Come up with a better sequel to Harry Potter

come up with a better sequel to Harry Potter

and actually mean it

maybe harry in his 40s fighting some voldemort copycat
the story ended fine. it did not leave room for a sequel

>Attacks start happening again
>Dark Marks in the sky
>Sighting of Voldemort
>People are shit scared, beg Harry for help
>He's a grizzled veteran by now
>"I'll help by doing my job"
>Takes out loads of death eaters
>Even Voldemort himself
>Attacks keep happing
>Voldemort sighted again
>blah blah blah, it was Polyjuice and Malfoy junior was behind it

Just Harry as an Auror solving mysteries
Episodic for first few books, build up to an interconnected conspiracy later.

harry and his friends go to the magical gulag and lined up against the wall and shot with non-magical bullets in the head which kill them all instantly.

>muggles being able to capture people with the ability to teleport, turn invisible and mind control

Year 3000, they send Barty Crouch jr. back in time to assasinate Harry. Order of Phoenix sends back Minerva McGonagall to stop Crouch. Movie starts with McGonagall in a biker bar, you can imagine the rest

>harry is the head auror and has reinvented the magical law enforcement department
>opens with him catching come serial killer wizard
>harry is a veteran at this point, but still takes cases like this personally, maybe he even loses a few wizards in the arrest
>gets an Owl message from neville about a child murder at Hogwarts, the new head master wants to keep it a secret
>harry arrives under the guise of being a guest speaker, but investigates the case on his own
>elements of dark magic and ritual sacrifice at the crime scene in the forbidden Forrest
>while hes there more children are disappearing or being found dead in hogwarts and hogsmede
>ministry gets involved, it cant be covered up anymore
>harrys kids are ostracized, despite his efforts to give them a normal childhood
>after some investigation, the culprit is another student obsessed with the dark arts who has been cursing other students to commit these crimes and kill any student that gets close
>end of the movie is a trial, arguably the morality of child killers, culpability of those that were hexed and what to do with them
>kid ends up being a nephew of some bigger badder wizard gang from Harry's past trying to take over where Voldemort left off, leaving harry and his friends wondering if the effects of voldemort will ever truly end

yes Ive given this more thought then Id like to admit and yes I hate the new movies

No. There's more than enough of that series. What is there to add? You can either go full Star Wars and say "Now, thirty years later, the Death Eaters are back and basically, nothing lasting was actually accomplished in the original series" which just devalues a perfectly popular story by trying to capitalize on it, you can do some unrelated bullshit for nerds which might as well be an entirely unrelated thing or you can just leave it be and concede that the story is told and there's nothing to add.

have a prequel about the first wizard war, where Voldemort was new and nobody knew how powerful he was until things got fucked. Enough with the zoo keeper bullshit

>"Now, thirty years later, the Death Eaters are back and basically, nothing lasting was actually accomplished in the original series" which just devalues a perfectly popular story
To be fair that is the plot of Harry Potter, just 11 years instead of 30, they let all the Death Eaters get away with it after Voldemort's first downfall, and they did the same thing in Deathly Hallows, the only thing that's different is that Voldemort really is dead this time, all his followers still got away with it and the prologue implies we're supposed to be okay with this.

>Be American Wizard
>get Avada Kedavrad
>everyone claps and sends their thoughts & prayers

its a magical gulag

>Harry is an auror, middle-aged
>Ginny left him and cleared out his bank accounts after Harry accidentally let a werewolf eat their children
>He used to be one of the best aurors in the ministry, was the best bet to take over but that all changed after the above events
>now he's an alcoholic and depressed, working just to get by
>one day he's assigned on a new case
>a string of muggle murders, clearly killed by magic
>the catch: every one of them has interacted with Lucius Malfoy
>Lucius can't be found or contacted
>So Draco is brought in to help locate him
>Draco is now a reformed charity worker, spending most of his time helping out in Ethiopia and Taiwan, but deep down he's just running from who he knows he really is
>Harry and Draco have to solve the case together

>death eaters are the only possible threat
What? What about magical beasts interacting with the muggle world? What about wizards who decide the muggles are idiots and want to take power, reminiscent of Grindelwald but modern?
What about wizards who think magic is an abomination and want to purge all other wizards?

The Harry Potter universe is limited, and once you've completed a child's journey through Hogwarts, you're basically done.

>What about wizards who think magic is an abomination and want to purge all other wizards?

> New dark wizard on the loose
> Is taking magic power away from other wizards and witches, leaving them as muggles
> Plans to rid the world of magic, except for his ruling class
> Mass terror in the wizarding world
> Blah blah blah
> Harry hunts down and eventually finds the new masked villain just before he can get into Hogwarts
> Battle ensues outside Hogwarts
> Harry is not the wizard he used to be, and is defeated but not killed, only immobilized
> The villain reveals himself to be Dean
> He proceeds to black Ginny in front of Harry as the rest of the school (including Harry's children) watch on

>pick up a month or two after end of last book
>Harry and Ron get accepted to auror training
>Wizarding world simultaneously have to deal with restructure of Daily Prophet, Hogwarts, Ministry, and trials of surviving death eaters
>Hermione goes to work for ministry as an intern.
>Harry and Ron go off to some small town that does auror training and are effectively students, for a year going to class, doing lots of practicals, learning the specifics of the role and duelling, evil curses and all that stuff
>Have slapstick juxtapositions where they ace all the most difficult classes and tasks because their life experiences far outstrips the common auror dangers, but get caught out by simple stuff (cursed teacups or suchlike)
>Basically home life is Harry, ron and hermione living in a dingy student house, Hermione doing actual work at the ministry and r+h dicking about with curses and spells.
>Include the Malfoys trial, which Harry and Ron attend as witnesses, eventually Harry decides at the end of the trial to speak out in favour of them at how Narcissus save day his life and Draco was being used etc. Ron is raging but Harry’s compassion earns him respect from Malfoys and reduces their punishment.
>Ron proposes to Hermione, Begin planning wedding
>Harry and Ginny get more serious, she gets much more focus and development, and begins her quidditch career.

