It was bollocks mate

whats so bad about it?

I liked it
I think it was much better then the first

The whole thing was kind of boring

>I saw it by myself

I thought the opposite. I enjoyed the first one more.

The problem might have been that it seems like half the silly parts weren't meant to be silly.

I enjoyed it but the pacing was terrible. For as long as the film was not enough happened, going through the motions with each character and then each kid meant that you got the same 3 scenes 5-7 times.

I HATE YOU STUPID CLOWN YOU KILLED OUR FRIEND

Shit editing, capeshit quips, alternating from comedy and horror at weird fucking times and also within the span of 10 seconds, weird fucking pacing, shit dialogue, obviously rushed cash in. Had some good scenes though.

People were laughing at all the granny parts until she rushed out of the shadows. Though I actually kinda like that whole transition.

Im disappointed it went the way of Michael bay tier CGI. Even the more Subtle scenes like with the old lady was just Andy re-using his stuff from MAMA.
Bill Skarsgard was massively underused, the 3 scenes where hes just regular pennywise killing kids where the only scary scenes and we could have done away with a lot of the CGI for that. Also the pacing was all over the place, any potentially scary scene was undercut by a silly comment or joke. Its like the studio was afraid to just let the tension sink in and needed a silly marvel quip every few minutes.

Im just pissed because the first movie did so well it had a chance to revitalize horror movies, letting studios take note of its success and give a chance to get more creative with horror instead of pumping out a thousand Annabelle remakes, but they threw it all away.

Its a decent sequel to a good horror adaption, but a lackluster movie on its own

the 1990 miniseries is better

I wasn't a fan of the CGI but I think the thing that bothers me the most is that there wasn't a big fuss about only them being able to see what was happening. In the original movies they were trying to keep their sanity in public while pennywise fucked with them more and more until the end. In Chapter 2, he's pretty much full blast at the beginning but then half asses some of the middle parts. The miniseries, despite the shit acting, knew how to create tension.

Nobody in this thread has actually seen the movie but me. Dilate.

Honestly skaarsgard was great and every scene he was allowed to actually act was amazing. That scene where he's putting on the make up was amazing. What a fucking waste of talent this could have been a fantastic piece.

one problem i have with the it series is that everything is kind of concluded in the end of chapter one, they get over their fears and defeat pennywise, why does he come back consider they kill him in exactly the same way as in the first film?, isn't the way they defeat him in the first one pretty much the same?, lose their fear and yell at him?.

no, the 1990s miniseries is shit, the only good thing was tim curry

>I enjoyed it but the pacing was terrible.
So it was faithful to the book then?

I wish they didn't use that scene in the trailer. It was one of the better scenes in the movie. The granny CGI monster was ugly as sin, though.

the first half was good, the 2nd half is marred by horrible acting

true, but i think the first it film (2017) was better same with the sequel, even though its disappointing.

Because he feeds by killing scared kids, these kids managed to send him into hibernation with no food. Now he has to make up for it by feeding on their 30 years of built up fear. That's my take

It doesn't feed on fear, it's more like spicing on the food. It feeds on human flesh.

hard to say about part 2. I usually stop watching IT (1990) when they grow up lol

then why do they all float down there

the second part is total shit, the acting is terrible, the ending is stupid and the only good thing was pennywise trolling the losers

they didnt finish him off the first time, he was only wounded and escaped into hibernation. When he comes back hes angry and wants revenge. The book has a few chapters that are actually from IT's perspective, how it had never felt fear before and even as kids it was growing worried about them

Because It likes keeping trophies?

>tfw still holding out hope for Andy's supercut 6 hour long version with more deleted scenes and parts they cut from the theatrical release

It doesn't eat the flesh except to scare the person more. Like that time it bit a huge chunk of the gay guy's arm off

makes sense

so the dude takes a bite out of the steak and then lets the rest float down there

Marvel quips killed it

I mean, he said he was doing it. Isnt it pretty much confirmed?

It has actually his heart

>"My fortune cookie is looking at meee?!"

tbf, Marvelquips are actually funny compared to this shit

Also, what was this "the ending sucked" meme? did stephen king write a bad ending to the book "IT"?

I dont trust studios to not get involved and fuck it up somehow

It was a pure comedy. That reference to Verne Troyer at the end was a nice touch.

Stephen King writes bad endings to almost all his stories.

No but seriously if you called Pennywise a nigger would he get mad

Probably feign being offended before trying to turn it against whoever said itor if everyone started calling him a nigger and and visualized it on their minds he would become a nigger

>Pennywise gets shitposted to death.
>Turns out he just turns into a hyper-Blacked dude like giga chad but black
>even scarier to /pol/

Is this the greatest tragic love story of our time?

This legitimately made me sad. Don't even care about the gayness, these two were easily the best parts of the movie. I love me some professor x but his bad accent and riding around everywhere on that fucking bike (is everything 5 minutes away from each other on Derry?) ruined his character for me.

Yeah, same. Seeing Bev and Ben kiss underwater fifteen minutes later was kind of crappy given the context and especially seeing how their adult selves had no chemistry whatsoever.

Agreed. Bev should have died instead of Eddie.

Yeah, even knowing how it ended, I was shocked that they Bev and the fat kid got together. Thought the director had called an audible, which in the context of the film really made sense. Reminded me of when Joey ended up with Pacey instead of Dawson. WTF?!
