On top of earning his trust you also need to progress to a certain point in one of the main questlines and if it's Cesar's he won't give you the quest. Although looking it up there is a way to get the remnants quest while being legion, but it's very convoluted and requires you to do things in a very specific order.

To date, I can't think of any other game where your actions and decisions have such a visible and tangible effect on the world and the way it works.
I think that's why people keep coming back to NV over FO3.
In Fallout 3, you're just a bystander watching more important people make the important story choices and the few times you get to make a choice, it's just 'le jesus christ savior' or 'le jeffrey dahmer sociopath'.
In New Vegas, you're actively changing the world for better or worse, and you get to see the effects of your actions play out in real time without the game beating you over the head about how evil/good your actions were.

I've played this shit for over 200 hours (just bought it on May after years on my wishlist) and still there are some missions and characters anons post that I've never heard of or seen before. I just had so much fun with my courier and the story sometimes it was overwhelming how much of everything there was to explore.

I haven't even played any of the damn DLC..... that's just how fun the game is for me. I feel like if I play it again I'll get hooked again.

fucks sake, ignore the satillite/big mt for now, do dead money before vegas, after raffle town and dino and stupid space ghouls, you should have enough xp for it, learn how to get all the gold and loot out without cheating, its not that hard. Result you have a perfect base, near unlimited cash, a neverending replenishable supply of basics, and some cool shit like stealth suit 1 and hologun, plus unlimited amounts of 9mm, then work your way north and hit up all the casinos, do various sub quests, buy implants and upgrades, maybe do brotherhood, or the bombers, the unlimited underwater breathing mask is worth it, then honest hearts, get best stuff, and then its up to you either house ncr, legion etc, or go back for big mountain

all 4 of the dlc are great

God damn I love this game.
My favorite weapon was the machine gun and the antimaterial rifle. My courier was high on speech, lockpicking, fixing shit and hacking computers. Also addicted to Turbo.
