Why do numales love le reactions so much? Need for validation?

Your mother didn't breastfeed you, son?

having friends is important desu

No, but I've had people be indifferent to some or dislike them.

>Watching movies with people
Fucking pleb, I would never.

No because I don't force my taste on others and don't care if they don't react to the "important parts".

Yeah, I then ignore them and get into the movie, then when they try to talk to me I ignore them some more and keep it up until they get it. Show and tell is important and those who don't respect that need to know.

>showing people movies and expecting them to watch them
The favor they're doing for you is putting up with your presence for the duration of the movie. Enjoy their company and watch your movie, retard

>people agreeing to watch a movie with others
>tyrannically forcing one's tastes onto others
>those are both the same activities
You'd have a point if they kidnapped a stranger of the street and made them watch The Last Jedi at gunpoint.

I don't even have any other people in my life to share interests with

Every single person ive showed Lo to fucking hated it and refused to finish it. I dont adore it but I think its worth the watch.

Having a gf general.

It's not forcing but people like OP expect a certain reaction.

>I'm going to tell you a story....THROUGH SONG!

No, Im not an autistic faggot that can only relate to people/reality though fiction.
kills your selves, no this is not a joke. im being real. you are holding back humanity. kill your selves.

I guess I would encourage others to watch movies I liked but I have never actually sat down with them to watch the movie to gauge their reaction. I can't imagine why I would do that. I guess I can understand the desperate need to fit in but fail to see how sharing in a common emotional connection to a film would do that on anything more than a fleeting and superficial level. Just having people in my life willing to watch a film with me would be so much more fulfilling than anything I currently have, I would just be grateful for the experience.

A friendly person tries to share joy with others. Sounds like OP needs better friends. We aren't here to check phones every five seconds. Yeah, I'm on a PC, yet I'm being social, such as it is.

>family agrees to watch movie together
>you're literally the only person not glued to your phone the whole time, nor falling asleep in the second act

I showed Duck Soup to some of my friends once and they said it was "too jewish"

>i'm going to a tv forum to encourage strife!
>heh no one suspects that I'm Jewish

I like my friends to enjoy the movies I enjoy. That said, most of the time I show them movies they are staring at their phones and it makes me furious but I don’t react.

Well, they are kinda right.

Better than having them want to show you something on their phone 2bh.

you need to know your audience faggot

>tv forum
go back reddit nigger

Yeah but different people like different things. Just because someone doesn't share your interests doesn't mean you can't be friends.

I'm not sorry for forcing my friends to sit through entry level kino like Once Upon a Time in the West, Stalker, Ran and Barry Lyndon. They'll see the kino if it has to be beaten into them.

These lines seem contradictory.

Yes. When I was twelve.

I have a brother in law who does this shit. He will turn off the tv people are watching to play a “hilarious” video he saw on Facebook. I either walk out of the room or just stare at my phone while he laughs like a child and anxiously scans everyone’s face after a “funny” part. It’s cringe as fuck cuz nobody laughs and he just keeps plowing forward.

I mean in his defense, everyone has the pleasure of raising his kids and bailing him out of his next colossal fuck up so the least so least we can all do is continue to baby a 36 year old man like a fucking toddler.

This was a video he thought we JUST HAD TO SEE LOL HAHA!!!!!!

Yikes to liking the fattest and most racist comic.

(OP Happened all the time. For a time I lived alone, and watched over 1000 rentals alone. That feeling of your excitement to share a cool movie. People sit down to watch, then have the attention span of a flee, talk during the movie, get up walk around, end up doing something else. It feels like something is lost, that your guests became willfully ignorant of an experience that gave you so much joy.

But some of the best experience is watching a movie everyone has seen, and just commentating during it for a good laugh,

>your a JEW for not being obsessed with media and not seeing reality though the prism of fiction!
Enjoying entertainment and being obsessed with fiction is not the same faggot. grow the fuck up.

Attached: 1456_NPC.png (636x773, 32K)

I can't understand why anyone would be so obnoxious that they'd turn off the TV for something like that. I want to show people funny videos but I'm polite enough to wait for them to be done with the TV, which means that I never do it because they're always watching TV so I never bring it up so they don't even know I have videos I want to show them and thus this whole situation is completely avoided. Very rarely I link my mother a video on Facebook, which I only use to talk to her, and she replies with a happy dog sticker.

