I hated the engineers so much. It was too predictable that tge main character from the previous film had already been murdered. I like prometheus and was dissapointed slightly by this one.

The direction Ridley chose to take the franchise is a much needed release from the stuffy and predictable closet lurker that Alien and Alien 3 boxed xenomorphs into. Aliens turned the existential horror of the sapienlike predator on its head and made them into passionless canon fodder, marring them for decades.

The low concept Chariot of the Gods angle leaves much more play for who humans are as a space fairing species, that they weren't the first ones, and allowing xenos to evolve as the universe does. Prometheus is my favourite scifi movie and I still remember being mesmerized in the cinema in 2012, because of all the possibilities that are now open.

Wished we got to see more of the neomorph, and I feel like the xeno was shoehorned by execs for fan fair, but still exciting to see where David takes the cross breeding experiment next

Now that Disney owns the rights the midquel and Alien 5 are all but cancelled, right?

The crew outfits were so fucking nice

it is fucking great. we need a sequel. the cliff hanger at the end was too damn awesome.

i wanna see how it all continues

Very based

It's incredible how you can take something a genius made and have a normalfag do minimal changes to it, and it completely loses any impact it had previously.

Look upon my work ye mighty and despair!

I didn't hate it but the Xenomorph looks like a fuckin' grasshopper. Should have been a Protomorph that got into the ship at the end, those little fuckers were cute and scary enough
