Most actors and comedians have very needy, hungry, driven personalities. A gaping emotional hole they want to fill by being loved or wanted or great.

I see a somewhat similar thing with visual artists, they tend to have kind of 'special' qualities, maybe a sort of strange beauty about them, similar to that list of celebs who were bullied. There's something in all of those celebs that you can imagine the more mundane, ordinary kids singled out and jealously mocked as weird. Artistic people are basically defined by those qualities, but as such it sets them against the kinds of roving 'pack' people who go after outliers.

Well, it's not an indicator of whether someone will never do great things or anything. Some bullies become managers. Some of the bullied use the situation to grow positively and do amazing things. Others let it be an excuse for why they're too traumatize to do anything.

But most people are just getting by, which is really all you can expect of them, and is fine.

I honestly love Taking Back Sunday and a lot of emo, including other pop emo type stuff. It's kind of the perfect suburban teenage music.
