ITT: Almost kino
ITT: Almost kino
The final shoot out alone makes it kino
Enemy at the gates is kino though, nothing 'almost' about it.
soviet stereotypes meets schmaltzy sugary hollywood
>that bare female ass
Enemy at the Gates is pretty crap.
the historical inaccuracies in this were awful. Soviets had more tanks/planes than germans at Stalingrad
are there any good eastern front kinos?
I like this movie quite a bit. I think one of the reasons it got slammed was because it had just come off the back of SPR, and people were probably expecting a gritty eastern front movie to go with their gritty western front movie. Enemy at the Gates is almost like a dark fairytale, or something; but I kind of like the feel of it. I like how it didn't puss out at taking shots at communism, as well (which angered a bunch of socialist critics that felt the movie was too soft on the Nazis, even though the Nazi bad-guy of the movie garroted a child).
Incidentally, I loved Ed Harris' coat in this movie so much that I've since bought the coat it was based on.
It was better than that other Stalingrad movie that the Russians made a few years ago
REAL STALINGRAD kino was based .
Come and See
west virginia
>get to see prime racheal weiss ass
>jude law vs ed harris
>ron pearlman cameo
>somehow not pure kino
>so much that I've since bought the coat it was based on.
Based .. Thumbs
Stalingrad (90s movie not the recent russian one)
HEY DONNIE
People overstate the inaccuracies of the movie; they're only really pronounced in the first ten fifteen of the film, and it serves to make the Russians more sympathetic as an underdog, something that is perhaps useful for a western audience that recently witnessed the collapse of the Iron Curtain. They hardly ruin the movie, in my opinion. Incidentally, the Germans DID initially outnumber the Soviets at Stalingrad, which is what you see in the beginning.
the volga river scene is definitely kino, the movie drops off pretty hard after that
What was the coat?
>anglos acting as russians
when will it end
Why almost? Enemy at the gates is pretty great comrade.
>I've since bought the coat it was based on
autism
Some Films were Based stop it . Pick it apart but ENJoy the Fillum
The fountain scene is sniper kino too.
I've got an exact replica of the jacket Marlon brando wore in on the waterfront, down to the colour.
Post your jacket kinos
I was arguing with OP's notion that the film was not great, its one of my favs
why didnt jude law become a huge star
he was in a bunch of kino and is super handsome
The sniper scenes could have had more tension and been directed better. The hollywood writing shit is cringe. Winonas ass is kino. Ed harris is kino.
hes gay and balding
he is a huge star...what world do you live in.
eh, not really
sure its an enjoyable movie but it doesn't approach kino levels
equality is a lie.
'there will always be those rich in love, and those poor in love'
Was Danilov a incel?
So is your life, I bet.
>what world do you live in
Jude Law was an absolute miscast.
maybe if it wasn't more of a dumb love triangle romance than a war film and everyone didn't have different accents
>movie about the soviets
>everyone is played by bongs and speaking english
I just couldn't get into it
Bongs playing soviets is a mark of kino, just look at chernobyl and the death of stalin.
the sex scene was max cringe
post the coat then
dead meme
what about this one
more like 100% kino. it's even better than braveheart in some respects.
That shushed fugg scene with tania hnnnggg
"there will always be rich and poor" is such an amazing concept and epic final talk that it took this movie for me to see that socialism is impossible just for that speech alone
Will always be in my top 10 "change my mind" movies.
post the coat please
WEST VIRGINIA
>tfw no sniper gf to silently fug each night unprotected because each day might be our last but still have to hold a hand over her mouth because we fear commissar more than death itself
