Who exactly is Carson Wells? How does he know Chigurh? Is this explained in the book more? Or is it not necessary for the overall theme of the book/movie so they left it out?

He's a cop retard

It's his money? I think and I read the book

Expecting anything good from this shit movie...

>past a certain age, a contract killer without a nest egg can be a problem

Can you name something better user?

Aren't they suppose to mirror each other in their enigmas?

Iirc before he was a bounty hunter, he was a colonel in the Vietnam war

Off the top of my head?
Sicario
Hell or high water

Both similar but better. The movie is so lame.
Buster scruggs better. True grit better etc

He's a bounty hunter hired by American drug dealers to clean up their mess, did you watch the movie?
Its NOT his fucking money

Gotta get out of this fucking thread, the reading comprehension of Yea Forums is freaky fucking low

I just needed to hear examples you dumb motherfucker. Take soi and soi water and fuck off

yes exactly
Anton is chaos
Carson is lawful chaos
He would have let Anton go, easily. Anton is the manifestation of chaos, so Carson was dead before Anton came through the door. Anton gets his own taste of chaos at the end of the film.

Past a certain age a country without old men can be a bad thing

It's amazing most users on Yea Forums don't care or aren't even capable of realising such basic themes like this.

All fucking boomers should fucking hang

How did the Mexicans know to follow his Carla Jean and her mother to figure out where they were staying in El Paso?

It’s implied that they were both war veterans

Chigurh represents an encroaching evil (Islam, Immigration, Liberalism) and Carson represents the government or the standard way of enforcing that. He offers the every man (played by Josh Brolin) a solution to facing Chigurh if only he gives him money (taxes) and trust him to take care of it. Only he can't.

Embarrassing m8

I think I lost all hope just a few days ago when some raging retard needed the ending of Parasite explained.

close but your autism got in the way

what the...

He’s a shady private eye/fixer

Anton represents chance, not chaos. He follows strict personal rules, or laws.

Lawful chaos is the stupidest thing I've read today, but it's early

well that's progressive of them

Past a certain percentage a country without white men can be a bad thing

no kidding because youre making shit up and complicating a good movie with autistic fantasy nonsense

>lawful chaos

Everything is explained in the novel.
The movie adaptation is has very messy storytelling and cut some important things. Javier Bardem carried movie HARD.

yikes

He's right though. This isn't a run of the mill script, it's based off a book by one of the best modern day writers and probably the second greatest living anglophone writer (Pynchon obviously being the best). You expect it to have themes like that in it at the absolute minimum
