i've watched a lot of 80s letterman full episodes in the past few years.
on network tv, he mocked fat people, gays, crossdressers, muslims, old people.
he did a black voice "i'm hyp-mo-tized"
he was extremely mean to paul, and once implied he was gay, and paul flipped him off (censored) on air.
you can see why Norm Mac loved him so much. In the 80s he was as edgy as you can be on network tv.
