I really hate how low IQ watchers doubt Scott Ridley's universe building.

We have very little information about the engineers, much less about whether they actually got wiped out. Also, let's even assume you're right. How do you "know" it would be fascinating to see the Engineer's home? We all know low IQ film watchers love obvious conclusions. That's why you wanted to see their home. But you really have no idea what you're asking for. And how anti-climatic it could possibly be.

Too many aliens, not enough Engineers

Ridley talked on how Alien Awakening would have had Engineers come after David after discovering the massacre he did on Planet 4 and that it'd include a chase across the stars ending with a war between David's xenomorphs, the Engineers and some humans caught in the middle, one of which would be Ripley's mother.
Also the Covenant script describes the Engineer's city as 'Rome before the Fall' and it's interiors are biomechanical like the Derelict. Planet 4 was supposed to be their homeworld.

In the AvP universe, they only really make sense as groundsmen who were engineered by the Predators.
