Riddick really is underrated kino. Just finished watching the second movie and it was ridiculously cheesy and not nearly as good as pitch black, but I would be lying if I said it wasn't entertaining. Discuss Riddick, any news of more movies in the pipeline from the Diesel?
Riddick really is underrated kino...

It’s boring as fuck, and Diesel is as charismatic as the last dump I took.
Watch Dark Fury

Forgot this place only listens to an echo chamber of recited shlock to like. Ever think about forming your own opinions or appreciating campiness in movies, or is everything art house dogshit like stalker or your Warhol movies
Babylon A.D. is weirdly comfy
Chronicles > Dark Fury > Riddick > Pitch Black
Oh shit, didn't even notice it existed, cheers bro will be adding it after the 2013 one
How can one opinion be so wrong, pitch black is the best one so far, chronicle is entertaining though
This. Riddick as a main character wasn't bad, but when he wasn't the main focus of every scene, he was more interesting.
I dig it too bro. 2 movies felt like completely different genres too. They should've just went to a genocidal/conquering LC riddick for the third movie. It would've been trilogy kino
Chronicles is kino. The rest are decent flicks.
Agreed, user. Vin Diesel has the quality of knowing what role he is playing - and then playing that role. He's not the world's brightest or most charismatic man, he knows it, he dgaf, he does the job he's assigned to do.
when is the 4th one coming out?
I think its called return to Furon or Furi or whatever his planet is called?
Necromongers were great. Just came out of nowhere.
... kind of based!
They are odd movies, too good to be bad films, too bad to be good films.
First was a awesome surprise, second was crap, third was pretty decent even if all it did was go back to the old formula. Pretty good achievement for what was supposed to just be a crummy b movie.
Movies look like that?
Chronicles was a fun and ambitious movie just a poor sequel to Pitch Black.
Also, agree with this dude.
Give Babylon AD a shot, its pretty good for a mid budget sci fi. Its got Depardieu, Charlotte Rampling, Mark Strong and fucking Jerome LeBanner in it. Also a at. Also a cool most courtesy of RZA.
They tried to T2 it and fucked up.
Making "horror" movies into action is pleb as shit anyway.
Pitch Black was a bad remake of a good film: Five Came Back (1939).
I didn't even mind the change in tone much I just thought all the Furyan shit was really dumb coming from Pitch Black
>Five Came Back
Vin Diesel the film history buff
Tru dat. They shouldve Alien 3'd it tho. PB already goes a bit into religion.
Pitch Black and Chronicles are both kino. Riddick is watchable but I'll probably never rewatch it.
>tfw new riddick film approved for production
LOOKS LIKE RIDDICKINO IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS.
Pitch Black was pretty formulaic but enjoyable. Chronicles was genuinely interesting and felt like one of Diesel's DnD campaigns.
y'all zoomers be forgetting the most kino of all the franchise
4K release for Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick when?
>Vin Diesel refused to star in Fast 7 if the studio didn't greenlight Riddick because he enjoyed playing the character so much
Based
>not like the races of people and prophecy story
come on now it was great
Why can't all Stealth FPS games be as good as Escape From Butcher Bay and Dark Athena?
necromongers could have been kino
agreed
