The Goldfinch

Is this worth watching?

Yes

No

Maybe

I don't know

No

It has quite creative advertising

no, read the secret history instead

The book wasn’t very good, honestly. The whole gay dynamic with Peter comes out of fucking nowhere

It has some good scenes but most of the movie is quite poorly done, it's quite obvious the movie couldn't adapt the length of the book. I'd wait for the home release.

It’s gay kino

Who the fuck is Peter?

I want to watch it but it won’t come out here until the next month

It was a mess

WB is losing money on this but at least they still got The Joker

I have no idea what this film is about even after watching the trailers

Jumping a building in September, really?

Is it worth it for Finn

the book was okay

Yes.

>plays Boris like a Slavic androgynous Beete Davis
This is probably the most interesting thing anyone has said about this film

>I dunno Mr. Lahey, it’s pretty freaking far down from here

kek

The marketing for this film is terrible. People hardly know it’s on cinema, the trailers tell you nothing about this film or what genre it is unless you’ve read the book. The poster is a shirtless boy jumping in an empty black. The only people who know about this film are the one on twitter who are hyped to see Finn Wolfhard to play another gay character

I was going to watch it for Finn but fuck that, I'm glad it bombed now.

Yeah. He’s somehow the standout in the movie with Sarah Paulson, Nicole Kidman, Luke Wilson, Jeffrey Wright in it. But it’s hard to blame the actors when the issues of the film are all the director’s fault. The acting is the least of the problem of the film, even Ansel Elgort is fine

It’s not good but not terrible

WB should've given it to HBO as a mini series.

John Crowley is one of the most bland directors working right now, hell even his name is so bland he’s not even in the first result on google

What do you like it the most?

To be fair hardly anyone knows about this film existence except for the Finn Wolfhard fans who have been anticipating it from the beginning

Should I read the book? I’ve never read any book by Donna Tart and I’m a very slow reader, should I read The Goldfinch or The Secret History first?

Can't stand Ansel Elgort (what a fucking shitty name, jesus christ) so no

yeah

there's an explosion and some kid is sad about his mommy or something?
