>film stars jesse eisenberg, andrew garfield and justin timberlake
>it's one of the best films of the 21st century and one of the best films ever made
how?
Film stars jesse eisenberg, andrew garfield and justin timberlake
Because it was made by the best director of the 21st century
villeneuve didn't direct the social network
It's pretty good but not that great.
None of those are the best directors of this century.
Refn didn’t make social network
>It's pretty good but not that great.
who are you trying to fool
Well it's certainly not a masterpiece and it's not even the best Fincher film this century.
>Well it's certainly not a masterpiece
again, who is it that you're trying to fool
>>it's one of the best films of the 21st century and one of the best films ever made
hope people are memeing, this movie was garbage
>hope people are memeing, this movie was garbage
another trickster has entered the thread
You have a very low bar of what masterpiece is then.
youtube.com
when a sequence like this exists in a film, the film is a masterpiece.
MARK
>one sequence makes the film a masterpiece
Great logic there.
MARK!!!!
MOOT
It's another generic biopic about current trending topic/person. Not really worth the time.
Aaron Sorkin
slight puffery in my post but i will explain in more detail; the scene opens up the entire film right after mark's breakup. the scene does several very important things that are meant to be carried throughout the film: it establishes mark; who he is, what he does, what he's like as a person; further it establishes the tone of the film, dark yet driven and methodical; we also get our first glimpse at the OST which is intricately crafted by reznor and atticus, they capture the "cyberpunk" ambience to a tee; we are introduced to several minor characters but also the other major character saverin who is again established perfectly as the meekish/skepitcal yet professional peer of mark which again is all carried throughout the film.
im generally not keen on biopics myself but sorkin seems to approach them quite creatively (see Steve Jobs and The Social Network). he creates fiction out of real events.
Yes, sure i agree. I still don't think it's a masterpiece and yes this is the best scene in the film. The rest of the film is very good.
Aaron Sorkin with his narcissism tamed by a proper director. That's why Social Network and Steve Jobs are kinos and Molly's Game is unwatchable garbage 1/10
in my opinion, the best sequence is this montage but yes the opening sequence is amazing
youtube.com
why didnt we get something this good about Bill Gates?
>Eisenjew, Jewfield and Timberjew
whoa baby how can one movie be so BASED AND REDPILLED AMIRITE FELLOW (((4CHANNELERS)))?!
was he as sociopathic as mark? only anti-socials are interesting to learn about since it has that forbidden dynamic of the human psyche
I would watch it, but I hate Eisenberg far too much.
my point was that these people should be a recipe for a disaster and yet the film was a masterpiece. simply excellent direction
Fincher does good montages, even in Mindhunter the Fly Like an Eagle montage was really good.
Isn't he directing the next film he has written? I agree that he should leave directing to other people. Molly's Game was mediocre at best.
Why is this entire film make it seem like a girl was the driving force behind Facebook when Zuckerberg married his high school Asian sweatheart?
while the film depicts real events, it is a work of fiction. this was just some sort of emotional dramatic core for the audience to relate with
Priscilla Chan isn't a particularly interesting individual, so it was better that she be written out of the film. Plus, most viewers don't respond well to docudramas that are more doc than drama.
Did anyone say the film was redpilled? Good movies don't have to be political.
>most viewers don't respond well to docudramas that are more doc than drama
exactly. if one wants to create a 100% accurate account of events, one should create a documentary. sorkin took the story in an appropriate place which wasn't quite fiction yet wasn't quite fact either. a dramatic underscoring of history
Because they’re all actually good actors.
it was an expertly made movie that lacked any sort of point. there's nothing to take away from it.
>that lacked any sort of point
>there's nothing to take away from it.
im not entirely confident that you have any idea of what you're talking about. can't you recognise basic themes of a film when they're presented in such an obvious fashion as they were in the social network?
im glad you reminded me exactly why Yea Forums is a terrible board, people like you clutter it up with inane opinions and criticism such as this. im not gonna waste my time responding to you after this, you're clearly retarded
I like you. I’m not the guy you’re replying to, but I just wanted to say that. I felt that the song they chose for the credits summed up the movie’s theme perfectly.
Main character is intensely unlikable. Hard movie to enjoy.
>dude if youre an asshole and isolate your friends people will hate you
holy fuck this is complex
just kill yourself you fucking pseud
I can't think of any flaws but I dont think it's a masterpiece. Solid 8.
Lmao you got mindfucked so hard
this
everything he's made in the 21st century except panic room is kino
This scene is peak craftsmanship. There's been no other scene in recent movies so deftly handled.
youtube.com
*ahem*
>DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THAT GIRL
I related to this on way too many levels
> It's a billionaire's retcon film.
Why is this shit still aloud?
>aloud
its a shit film, with a fake story and a lead actor you want to punch. i was bored in the first scene. get some taste
It's pure kino and endlessly re-watchable, the best thing Sorkin, Fincher and Reznor have ever done but it peaks at the Harvard scenes
Rewatching social network when you're aware of all the Fincher tricks is so weird
>club scene didn't actually have any music, he just got the actors to yell on a silent set
>cold breath at the Jewish fraternity party is CGI, really noticeable when you're aware of it
>the twins obviously
It was good movie, probably one of the best of the 2010s.
But of all time? Get the fuck out of here.
O.K can anyone tell me why this is considered great? Cross cutting between different plot points is something even a mediocre director like Nolan can do.
>mediocre director like Nolan
Based
Malick didn't direct The Social Network
Based and Malickpilled
what can i say? people love sci fi
This movie is some sort of CIA psyop thing.
cringe
>>it's one of the best films of the 21st century and one of the best films ever made
get fucked.
its shit.
screencapped for my cringe folder
Fincher + Sorkin
and Timberlake has always been a good actor
I only saw a bit of this and it was boring. Zuck isn't an intelligent or charismatic man, he just got a good idea and had the means to complete it. don't know why they made a movie about him.
Low iq
Marvel faggot
> Zuck isn't an intelligent or charismatic man
The movie makes no attempts to hide this. In the opening scene.
Film was made by its soundtrack. Would've been totally forgotten if not for that masterpiece Hand Covers Bruise playing in the beginning, and during Eduardo's sacking.
Based
Fincher is a kino director,
Wheres the Anti-Social Network starring Moot, Cripplekike and Brenton Tarran?
