It's really bad. If it weren't for the name, you wouldn't know it has anything to do with The Terror. The two seasons have absolutely nothing in common (and I don't mean the contents): the acting is subpar and boring, the story is bland, the narration isn't dense, there is no atmosphere, the dialog isn't engaging at all. It's like the two seasons were created by completely different showrunners.

It's the same producers and most of the original writers.

They should have just turned it into The Dan Simmons Show and adapted his other period piece horror and thriller novels.

To all you people complaining its boring, how did you find season 1 not boring? It was a fucking anoozefest until the lasr few episodes.

There are no writers in common, and the producers that actually did anything (i.e. the showrunners) did not stay on for season 2.

The late episodes were the weakest, it's like they ran out of playtime and were trying to cram too much plot into what was left. The whole series had a problem with compressing time too much and omitting critical events.

Great acting, music and atmosphere, plus the showrunner and his crew went all out on the historical accuracy of the clothing and ships. Excluding that mistake with the stopwatch.

Did the first season have a lot of viewers either? I downloaded it first and tried watching it on tv as it aired but the ads and not being able to hear all the mumbly dialogue made it a pain.

I don't think Crozier's desk was ever photographed so this is our first look at the inside of his cabin. And that of the crew making this part of the show outdated in the most positive way possible.

Of course. It's more likely than saving the photos but I feel positive about this if nothing was broken and the ship seems to be in a perfect condition and there are no traces of the Inuit stealing anything. Too bad Erebus is in worse condition but also good enough to secure the artifacts

The biggest problem is that the sailors probably took their most important documents in a metal box as they left the ships and that was taken and discarded by the inuit because they didn’t need the papers

For example we still don't know where Franklin was burried, the Inuit claim that they saw at least one high ranking officer being burried but where? We've discovered many bodies already including that of Henry Goodsir what I'm counting on is to learn more about timeline. Like the year of death of Crozier and Fitzjames. Was it 1848 or later? Who was the last of the two still with the final group of survivors?

Goodsir was actually found? I thought it was speculated that him and Crozier survived among the eskimos. Or at least one doctor did.
