First 2 seasons of The X Files

Soooooooooo comfy. Where did it start to go wrong? The motion picture?

everything was downhill after season 3 or 4.

also holy shit gillian anderson was so hot. its fucking sad looking at how she looks now

I noticed that too rewatching the 1st couple episodes.

X files is one of those series i wish i could forget so I could rewatch it for the first time. I'm on season 2 right now and I havent seen it in like 6 years so I guess this is the closest i'll get. pretty comfy and nostalgic

Fuck off she's only gotten hotter as she's aged.

Nah it went downhill when they relocated to LA. Not saying there wasn’t good episodes after that but the seasons as a whole were weaker and the main alien arc became too convoluted.

>Soooooooooo
why do you post like a poofter?

>holy shit
>It's a hyperbolic 90s born queer episode

mulder really was the personification of an autistic chad. dude was obsessed with aliens and paranormal and still slayed pussy in the FBI

Theres only so many urban legends you can spoof before you have to write your own material. They got a good two seasons worth of folklore and legends but once they had to try and right their own and what's worse make them one coherent story, they were dead to rights. Happy those first two seasons expounded upon some of my favorite legends in episodic form, basically the perfect medium for urban legends.

he had sex with 3 women in 30 years

Season 3 was fantastic you fucking retard

I thought it was implied he slept with several women in the fbi?

>it's a hallucinatory predatory fungus episode

I only watched up to the end of the season directly before the film several years ago, but never continued because I couldn't find the movie at that time. Should I just leave it where I stopped, or is it worth seeing through to the end?

fuck what you think faggot.

why dont you give it a shot and make up your own mind you worthless cock sucker.

The first season sucked. It got better after that.

When they summarily executed the syndicate.
That's where it jumped the shark. It was a cheap shock to write out the bad guys of the show.

he had higher priories than animal drive

I wouldnt care if he was a virgin. That zoomer is just a fucking retard.

it's great especially from Seasons 2 - 7

Seasons 1-7 were mostly awesome. Season 8 was shitty because Doggett doesn't compare to Mulder. Season 9 was lousy but I felt they did a good job of bringing closure to the series in the last two episodes.

I watched season 10 awhile back but it's depressing seeing them age, I plan on watching all the new episodes eventually

Season 7 is much more like Lexx, but also noticeably more American. It becomes kind of Rockwellian

I wish the best episodes were published as a book of short stories. Especially the scripts Vince Gilligan wrote.

The biggest detraction are those two awful films.

For me? It's Flukeman

Did Season 10 have a Halloween episode?

After season 5. When they started filming in California, instead of gloomy Canada. Sunny LA, and SoCal don't have the atmosphere for a paranormal show.

They also soft rebooted the show in S6 and ignored five years of character development, and it becomes some boring will-they-won't-they shit

Doggett wasnt a bad character besides that forced shit with his kid.

The American X-Files feel kind of like Altman's Short Cuts, or the third (?) season of Lexx. It is really strange though because L.A. doesn't feel like the right part of the country for the characters to be in.
