Yep, I'm thinking this goes to the list of "kinos women will never understand".
Ad Astra
>One of the best space movies in years
yeah it's not like the competition is too harsh; you have Interstellar which is Nolan trash, First Man which was underwhelming, High Life which is more a character drama than anything
This is more of a character drama too. I agree that this is the best sci-fi/space film this decade. It's a flawed film but it's really good.
1. Ad Astra
2. First Man=BR 2049
3. High Life
>If you don't like it you don't get it, and are a roastie
This is the same cliche with a dash of sexism thrown in.
I wonder if pic related will fall into "films men will never understand".
I really like First man but it makes me feel bad for being a neet when I watch it, I feel like I should be studying and getting a job
What do you do all day when you are a neet?
Just saw it. Fucking awful.
>college
>look for jobs
>working out
>reading
>4channeling
>movies
look for jobs and never get any call
>>college
then you're not a neet, look up what neet stands for
Why
No women user?
Not even supermarket job?
Oh look another space film in 201X who everyone says it's special but turns out to be shit.
This is more of a character study and father son drama.
So just like Interstellar then?
Not really, it does what Interstellar tried to do and succeeds, especially the emotional core. It's like First Man, the main character is similar but his calmness is slowly cracking as he goes along. He also has father issues so that's an interesting relationship.
Can confirm
I saw it last night and a fucking cunt yelled she didn't understand why the dad killed himself
I've only seen the trailer, and I've heard it described as a visually stunning slow burn.
Is it literally just a clone of 2001: A Space Odyssey? It looks like one.
1950's 60's have nothing in common with 2019 retard
in 63' you could afford an apartment, a wife and two kids on a part time salary
Modern America is farther from the 50's than 1865 was from 1776
feel yourself dying
so called 'space movies' suck
I was tricked into The Marsian and Interstellar, both highly hyped and both unimpressive snorefests
not this time Hollywood. not this time
Everything except watch tv and movies
Not really, it's quite different more humanistic film. The plot structure is similar to Apocalypse Now.
This is better than both. It's more of an arthouse film, character study and study of isolation. Martian was stupid comedy and Interstellar tried what Ad Astra did. Exploration/travelling through universe and personal drama.
this.
Also chanelling
You can do that while having a job.
