I went back and watched some of spoony's stuff again recenty because I've got way too much free time, some of it holds up especially well, Phantasmagoria 2 being the standout. SWAT is still fantastic, the editing makes SWAT a great watch even now, despite the bad video quality. The Thing also holds up as one of the best of the whole angry reviewer fad on youtube at the time. The guy clearly had talent as a writer and editor of these videos, in my opinion he was the funniest off all the reviewers when he was at his best. His main downfall with content were his streams, they fuckin sucked, he doesn't really have that snappy real time wit whatsoever, it HAS to be heavily edited to be good with Spoony. Talking of SWAT I noticed a few times he was bitching about his fans throughout it, you can see hints of his true personality in those old videos - he really was an absolute asshole. That cynicism is probably what lent itself to the humour in his videos. Despite what people say about his potential, which is true, I don't think his downfall could have ever been avoided, he's just too sensitive and unstable. It is pretty sad to watch some of his old videos, the 'Ask Spoony' one especially, he seemed so chipper and happy in those times and seemed so sincerely grateful that anyone was even watching his silly little videos.

I'm still waiting to see what happens with Spoony, he might just end up killing himself who knows, I don't think his new job will last very long, he never was able to hold down a job for very long it seemed. I just need to find out how the spoony experiment ends.