>literally just start screaming about jews out of nowhere
>not a brainwashed militant lunatic, I swear

I find that friends who don't share your interests inevitably end up being "lesser" friends, though.

Watch out, he's going to respond to all your posts at once with a picture of a Jew! That'll really win the argument!

He once did this to show his mother, who raises his children so he can work night shift in an industry where jobs grow on trees and in every shift imaginable for someone with his experience, the “Dick in a Box” Justin Timberlake video. She is almost 70 years old. My wife (his sister), I, and his mother all stood around his phone uncomfortable as shit, while he laughed at every “funny” part and scanned from face to face waiting for us to react that way he wanted. I got about 45 seconds in and said “This is really weird watching this with your mom dude and I don’t think she is comfortable”. He stoped but she is so enabling him of all his bullshit she would never have said anything herself. It was obvious she was extremely uncomfortable.

OP I didn’t mean to get crappy with you. It just reminded me of my brother in law and I’m already irritated because I’m going to have to sit down with him and my wife this weekend and explain that children need to go to the dentist. We will probably have to take them and may even have to pay even though he makes far more money than we do. But if we want them to go we have to offer.

I do like to have people like what I’m connected with. We all do. It’s natural. I have learned to not take it personally when people just don’t click it what I do.

Don't worry about it man, I can certainly understand why you are in a bad mood if you have to deal with someone like that. Does not sound like a good time, and I'd imagine the fact that you're an in-law puts you in a more difficult position since anything you say could be considered butting into family matters.

Every movie that I've put on for my parents. Mom either falls asleep or goes to bed and Dad has the attention span of a goldfish and honestly feels lukewarm on every movie unless they explicitly appeal to his environmentalist sensibilities. Then it's a 10/10 regardless of anything else the movie did poorly. It actually hurts my feelings that I haven't been able to pass on my passion for movies to them, no matter how hard I've tried.

What are some films your father liked? Just out of curiosity.

Kek does he like on deadly ground?

>when someone wants to show you a movie and you realize its shit 5 minutes in but you can't turn it off and leave
white_people_face.jpg

Yea but its whatever

Avatar is like his favorite movie, not even kidding. So much so that he has a vendetta against The Hurt Locker because it won Best Picture over Avatar, and because it's... "a yank pro-war movie"? I've explained to him many times that

>The Hurt Locker is by no fucking means a patriotic pro war film
>In the third act of Avatar it objectively turns into a dumb pro-war yank action movie, the very thing that he falsely remembers the hurt locker for being
>Avatar is directed by James Cameron, a man that makes his bread and butter by making dumb yank action movies like Aliens and Terminator 2
>He hasn't seen either of these films in ten years and likes Avatar for reasons independent from the movie and dislikes The Hurt Locker for reasons independent from the movie
>he is one of few people left on the planet that still gives a shit about Avatar, while the rest of the world moved on as the technology it advanced became commonplace

He honestly just ignores me when I explain all of this to him, because he never likes admitting that he's wrong about something.

With my girlfriend all the time, Part of it also has to do with the fact that we always talk over movies and make jokes though, so I don't know. Maybe we were just never meant to truly appreciate art together.

>Finally get a girl home
>Ask what movie she wants to watch
>Anything is fine
>Go for Shawshank Redemption, my favorite movie
>About 30 minutes in she gets bored and looks at her phone
>Turns out she wanted to chill, not watch a movie
>Call her slut, she probably fucked a lot of people the same way
>Turns out she had an STD because a friend of mine got with her and got herpes
Sometimes being on your own is a good thing.

It’s not like people need to be reminded but this thread certainly makes it clear that a lot of Yea Forums is a bunch of friendless losers who can’t imagine what it’s like to have people over and sometimes watching a movie together.

Yeah showed my brother The Fountain and he started laughing when the black guy came in for like a scene. He didn’t stop so I turned off the movie

I remember seeing Eraserhead in high school and it was the first film to really make think that films can be art (yeah I had not seen a lot of movies back then) and it blew me away. Tried to show it to my two best friends and I remember one of them saying "why is he doing that?? what does this mean??" at the start when the troll is pulling a lever or something. They left like half way through the movie. I never spoke to them after that. How stupid and childish can you be that you cannot watch something just because its not explained to you right away.

That's disappointing, so he's not even consistent about his environmentalism, he's one of those people who made up his mind based on vague memories and refuses to change it under any circumstances. Very tedious to deal with. Although to your last point I will say that clearly some people in Hollywood are very much counting on people still giving a shit about Avatar considering it has four sequels planned for some insane reason. Which I'm sure must please him.

