Twilight

Watched the first several movies in the last few days, and found them to have redeeming qualities, despite the fact that I'm not the target audience. Not enough to call it good, but much better than expected.

What say you, Yea Forums?

they're shit movies. And I'm not saying this as some edgelord. I really want to like these but the dialogue is absolute shit

watched the second one drunk with friends once, we had a good time talking about it
they seemed to me to be knowingly over the top schlock that just managed to get by on the tail-end of the Harry Potter craze
that being said I remember when they were coming out and Pattinson would openly talk shit about them and I thought that was really tacky

I watched it all over again a few months ago. It was still a good watch. The first is the best one.

>I remember when they were coming out and Pattinson would openly talk shit about them and I thought that was really tacky
How did he get away with this? No one ever contradicted him at all. The fans just glossed over it. Was really odd.

They are horrible movies, but they aren't unique as horrible movies so I'm not sure why they got as much attention as they did for it. Meme I guess.

What was there to contradict?

I can agree with you that they're bad movies, but they're one of those shit movies that just have an oh so high replay value to them. That's why I can get with, not to where I truly like them, but where I can get some rise outta them for the memes! Plus you can play a drinking game everytime Bella makes on of those weird ahegao faces

I really love the first film, so many possibilities and a interesting story that were completely destroyed in the next movies.
That scene of Victoria going down the stairs is so remarkable, the atmosphere, nature...

must've had no recourse, wasn't part of his original contract
even still I feel like he must've been reprimanded by the studio at some point

met some twink on grindr and went around to his house. he had shitloads of twilight dolls and after i fucked him on his bed which had a twilight bed cover i watched the first one with him. it was okay

some of my favorite comedies. I like to get high and fall asleep watching them. Bella is literally the shittiest person ever.

They also tried to take into account the fact that the vampires' formative years would have taken place way in the past, where social mores etc. were different. They could have done more with that, but Edward still showed that when you are desired by the girl, you can literally be as old-fashioned as you want, and it will only increase the desire.

that sounds disturbing
but you're a demented homo so who knows what bangs around in your mind

Doubt they cared, fans would go see the movies no matter what and everyone knew the books/movies were terrible. Him saying amusingly negative things about them just got him more attention and more interviews, especially since Kristin Stewart has literally no charisma and is obviously worthless for such things.

I just re-watched the Potter movies for the brainless optimism and simple storylines. Maybe I should watch these next to escape this gay earth for some hours.

Wasted potential the series

It should have ended with Jacob and Bella

It should end as a tragedy. But I don't blame the author because it's a series for teenage girls, I should keep that in my head while watching/reading it.

Would love a Carlisle prequel.
Make it gayer than Interview With A Vampire

Haven't finished it yet, but already Jacob is getting a much fairer treatment than the scorned lover normally gets, to the point where them ending up together is actually a possibility.

The whole draw of the movies was how much teen girls wanted to fuck him, its not like they could fire him.

This.
Bella is truly the most selfish asshole on the planet. She shows up to forks and literally ruins everything and doesn't apologize once. She's awful to everyone that actually cares about her. Only a woman could have wrote something like this

It's a depressed girl who found the strongest drug in the world (Edward) and love. I don't blame her, she's fucked and found something really destructive.

He did say he wanted to help people and didn't really care if he'd be damned.
Perhaps there would be other things he would do, very passionately, without caring if he'd be damned for them.
Neither Pitt nor Cruise were good btw, Carlisle, for the little screen time he has, has a better presence and more personality. He could actually pull of the gay.

Yeah but she was destructive to him and his loving family as well. Depression and love doesn't excuse how awful of a person she was.

Teenagers are awful, everything she passed, saw and tried just made it worse.
