It's been a fucking decade, the longest gap yet. When is the next Friday the 13th movie coming out?
Friday the 13th: Jason lives

Nice wojak. Might wanna give the jason threads a rest, boards been full of slasher threads lately
I heard theres a script for a film that takes place after part 6, just gotta wait for that lawsuit to blow over
In 3 years so that it will come out 13 years after the last one.
>I heard theres a script for a film that takes place after part 6
Are they going to pretend all the others never existed? I'd be ok with that. Has Alias Voorhees use magic to get Jason out of the lake or what? With subtlety it could work.
Everything after 6 gets ignored. That's all the scriptwriter said, but he had to clamp it right after the lawsuit happened
is jason an incel
No, but Michael is
No, he made love to Chris from part 3, which is why she felt that her normal boyfriend was inadequate.
Elias was supposed to appear in part 4. He was supposed to be the real hero of the franchise, but then they just kinda went "little kid hero".
Whoa, never heard that one. Who knows what could have been, but Feldman killing Jason worked for me. Nice solid hit.
This is hilarious. Saved. Though Michael should have that open eyed look from when he got kicked in the balls

The idea of a slasher movie innawoods durng winter with snow everywhere is kino as fuck. Whatever else they do, I hope they go with that setting.
I've got the perfect plot..
>Family goes up to Crystal Lake during the winter for a getaway because they heard there weren't enough murders.
>Kids start doing incest shit and get wrecked by Jason
>but it's not really Jason it's just the father being a cunt..
It's been in a rights lawsuit hell for past decade that's not wrapping up anytime soon. Maybe by 2030
>Might wanna give the jason threads a rest

Lol new line movies body count goes through the roof. Jason confirmed best killer
>Jason wins FvJ 21-1
BASED
>Walking zombie gets more kills than someone who can kill anyone whos asleep and is practically omnipresent
Is Friday the 13th part V the best opening in any Jason movie?
Jason kills the grave robbers in Tommy's night mare, climbs out of his grave and glares at tommy.
Pretty kino imo
seething freddyfag
There is literally no excuse for a retard zombie to outkill an omnipresent dream demon. Prove me wrong
Jason getting BTFO'd by a mortar in IX was better
>Kane Hodder is no longer canon
Sucks to be him
he was out of canon by FvJ, maybe they'll cast him
unironically never. The rights will stay in limbo until however many years it takes for a copyright to expire these days.
>There is literally no excuse for a retard zombie to outkill an omnipresent dream demon. Prove me wrong
Sure there is, especially when the dream demon takes time with every single kill to maximize fear because it consumes souls and the zombie just hacks away at anything in its path
just for fun
Lets do some averages
>Jason = 16.5 kills a movie
>Michael = 12.3 kills a movie
>Chucky = 5.7 kills per movie
>Freddy = 4.8 kills per movie
>Leather Face = 3.9 kills per movie
>Pinhead = 3.1 kills per movie
Safe to say Halloween franchise chased Jason's body count outside of H20
The director said in an interview that it will not make the other movies non canon. He said its basically a stand alone movie that wont reference the others, kinda like how FVJ doesn't reference Jason X for example
Should this include those two teens digging up Jason during Part V's opening scene?
Would require 4 more movies at an average of 12 kills a movie to top Jason
So if Jason is stuck in limbo, the next to movies in this trilogy come out, and 2 more come out before Jason gets a new movie, hes got a shot
yes
I don't think so. The scene is awesome (best part of V) but, its a nightmare right? Cause in VI Jason is still buried.
So it would only really invalidate Jason X? sounds good, always thought Jason should have a less chronological style
I remember reading a script for a reboot called "Friday the 13th 3D," but I thought that didn't keep anything canon. Is there a link to the script you guys are talking about?
Yes, X would still be canon. He said he felt like most F13 movies are almost their own story, cause you can watch them without seeing the others and not worry about what happened before.
VI was great (he is the one that made it) and he seems to care about the series as a whole so it could be good if it gets made.
The script isn't available to read I don't think since hes trying to get it made but, its called Jason never dies.
Ah, yes. "No one's ever really gone."

