I don't think much of her as an actress, but I wonder if it's simply the roles she's been given. Her in the Quiet, where she plays a deaf mute, is her best role imo. An actor or actress playing such a role has to convey everything with looks and body, no voice, but not make it seem like an autistic caricature of a deaf mute with exaggerated motions and facial expressions.
I dunno. I like that film.
