About the same level as Only God Forgives. Lots of neon lighting, graphic violence and very little reason to care.

cruel to say but this was the biggest flaw. If the movie wasn't so intently predicated on Fanning's character being self evidently the most beautiful girl ever seen, then I wouldn't care. But with so much of the movie is long shots of her face and characters in awe at her beauty, then those small flaws start to become very apparent.

Probably the most heavy-handed movie ever made. Worth a watch, though.

It was a good film in parts, I wish everything wasn't to slow but it's cool and let's you think.

I wish the main girl got to do a scene where she did some screaming and acting like a egomaniac, had a mental breakdown and turned into a monkey, always acting like a scared fool child. Towards the end of her journey I'd have liked to see her as a maniacal figure, smart & deadly not running like a little bitch from 3 other little bitches... But it's not my film.

I wish certain scenes were darker. I wish the triangle scene turned into a dmt trip type deal.
She sees herself when she's older, she has to kill her past weak self...

I wish the boyfriend wasn't such a bitch & their relationship was boring like every other romance. I wish the pimp had bodyguards that beet the boys ass, then if he says I'll went after the girl it would show some strength and risk.

I wish keanu went more alpha & greedy. He's a motel owner who rapes young runaways for fucks sakes go full crazy! Be an actor!

I love most Nicholas winding refen films, bleeder & fear x is the all boring, pusher 3 I don't give a shit about the main guy so film was shit to me. I'm going to enjoy his tv series.
He is a total narcissist, but is a good film maker too.

He actually made Pusher II and III to be commercial, because he bankrupted himself with Fear X. So it's made to be popular and please people, it's got none of the stuff everyone hates him for in it.

First pusher is like a cheap Danish lock stock and two smoking barrels.

I personally loved it. It's a film you either go along with or don't, but if you do it's a glorious experience. Cinema strictly for the eyes and ears. Sure the film is shallow, but that reflects the subject matter.

The boat felt like a fucking year, when they finally get to their destination they meander for like 25 minutes, admit it only the opening and the ending were decent, literally nothing happens in between

pusher 2 is peak refn kino. no other film from him comes even close
