Nah, despite being a narcissistic psychopath, he has a few rare moment's of clarity. But because he is a narcissistic psychopath, they never really go anywhere.

the thing about the sopranos was that there were no favorites. they were all scum and unlikeable. tho, you sympathized with them on some level. only character which wasn't plain evil was bob, he was boring as fuck. if i'd had to pick my favorite characters: johnny and ralphie.

in christoper's case was that it was interesting to see mob life from youngster's perspective, who has modern lifestyle and modern values. otherwise, he was very unlikeable as a character.

It was pretty goddn obvious that Tony killed him out of exasperation and malice when he realized that Chris was endangering everyone around him including his infant daughter.

Yeah, you could see his disgust with Chrissy when he confessed he'd been using again. He'd given him more leeway than he'd give anybody else and he fucked up every time. I think it was part precautionary but also kind of exasperated anger.

I think Chrissy's problem was summed up nicely that time when he was talking to Paulie and is he was afraid that nothing good would ever happen to him and Paulie said "yeah, and nothing ever did, so what?" Paulie accepted and dealt with the reality of his day-to-day existence instead of dreaming about alternatives or hypotheticals like Chrissy did. The realist survived and the dreamer self-destructed.
