New poster.
Runtime is 210 minutes. Will it be kino or not?

>the irishman
>none of them are irish

>de-aging technology
No

>3 hours 30 minutes
wtf? It will be an unedited slog won't it?

For some unfathomable reason, Netflix brings out the most mediocre garbage out of all their collaborators so no, 96% it's not going to be a kino

Is it only being released on netflix or is it getting a theater release too?

who dis monkey qt?

I've read the whole script and even I don't know. It looks great though and Pacino's never disappointing.

Limited theatrical release

>Netflix
>kino

link?

Robert De Niro is part irish

Ya. Netflix editors are like "we already have this footage of these great actors, why let it go to waste?!"
Yikers.

I don't think so, Scorsese's films are fast paced even if they are long imo. This could be his Once Upon a Time in America. The story should take place over several decades.
Yes, almost one month in the US.
Is the script good? I hope based Pesci has a good role.

How does De Niro keep getting casted while he looks like such a try hard faggot

>Scorsese
>kino
I think he might do it. It's only on Netflix because the budget is so high that Paramount had to let it go.

um they are going for the '80s mob movie' theme. So pacine, de niro and pesci are there.

Connections. He must be a secret jew, I swear. He was never a good actor yet great directors keep casting him. Especially Scorsese.

Attached: 1556934121605.jpg (700x700, 209K)

He was great in Goodfellas and Casino, i understand that you don't like his politics but he is pretty good.

No, we know it won't, post prime deniro, pesci, pacino was always shit

They shoulda just let go and get new talented actors

>Is the script good? I hope based Pesci has a good role.
It opens with Sheeran in WWII gunning down Nazis. Pesci plays Bufalino who becomes agitated when Kennedy shuts down some business operations in Cuba. Sheeran becomes affiliated with Bufalino, making a promise never to "dine alone" or something and eventually he's introduced to Jimmy Hoffa of the Teamsters. The weak point in the script for me is that Hoffa doesn't respond coherently in court or toward reporters, he's quickly put into prison while Sheeran and others oversee the Teamsters. I would say it's mainly about Hoffa trying to get back to his former position but the friendship between him and Sheeran also doesn't seem to be well developed.

half the movie is probably about kennedy assassination

What about Keitel? He wasn't even in the trailer.

I think the truck scene in the trailer depicts the transport of weapons to Texas.

Rent free

I'm not sure who he's playing even, I read the script years ago but I believe he's another Teamster.

>CGI'd old men
Yeah I'll pass

It says Angelo Bruno on imdb

>This could be his Once Upon a Time in America
That would be incredible but that film started with kids, here DeNiro goes from about 20 - 80 years old in three hours.

okay, confused him with Provenzano.

Attached: Tony Provanzano.jpg (700x428, 31K)

Scorcese is a one trick pony and all his films are absolute shit

I wouldn't be surprised if it was DeNiro's best role... Pitt's work in that boring Benjamin Button movie was great.

I meant more of a tone of Once Upon a Time in America. Old people looking back at what they have done. Kind of nostalgic, melancholic tone and epic scope.
Silence and Goodfellas sure are the same film

>those lights
Is this supposed to be present day? Those lights didnt exist in the 80s.

Did they finally fix the uncanny valley problem?

they look like muppets lol

>Pacino is never disappointing
Say hello to my chocolate friend

de niro is 75% irish

Nothing over a 100 minutes is kino.

>the Guest sees more in one hour than the Host sees in a whole year

This. He can' t act at all. Watching him getting shot point blank in the Joker was extremely satisfying.

I think i will trust people who lived in the 70s/80s more than you.

Al Pacino, I expect to be great.
De Niro has been Bruce Willis tier "doesn't give a shit" for a decade at least.
If it's not kino, it's because he's gonna bring it down.

It was nice to see Pacino in OUATIH. Haven't seen him in a good movie acting like a non-self parody for a while.

I still think that Pesci will give the best performance.

Why are the spaghettiwashing irish culture?

Scorsese's been casting Deniro for 40 years dude

That's unironically a great scene

Isn’t it “Chocolate Blend”

How many Oscars?

3. 1 for Scorsese. 1 for Pacino. 1 for the CGI.

None, the film doesn't have enough black people. Scorsese should be cancelled.

this again? It didn't work the last time, it's not gonna work this time around either. zoomers don't give a shit about these actors anymore

A Martin Scorsese picture
How do they expect me to look at a picture for 210 minutes?

I'm Italian and we are born with an innate hate for Jews and the Irish so I won't be seeing this movie.

It's hard to say since the dialogue isn't that memorable, it won't be quoted like The Departed was, unless it's been revised. It's more of a mood film than a radio show.

Kek, +1

It has Arabs.

>a bunch of wash ups in a movie

No thank you.

So he's a mutt just like his children.

Are you talking about jews? You know that someone's religion doesn't change their ethnicity right?
An Italian jewish person isn't magically arabic

exactly

The film is about a mafia hitman. As far as I'm aware, there aren't many scenes of them cleaning clothes or dishes. Someone who's read the script can perhaps confirm?

They wash their hands after they whack someone you dummy. Don't want blood on your gabagool

I love when Trump supporters try to trash De Niro as an actor. They always have no clue what they're talking about.

Why the Irish?

Ah no worries friendo. Is very funny I laugh ha ha

Most people/societies dislike domestic terrorism

Did not know Joe pesci was still alive. Is he one of the guys on that poster? Why don't they just kill old people? Jesus.

The Wolf of Wall Street is 3 hours and it felt like half that length.

