If we exclude the anime trash, I'd say Ebirah, Horror of the Deep, All Monsters Attack and Godzilla VS Hedorah stand out as the worst offenders.

If we don't count 1998, I'd probably say those, but swap out Hedorah for Gigan, the suit literally falls apart

No, but it was in Jame's Rolfes reviews of it years ago. The arms are splitting at the seams and the material is tattered. His tail also falls off at the tip in Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla as well, but not many people notice. It wasn't really the suit falling apart that make it bad, but they also fuck up the sound effect for the roar, and the effects are pretty bad, even for the day.

the most recent godzilla movie was complete dogshit. Like probably the worst godzilla movie ever. Stupid characters, overused plot devices, dumb dialogue that was trying to be like a marvel movie, so much obvious greenscreen sets, about 5 fake deaths (including one from fucking godzilla), and somehow they made 90% of the giant animals boring. It felt like a kids movie most of the time, but then you had action sequences with humans and real violence and horrible deaths that felt like an adult movie. And the first movie certainly wasn't aimed at children so why did the audience change for the second movie? Just really really bad

1998 sucks not just as a Godzilla movie but as a movie in general
Even leaving aside the terrible interpretation of Godzilla as a tranny iguana, the characters all suck and the big action scenes are pretty much just cribbed from other big movies of the 80s and 90s like JP and Aliens

Kong deserves to win because his movie is the only one that isn't boring and shit.

Nah I would say it's the worst of the live action films besides Revenge.
Horrible suits, horrible sets (besides the castle), horrible "comedy".

The octopus attack & iceberg break out are the only good scenes.

Nah its comfy AF and the tropical adventure feel & setting was a nice change of pace.

Nope its great. Only flaw is Godzilla flying & his suit being weak. The kid is shockingly not notably annoying. The hippies are actually used kinda well.
Hedorah is a fantastic genuinely disturbing villain.

The characters are fine.
Who fucking cares if the baby Godzillas are JP like.
The sub battle is phenomenal, the score is beautiful, the CGI for the adult Godzilla is still decent, the opening credits are epic AF.