I also lent my dad a copy of Sicario and he said it was boring and he never finished it. He of course liked Sicario 2 tho.

I'm always alone and I don't watch movies, so no. Get some real problems. Better yet, get high and cause some problems.

My dad also really liked Avatar for some reason. He skips talking in action movies because he wants to see action and not talking. Funny guy.

Reminds me of this guy I went on a plane ride with. We hadn't been airborne long when he decided to watch a movie. He'd brought along 'Michael,' a recent release, but twenty minutes after popping it into the VCR he got bored and switched to an old favorite, a Jean Claude Van Damme slugfest called 'Bloodsport,' which he pronounced 'an incredible, fantastic movie.' By assigning to his son the task of fast-forwarding through all the plot exposition (his goal being 'to get this two-hour movie down to forty-five minutes') he eliminated any lulls between the nose hammering, kidney tenderizing, and shin whacking.

>Why do numales love le reactions so much?
Why do dumb niggers like you always talk so much shit..

The reason is obvious to a non defective brain. They found something amazing and they would like to share the experience with someone.

>Just because someone doesn't share your interests doesn't mean you can't be friends.
hahaha..yeah...friendly acquaintances maybe, but friends need things in common or else they're not friends.

Hi, JIDF.

kill yourself redditfag

Nice, you just called a Trumptard a redditfag. There may be hope for this board yet.

at least you have people to show you dumb fucking faggot frog

Every time I've ever watched a film with a girl

>Trumptard
I dont care about his or your politics, people whi can't post without faggot brackets should be shot.

You mean parentheses? That's funny because originally hyphens and I edited those out of the post because I thought it would make my post suspicious, only for you to notice the replacement anyway.

It's the reason I stopped showing movies to most people

121083059
faggot brackets reddit nigger

Sorry, forgot to quote your post. Yes, I meant parentheses.

I showed Dark Knight Rising to all my friends and family. They didn't understand the plane scene and didn't give a shit about me remembering all the dialogue from the scene, so i got angry and turned off the movie and left the house.

I never understood guys watching porn together and jacking off but maybe it's that they got tired of trying to watch regular movies with people and you both cumming is a shared mutual experience instead of watching all those cunts look at their phones during the best part of the movie.

you should try moving out.

She stopped producing milk after some time, I was grown mostly on formula and juices, we are joking that my sister drank it all and didn't left me any)
I like reactions because they are mostly positive (reasonless negative commentators are weeded out) so It's not as scary to "share" your interest

Christ, just imagine reading someone pose an argument to you and instead of addressing it you immediately look through their history to find someone you can call problematic so you don't have to respond to it.
That shit has happened to me at least a hundred times. (All right about three times.)

Did she smoke? I got put on formula and just heard recently that cigarette smoking fucks up prolactin or something like that.
Yes, she would have smoked while pregnant too.

Explains why you hide out on Yea Forums despite admitting to using Redit.

why did you correct yourself in parentheses. why not just adjust your post

I don't think so but she's very neurotic and she stressed out a lot on her job, I don't see any other potential reason

yeah every time i try to show my brother a movie. i tried watching ghost in the shell with him once and the entire movie he whined about how boring and perverse it was. years later i found out he had watched it on his own a second time and liked it, completely forgetting i'd already shown him it before. so it became obvious the only reason he didn't like it the first time was solely because i had picked it out. we don't watch movies together anymore.

Nah, never used reddit. Those were on youtube and twitter.
I'm neurotypical so sometimes I communicate things inefficiently on purpose.

Nice try, you can't view someone's comment history on YouTube.

fuck i hate this, show someone something, they don't care, they discover it themselves months later and won't shut up about it, no longer friends with the guy who did this

I posted a video of black protestors getting run over with a joke title.

not even a movie
>linked my crush some nice and interesting music
>he doesnt even make it to the chorus and gave me some generic response

even got him a nice mechanical watch for his birthday and he forgot mine

Yes but I just click in their faces for the important bits so they're forced to pay attention.

>guys watching porn together and jacking off together

did that a few times during high school
its not uncommon, just boys messing around

looking back now its kinda kinky desu, should have done it more

Showing my friends the Ye Olde Justice episode of Wonder Showzen. They didn't laugh one bit and left before it even got half way through.