I'm still waiting for Scorsese to stop being a fucknut and release the 4 hour cut

They are degenerate low lives with no morals or loyalty. They all are very greedy and selfish like leprechauns. They would sell their own mother for a shot of alcohol. Never trust or respect an irish rat.
Did you know the Irish are actually more closely related to Blacks than White people? They have the same head shape and brain as blacks.

He looked good in the trailer.

Attached: 0b4.jpg (453x576, 39K)

God they look 80 insane

>he didn’t watch Beasts of No Nation

I've not seen Joe Pesci since the 90s, what does he look like now?

based marty DABBING on adhd zoomers and cucksoy pajeet capeshit wormy femboy creaturas. itt: what i just said
p.s. kino is back on the menu

Present day is something like 1999-2001 in the film

you might be demonstrating a failure to show appreciation

>Did you know the Irish are actually more closely related to Blacks than White people? They have the same head shape and brain as blacks.

enjoying your first week on /pol/? you fucking retard lmao

he will be the billy batts of this film

Imagine the geriatric extras they use as stand-ins for decaying bodies and terminally ill patients

Have sex

Shut up Luigi

>pacino good guy
>de niro bad guy

Reviews will leak from the NYFF in a little over a week from today.

like an old Joe Pesci

>you fucking retard
refute his premise.

Limited run to qualify for the Oscars

He's not that great of an actor. He's only good when he's playing a goomba or some disrespectful/violent criminal/psycho, which is basically his whole filmography. And he's not funny, which makes all the comedies he squeezed out in the last 15 years unwatchable. Whenever he tries something really out there he falls on his face (The Mission, Awakenings, Frankenstein, etc.).

Based Marty
You might be demonstrating a failure to show appreciation.

Does this mean Scorsese and Spielberg are going to clash?
Spielberg might have more power, but I think most people accept Scorsese as the better director/filmmaker.
Will be interesting

Spielberg is a fucking hypocrite he was talking shit about Netflix yet promoted Apple +. Dumb kike. Scorsese wanted a wide release but not many cinemas were willing to play it. Still it has one month window in cinemas.

Jews always charge rent. What are you on about?

It's chock full of symbolism.

Attached: 714F5GrOpdL._SY741_.jpg (493x741, 77K)

It felt like 6 hours. Watching people make degenerates of themselves gets boring fast

Why is he sitting next to a converse?

>Runtime is 210 minutes
Intriguing.

Like in real life.

It will get good reviews because this is the last time that all 3 of them + Scorsese are working together

I liked him in Awakenings and The Mission, personally. His best “normal person” role was probably The Deer Hunter.

i watched apocalypse now redux like 15 times. for some reason i love rewatching long movies

getting the amadeus style vibes from this one

>He didn't pass the pleb filter
user...

show me famous irish people with that head shape right now.

Attached: 171617_heroa.jpg (620x325, 32K)

What!? Track lighting that looks identical to those fixtures was absolutely everywhere back then...

Creative freedom. That's the difference between Netflix and other studios/production companies. Netflix don't give notes, especially not to guys like Scorsese. Hold filmmaker on a leash and you get The Deer Hunter. Let a filmmaker run wild and you get Heaven's Gate.

a meme response, as expected :)

Check out Satantango and The Turin Horse. Those films are actually good

Incorrect. The patent for the lights in op's picture was filed in July 1996. The lights only started becoming a common fixture a couple of years later.
t. light historian

Apocalypse Now is also good. Also Werckmeister Harmonies is the best Tarr.

rumor has it Marty literally didn't stopped filming kek. They even thought about releasing more than 1 movie.

>Netflix editors
It's his usual editor and him. No Netflix editors you moron.

...

But that's bullshit user, netflix doesn't allow certain things(explicit racism, sexism, etc) and some others are encouraged(diversity).

I think is more of a case of netlix not understanding shit about films or even television, unlike the older studios.

Not true. Scorsese had little money so netflix steam rolled him and demanded that their editors be allowed to hack up his footage

>explicit racism
No major production company knowingly allows this as it's bad for business.
>sexism
I mean, Bill Burr's special literally came out less than 2 weeks ago...

Attached: the netflixman.jpg (634x934, 99K)

hating Trump doesn't cancel your skills despite polpular opinion.

Are you retarded? Netflix paid for everything despite the cost being almost 200 million, they didn't hack up his footage. He had total creative control.

Scorsese wanted the film to end with a dance montage but was denied. He also wanted Leonardo DiCaprio to play one of the main characters but netflix refused to lower their producers' fees so that Leo could be paid properly.

Leo plays Kennedy in the film.

>They are degenerate low lives with no morals or loyalt
unlike the upstanding, totally moral italian mob I guess? which also went to irish gangs like the westies for contract killings.

>Scorsese wanted the film to end with a dance montage but was denied.
This sounds plausible, some of his favourite films are musicals like The Red Shoes

He looks good here, but i'm worried about the deaging effects.

Attached: 1544915697756.jpg (999x960, 243K)

Joe Pesci's face on the poster looks so fucking weird and almost fake

>3.5hrs....

More Scorsese bloat plot

Thankfully this will probably be Scorsese’s last film before he dies.

hot tip

Attached: tumblr_o94brpT85k1rfd7lko1_500.gif (450x302, 1.95M)

Name 3 films where he did this.
Killers of the Flower Moon soon.

no, he's only irish for slightly more than 25%
his four grandparents were respectively italian, irish, german and a mix of various european ancestry

I'm not seeing a strong female lead here

dropped

>t. light historian
>lying on the internet
Who does this, honestly?

Funny people, ya know.
And dildos

Funny that you assume that anything you don't know must automatically be a lie. I've written three books on the subject. What have you done with your life?
