Went to It Chapter 2 alone last week on opening night. Was a weird experience. Two girls were on their phones for minutes a time and eating food extremely loudly until some guy yelled at them to stop. A group of teenage girls seemed to be running back and fourth out of the theatre to send texts or whatever the fuck. Two kids snuck in the theatre about half way through, watched the movie for about 5 minutes then just left. Some of the audience was actually cool and liked the movie seemingly. When walking out I heard a girl call it “the worst movie I’ve ever seen.”

having a theater to yourself is the best feeling in the world, saw BR2049 alone, 12 Years A Slave alone and Gravity alone. Great experiences. Saw Ghost In The Shell (1995) and Grave Of The Fireflies alone as well.

Not really movies I wanted to see anyone, I just wanted to see what was up with them and focus on it. Nice to get lost in the big screen and not focus on those around me.

Worked at a movie theater in high school. They moved my shift up 4 hours without telling me so I watched Pursuit of Happiness to kill time. Everyone in the theater went alone. Not a single couple. I chuckled when Will Smith had to sleep on the subway bathroom floor and some loser shushed me.

My saddest experience was when I saw Hateful 8 on New Year's Eve. I saw it at about 8 and expected to be out before midnight but I didn't realize it was super long and I got out at like 12:30
Not that it mattered because I wasn't planning on going to a party on NYE anyway but it was still depressing
