So, I watch a movie or two pretty much every night of the week as I’m sure a lot of you do too. As many of you, I’m sure you struggle to pick what’s next to watch.
So, a while ago I started this thing where after I finish a movie, the next movie I pick has to have one of the actors/actresses from the movie I just watched. To clarify, not like watching a bunch of Tom Cruise movies. What I mean is I’ll watch a movie like Mission Impossible that also has Simon Pegg, then my next movie will feature Simon Pegg like Paul, then I’ll watch a movie like Bridesmaids because of Kristen Wiig, and so on and so on.
It makes things a little more exciting and end up getting a good mix up of movies. It’s even fun when you end up picking actors with smaller roles and go from there. It’s my “6 degrees of separation” technique for picking movies to watch.
Does anyone else do something like that when choosing movies?
>"avid movie watcher" >doesn't have a watchlist 100+ movies long pic related, (part of) my watchlist. shit like what OP says will keep you watching nothing but movies from the same period/country. Plus a lot of great films star actors who didn't do much else.
I only watch the Sneed episode of The Simpsons on a loop. 24/7 unfiltered Sneed. And its through a projector on my wall. 6' tall Sneed. I've burnt through twelve project bulbs already, cost me $2000 so far.

How about whoever follows the current one on the credits?
Jonathan Powell
I like that because then I won't just pick an actor because they're in a film I always watch
Luis Jones
You have to pick one, and ideally avoid someone you've done before. Following in credits might work for a while but seems like it could be a lot of looping.

This is fun until you hit an Adam Sandler movie and have to get creative to pull yourself out of the Rob Schneider/David Spade hellscape.
checked mine because of this post, watched 101 during June/August if August/Sept is how he meant it, I'm at 90 so far

I use a random letter generator and watch a movie with whichever letter I have generated.

Jesus, user. I haven't watched 130 movies since the start of 2019. That's over two movies a day, every day. Are you a NEET?
Jonathan Edwards
Im at 211 from jan 1st, some days I watch 2-5, some weeks none.
Jordan Torres
I can never watch more than one movie a day. I feel burnt out after watching a really good movie, I like time to digest it
Eli Brown
Similar for me except it's only once a decade. I summon all the hermits from Mount Kino and have a big watch party. Last time the theme was Sack Point Blank - a Jonathan Cusack retrospective