He chopped up like 6 people at a party in FVJ

Last one out shut the lights.
Ahahaha cry more shatner mask fag. Jason's body count outpaces Mikey, and Halloween creators were so envious of F13's body count they upped the gore from 1 to 2.
>gets DROPPED by a little boy
lmaooo no no no
Lol better than getting kicked in the nuts.
He got his balls whacked in part 2
lmao look at this fucking PUSSY
Didnt Myers get his ass kicked by Busta Rhymes doing Kung-Fu
i love early tardjason spazzing out and falling over a lot
the franchise ran out of steam when he became the teleporting hulk
Yes. But Mikey fags don't like to acknowledge that
>implying pre zombie Jason shouldn't be afraid of a chainsaw
lol Mikey is supposed to be an evil killing machine, gets his butt kicked by buster rhymes in one timeline, gets held up by rocks in another
FvJ. I don't give a shit what you say. I fuckin' hate how wide the others look. It looks silly as shit.
Michael parries chainsaws with a kitchen knife
that's not canon
>When is the next Friday the 13th movie coming out?
When Sean Cuntingham or Victor Miller die of old age. I wish one of them would sell the rights to another production company already, because both of them only care about money.
yes it is
busta beat myers ass

Every Horror icon (Jason, Michael, Freddy, Chucky, Leatherface) has been made to look like a joke. Leatherface got the worst of it though in the Next Generation when the faggot writer made him into a full fledged tranny.
>Might wanna give the jason threads a rest, boards been full of slasher threads lately
That's because Autumn and Halloween season is approaching. Get used to it, faggot.
This franchise has been run into the ground. How many movies does it need?
>hockey mask machete man stabs pot smoking teens
For fuck sake
05/13/22
Its one of the 5 canons
I like slashers, but spamming the board with slasher threads will just kill discussion
>This franchise has been run into the ground. How many movies does it need?
As many as people will go see.
The reboot really wasn't too bad. I'd put it in my top 5 Friday films.
And anyway, its Mikey that's getting more movies right now
>top 5 friday films
The fact that there's so many of these that you can even have a top 5 is absurd
Jason in the early F13 movies got his ass kicked a lot.
1-2 threads at most isn't spam. I'd rather see slasher threads than Star Wars, Euphoria, or capeshit.
>Making money is absurd
This is probably why you're on welfare and don't actually have a clue how business works.
When Victor Miller stops being a rat.
the next F13 movie will be the 13th and i hope there are 13 more after that
They still make media of Dracula and Frankenstein still to this day. When you create Horror monsters that establish fandoms, sequels and the characters becoming a franchise is inevitable.
>I LOVE DEAD FRANCHISES
He'll be back bros. You can't keep a good slasher down forever
Roy Burns was a better killer than Jason. He killed more people in his movie alone than Jason did in his three movies combined. FACTS.
>Projecting
>no u: A discourse on Freud
Roy Burns ripped off two much better killers - stealing Jason's look/MO and Michael's jumpsuit
when I think of how many people that chocolate bar killed
>stealing Jason's look/MO
Yeah, he did it better. Nobody (kids included) was off-limits.
One of the best parts about Part 5 aside from the amazing tits was when Tommy beat up that retarded redneck incel autist. Damn this movie was so based.
>chocolate bar gets retard killed
>retard's father goes ham on 10+ teens
>rampage puts tommy off road of recovery
>years later, traumatized tommy ressurects jason
>jason kills like 100 people then gets frozen
>taken to space
>destroys a space ship and an ENTIRE SPACE COLONY/STATION

What kinda chocolate bar do you think it was
twix
>When is the next Friday the 13th movie coming out?
On Friday the 13th.
Because of Victor Miller's lawsuit we may never get another Friday the 13th movie.
Pinhead is hardly a slasher killer, you dumb fuck. Granted, the later movies are really shitty and make it so he might as well be.
How far along are they in that court case?
jason against the military
jason gets hunted by bounty hunters
jason against escaped convicts
camp crystal lake becomes a regular neighborhood. jason wakes up in it
jason is dropped on mexico and makes his way into usa killing migrants
jason is dropped in the middle east as a weapon