>wanting a sequel to this epitome of dullness
I'd prefer a reboot.

Just typing random words onto a piece of paper would make a better story than Cursed Child.

After a hard-days work on the day of the exams harry, ron and hermione felt extreamly tired so they went back to there dorms at once. Hermione felt intimidated by the sweat on harry’s face, and harry as well. nevervously harry did not know what to next, each day he was falling more and more for hermione, but did hermione know? he thought of something simple and invited her into the boys dorm, but before he could say anything she invited him. Even if harry wasn’t allowed in the girls dorm he felt to anxious to refuse. As he went up, holding hermione’s hand, he can feel sweat dripping down from his chin and his legs. he didnt know what to do, but she quickly took control. They started off with a long conversation about school, but little did he know hermione was getting quite horny. Out of nowhere, in the middle of talking about how annoying colin was getting to be, she kissed him, but only a quick peck. Harry returned it, but in a more passionate way. she slowley rolled her tounge around harry’s lips and then in his mouth. She was looking so sexy in the empty dark room, in her summer-tight pink shirt, with jeans so tight that you are able to feel the texture of her skin. he leaned her on the bed until she was fully on her back then got into kissing a little more. Harry didnt know what to do until she told him to take off his shirt, but he refused until she took off her pants. So they both did.

She was in a sky-blue thong that was so thin that you could see the moisture coming out of her shaved smooth pussy. He took hermiones panies off and it was like he was in heaven. He pushed his thumb against her clit and she yelled out a quiet but meanningful moan. After about 5 min. of fingering her they both took off all there cloths. Harry took out his rock hard british cock and dabbed it on her lips until she opened her mouth. She opened her mouth and pushed it from cheeck to cheek with her tounge, crookshanks left the room with a whine. After nice oral pleasuring, Harry flipped her over on her knees and spread her legs open. He ate her from side to side until she started to have an orgasm. He didnt want her to cum yet and she didnt want him to cum, or in zacks case, not come at all. he fucked her condom free and she moaned so loud. Her smooth skin and her face so horny. her clit was so pink and she was shaved that you would mistaken her for a pedoliciouse girl. after hours of long and hard fucking they both came as she was riding his cock. one last moan and they fell to the bed side by side. this was the best day at hogwarts that they both have ever had. That is until hagrid came in and shoved his missive-barrell sized cock into hermione until she bled to death, but for harry it was a dream come true

Fred Weasley's ghost teams up with Peeves and trolls the shit out of the new Hogwarts generations

>Albus Potter main character
>Sorted into Slytherin, as is Scorpius
>They become friends
>Make friends with an older Hufflepuff girl
>Dark Mark appears over Ministry
>Harry and co are involved with the case
>His scar hurts for the first time in 19 years
>Albus and co go on a Hogwarts adventure and find out Voldemort had a back-up plan
>Daughter of a Death Eater is the key to bringing him back
>It's the Hufflepuff girl, and she attempts to summon several "Neo Death Eaters" to her aid
>They duel her until Harry comes and defeats them, like how Dumbledore did in book 5
>Girl is expelled/arrested and Voldemort's contingency is thwarted
>Slytherin win the House Cup
>Albus and co are ready for more wacky adventures in the years to come

I would read your fanfiction

this would be good for a mini series

Nah, to be successful, a sequel would have to move away from Voldemort.

no caps tranny from tumblr OP is just a Yea Forums reject

>Go to some fanfiction site
>Click on a random story
Where's my paycheck?

It's the "passing of the torch" sequel. The first "Albus Potter". The rest wouldn't be about bringing back Voldemort.

the idea is to make the new series less dull. Something these sequels keep getting wrong

This would definitely not be the dullest sequel of all time.
Now I want to read it.

>ancient cult called the Acolytes of Deh or whatever arises after centuries of inactivity
>begins with subtle acts of sabotage directed at the wizarding govt
>reveals the truth about wizards and magic to the rest of the world in such a way that it cannot be denied, or the information removed
>Deh is revealed to be an ancient entity who survives by harvesting the magical energies of slain wizards, throughout history it has engineered multiple wizard holocausts after giving them centuries to rebuild their populations in secret
>this has happened countless times throughout history
>some wizards serve Deh with the promise of being spared from the slaughter, ensuring their bloodlines will survive
>at the end of each cycle, Deh uses his near-infinite power to alter the memories of the muggle populations, causing wizards to once again fade into myth without being truly "forgotten"
>harry and co must attempt to somehow stop the cycle, despite the fact that Harry is no longer the chosen one. He and the other characters now don't have plot armor
