That's because it's only 8 episodes per season that drop all at once. Everybody had already seen it and said all there was to say about it within a week or two of it coming out. Of course there's no more hype for it now, there wont be until the trailer for the next season comes out.

Season 1 was the only good season. The Goonies esque main characters consists of Mike Lucas and Dustin were the soul of the show, it didn’t work when they reduced them into side characters or separated them. Mike was literally the POV in the first season and with the later seasons it just fell apart without him. I don’t think the writers understand what made season 1 worked

I only started this a few weeks back and just finished Season 2 yesterday.

Season 1 was pretty well done. I liked the character writing and the conspiracy theorist angles.
Season 2 wasn't nearly as well done, but it was much more fun. I enjoyed watching more than I did Season 1, even if it was objectively worse writing, story and cinematic wise. Why the fuck wouldn't the feds search the two teens before showing them around the top secret facility and monologue-ing at them. I get the monologue-ing at them part but you'd think they'd look in their fucking bags. It also makes no sense why the cop jumped down into the vine tunnel thing without a ladder or any means to get back up and without telling anyone he was doing it.

I'm gonna start Season 3 sometime this week.

The dialogue is incredibly inauthentic.

If this was a show about actual 13-year olds boys in 1980's Indiana, every conversation would revolve around use of the word "gay" to describe anything and everything.

None of the seasons after 1 are anywhere near as good, but they're not bad and still very entertaining, which is what a tv show is supposed to be.

If you like Mike from season 1 you should watch The Goldfinch. It has the actor who plays Mike in a small part who plays a very unique and strange character and most of his fans would cream from watching it

The other seasons are trash because they're hacks and can't write anything outside the original formula of everyone being isolated from each other and no one having the full picture of what was going on. Works fine in the first season, comes across as contrived and dumb in the second and third.

Only season 1 is good. It has good mystery and every character has porpouse for being involved in the plot. Season 2 tried to capitalize on that and do it bigger but that didn´t really work out because it was derivative as fuck. Season 3 is not as derivative as season 2 but focusing on the nightflyer instead of on the upside dow was clearly a mistake.

Some characters are still fun to watch though but Dark really stole the plot spotlight from Stranger Things.
