It sucked because the teens and it was too dark but the Predator and Alien parts were great

Predator bounty hunter traveling through space listening for signs of a Xenomorph on the space-trucker equivalent of the CB radio, sometimes with a crew, other times alone. He, or they, visit exotic alien planets and kill them for sport. Not saving the creatures affected by them, but just killing one for the trophy skull and heading out.

With the different planets, you can get creative with the Xeno/Alien hybrids and change up the scenery with fantastical alien societies.

Predalien was hiding the whole movie. Before the final fight he barely had any screen time other than quick hints and quick cut outs.

Shitty thing is with the predator tech, it already seems really primal. So 500 years back for them, would likely have all the same gear to hunt with.
Maybe just without the plasma cannon.

The only way the AvP franchise works, is setting it up like the games/comics. Space exploration, possibly short stories featuring encounters between the 3 races in the vastness of space, maybe one arch you tell a tale of a hunter, and another, one of a survivor, an maybe even one from the alien's perspective.

The original Dark Horse comic came from one of the many failed attempts to make a sequel to Aliens.
It uses the script, and a lot of the concept art from pre production. Very camronesque.
