibly unncessary sequel to that

Games should be games. Do what you're good at doing, something these other mediums can't do.
Stop trying to be what you aren't. Because it just comes off half assed, try hard.
God of War was shit. All these other TLOU copycats too. "We're a serious medium now!" fuck off.