I would watch all of those btw
Miller won the initial case but Cunningham is appealing and that's going on.
Really Cunningham has done more for the franchise than Miller. Yes Miller wrote the original script but the franchise is not really based on the first film too much, it became something else and focuses on a different character. All Miller has contributed to the success of the series past the first film was the name "Jason Voorhees" and a little bit of backstory on him and his mommy issues. Cunningham has produced more films in the series.
However the real person who should be credited with the success of the series is neither, but rather Steve Miner who directed the second and third films, and produced the second film. It was his idea that the series should focus on Jason Voorhees as the main character, where before he was kind of just a plot device, a kid they thought had drowned. The original idea was to make it an anthology series with different unconnected plots relating to bad luck (which they later used for the Paramount TV series, which is why the rights for "Friday the 13th" and "Jason Voorhees" were separate and until 2009 they weren't able to use both together). MIner's idea gave us the iconic villain and later the iconic hockey mask (in part 3 which he also directed). If anyone should get credit, it's him.
>Victor Miller's lawsuit
Sean filed the lawsuit against Miller, not the other way around. If Sean did the reasonable thing and came to an agreement on a deal, this shit wouldn't be happening.
Miller doesn't deserve shit though. He wrote a script and sold it for cheap his decision. All the stuff that made it into a successful franchise had so little to do with him that it's laughable. He contributed a name of a character that was later developed into something he never intended.
It's the law, and Miller is abding by it and doing what it says he's entitled to do, and to be fair neither one of them hardly care about the franchise. Cunningham wasn't even involved in the films that made Jason a Horror icon. He came back around the time when we were delivered shitty Jason movies. As far as I'm concerned, neither one of them should own the property. If they sold their piece to a different production company they'd be set for life.
Well Im happy his vision won out. Part II aint bad (better than the original) and III is even better.
Would prefer that to an anthology of bad luck I think
Like I said, if anyone should be getting more money out of it it's Steve Miner.
Frank Mancuso Jr actually deserves more credit than anyone since he pushed for these films to continue.
9, then Uber, then 5
you know, I was thinking maybe him too but I wasn't sure what all he did for the series outside of producing several of them and I wasn't sure how much input he had. But if it was him that kept it going then yeah. Steve Miner and Frank Mancuso Jr were the people behind II-VII.which is where the series kind of started getting stale, and after VIII Paramount was ready to be done with it cept they wanted to do the TV series which Mancuso also produced. The New Line movies were pretty bad except Freddy vs Jason which was just a love letter to fans, and I guess Jason X had some campy appeal to it for being so fucking ridiculous that it was a self parody.
>Next Generation
>Not making McConaughey the chainsaw killer
4's my favorite, It shares continuity with the mask from 3. The rest break continuity Except VIII which shows him getting a new mask in the movie, IX and X should be the same mask as VIII but they fuck up. V of course is a copycat so it's understandable, Uber is brand new so understandable. FVJ should be VIII's mask just older and more damaged too, they fucked up.
But VI and VII not being the same mask as III just more damaged and older, and X looking newer and less damaged
>But VI and VII not being the same mask as III just more damaged and older, and X looking newer and less damaged
is just lame, they should be continuous within their own franchise.
I like III's mask. I don't like the yellow of VIII, just seems kinda grimy, which I know is how he should look after bein in a lake but, the mask is supposed to be new.
I also kinda like X's first mask. Its different but I think its a nice change, even though it isn't even close to bein right
Just to add to your post: the judge in the case declined to make any sort of decision on whether or not the adult killer in a potato sack/hockey mask is legally distinct from the boy that drowned. This is extremely important, as if Cunningham's lawyers could get a judge to rule that the two are legally distinct, it could lead to Cunningham/Horror, Inc. being able to use the character (with a few minor modifications) in future movies. No mentions of Camp Crystal Lake, Pamela Voorhees, and Jason would lose his last name alongside his origin story. But he'd be usable as a character.
One thing the judge DID rule on, which is totally baffling, is distribution rights for the films. Currently, Miller has US distribution rights for the series, while Cunningham has international. The only way that makes any sense is if the judge did it as a means of making Miller and Cunningham work out some sort of agreement if they want any more films made.
Where does New Line Cinema and Paramount fit in all of this? To my understanding, Paramount owned 'Friday the 13th', and New Line Cinema owned the Jason character hence why they were able to use it later installments after the 8th movie.
that's really bizzare. Really they both need to die so this shit can get rolling again. We were supposed to get one Friday, October 13th 2017, but thanks to Rings flopping it got canceled then this lawsuit popped up and canned everything else.
Nah no one beats Jason. Part V isn't awful though. It has some redeeming qualities
I can remember, I was watching Friday the 13th (the original). Was a kid and kinda confused as to where Jason was
Part V came on after and I saw the beginning with Jason killing the grave robbers. Then my dad said I couldn't watch it and turned it off.
That opening is just awesome and I was absolutely furious when I didn't get to see more
I watched it years later and was a little let down, but its not terrible
Giving a screenwriter that only worked one movie that had nothing to do with the character that made the franchise famous distribution rights in the hottest market for the series makes absolutely no fucking sense.
Steve Miner left after III
yeah but Jason and the hockey masks were still his ideas, and that's the real iconic parts of the series. That's what people wanted to see. Big hulking guy with a hockey mask and machete hacking up dumb college students.
Not that user, but I agree part V isn't awful. Would love to see it totally uncut.
I wish she'd gotten her tits out.
