Nah it's way better than that as it's from the original frame, so you are seeing things the original 4:3 show could have never displayed. On the flipside, the 16:9 loses things from the 4:3 version because the show was made for standard televisions.

I think technically the DBZ crop involved a larger frame than before because Funimation was able to obtain an earlier, less zoomed in copy of the film for the "remaster" they performed and so they added some width to the image that isn't in any other version, but of course you also ended up with way too many heads being cut off.

It’s cause so MANY of them want to move to NYC and they think it’s going to be like Friends. Really, I was born in ‘96, and so many of my girl friends liked Friends for this very reason and had dreams of getting an apartment in NYC.

They won’t like Seinfeld for this very reason. Seinfeld, while maybe not as close to living in NYC as it used to be, still kind of captures how cynical, nihilistic, and narcissistic the city can make you.

Hell, there’s a reason Jerry, George, and even Kramer keep getting laid. The City has a huge female to male ratio. There’s a reason why so many women who are in media in NYC that act like shrill harpies, they aren’t getting laid and their choices for men are very limited. (Remember that tweet where a woman said the choice a girl in her 20’s has is like a porn addict, sociopathic gymbro, etc., yeah, NYC).

So yeah, women want their romanticized version of NYC where they date handsome, funny guys, not realistic one where their choices are frumpy, neurotic, balding Jewish men.
